I’ve only been to this location twice, once when it had opened and once before it closes soon. I’m not sure when it’s closing, but it’s moving up north? It wasn’t crowded when we came here on a Thursday night so there was plenty of parking and plenty of tables to choose from. Apparently it had gotten rid of some of its booths and pool tables not too long before we came. We wanted to order several types of wings but unfortunately they either ran out or wasn’t making the flavors we wanted that night(i.e. Parmesan Garlic). We ended up getting Medium, Chipotle Honey, Habanero BBQ and I think the last one was called General something Teriyaki. They all were okay(though I didn’t try the habanero one) except for Medium which didn’t really have any flavor in it. We asked them for more sauce so they tossed our Mediums and then it came out dripping in sauce. For drinks we ordered some beers and pitchers. No complaints there. Like everyone else has mentioned, it’s a bit out of the way to get here and the location overlooks the 15, so not much to look at. If you’re trying to go to a Hooters, I suggest heading to another location. This one is closing soon anyways!

Came here this past Saturday with friends to watch football and boy was I disappointed. I actually have not been to a Hooter’s in a few years and this past visit was probably my last. It used to be that when you ordered boneless wings you got nice, fat strips of chicken. Now, they are like little chicken nuggets… bye Hooters… Tilted Kilt has better food and the uniforms for the waitresses are much more pleasing to the eye.

I struggled to give this establishment even one star. If you are looking for a place to sit down, wait an hour to get a drink order, then wait another 45 minutes to get drinks or food(yes nearly two hours)… This is the place for you. The source of this distortion of a restaurant is unknown, but I do know the management is NOT customer friendly. This was proven when the manager and waitstaff told us our order was late because we ordered 50 hot wings.(WHAT! This is your signature dish?) Bottom line, horrible establishment that serves mediocre food with small screens.

I used to go a lot to this Hooters when I was an avid user of Foursquare app(before they change their privacy policy) because every time I checked in I instantly won tons of free yummy chicken wings. These days I only go if I am staying late at work, with some colleagues because of the food stills is edible and the drinks are good priced. There is tons of space and views to a crowded freeway, so do not expect a super cool atmosphere, but somewhat I like it. The crowd is very familiar, not like in other Hooters, I see many kids going here, and also women who just like their food. I am not into the tiny bodies with huge fake boobs. I think that aesthetic is ugly, and with really bad taste(sorry, I am not into vulgar, although all the girls working there have been very nice to me:), so definitively if I frequent the place is for the goodies and the closeness to work.

Horrible experience. First time and last time here. Been to restaurants the world over and have never walked out after placing my order until now. Went too Hooters RB this evening with my infant son to watch the Chargers game. Seated immediately. Waitress Kelsie took my drink order soon thereafter and it just goes downhill from there. Beer order placed 5 minutes before kickoff and when it still didn’t arrive by the end of the first quarter, despite me asking at least 3 times, my patience finally ran out. I took my son and headed out. By the way it took 15 minutes before Kelsie came back after taking my drink order before even taking my food order. I had the courtesy to respectfully tell Kelsie we were leaving and why. She didn’t seem to care and went straight to the food line to cancel my food order. Even more ticked off, I respectfully told the shift manager Lauren we were bailing and why. She was apologetic and offered to pack our food to go, on the house. It still wasn’t ready and I wasn’t looking for a free food experience so my hungry 19 month old boy and I straight left. This place is overrated and I’m never coming back. Wouldn’t recommend it to any family member or friend. By the way, we ended up at Miguel’s down the road– seated right away, drinks arrived 4 minutes later, and delicious meal arrived soon thereafter. Night ended on a great note with a Chargers win!

Sigh… Hooters. If this weren’t one of my boyfriend’s favorite places(he says it’s for the wings and not anything else and for his sake, he better be telling the truth), I likely would never have stepped foot into a Hooters. The sports bar scene just isn’t my thing. The food is typical bar food and much of it is greasy. I often try to be healthy and have ordered a green salad. I will admit that the tater tots are tasty but I always feel guilty eating them because I know how ridiculously unhealthy they are. I know they’re known for their wings but I’m not that impressed. I’ve had better chicken in other places.

First thing first: the waitresses here steal from you! Don’t come here! Once a waitress here shorted me my change(the actual change, a little over .60 cents) and another time I came with friends for happy hour and we paid with cash and a card. The waitress tried to keep the cash without applying it to the bill($ 10). Worst Hooters location EVER! Never coming to this location again. I sent a complaint to their corporate and haven’t heard anything back at all. They haven’t even acknowledged the complaint. The only thing that was good was the food(which took about 30 minutes to get!!) Like I said never coming here again. Don’t waste your time people!

This is by far the worst Hooters location in San Diego but I mean that solely in terms of location. The food and staff are just as good as other Hooters but the location is terrible. It’s hidden and difficult to find despite being just off the 15. The restaurant is next to a boarded up former hotel, which is odd. All of this likely contributes to why the restaurant is moving to San Marcos in January. Onto the food, I ordered the ten piece boneless chicken wings, half with samurai and the other half with honey Thai. I always get the samurai but decided to try the honey Thai for the first time. Both were delicious and I would recommend the two sauces together. Hooters has beer specials during football games and often give out free Hooters lotto tickets where you can win free food and drinks.

I’ve had pretty bad experiences here. The only reason why I’d go is when someone would invite to go eat with them here. The hooter girls are very sweet, don’t get me wrong. But I think they’re unorganized. One time when I went, my boyfriend, friends and I got our food after an hour, like a whole hour, on their wing Wednesday thingy?(Idk, some wing special). Another time, we order a certain smoothie with alcohol. We paid about $ 7 for the drink, and it had no alcohol. It was just a super sweet smoothie, we asked to get another one, they refused and simply told us that they swore they put alcohol. The«alcohol» and ice never even split when the ice melted. Anyway, another time, we actually got our food on time but it was cold… Like, all bad, every time I go. I gave them 2 stars because eh, the ladies are sweet :)

I have not been to this Hooter’s in awhile. I still love the wings. I am glad they are sort of expanding there beer selection. Expanding is a big stretch. The service has improved though. It is still a little slow but much better than I remember from my last visit. A lot of times it depends on who your server is. I am also surprised this place is open later than there Mission Valley location during the week. For the RB area this is really late.

I’m a little surprised how many negative reviews this place has gotten. I must usually be lucky when I go. First, while it is true that some of the food is mediocre and what I like to call cafeteria quality, some is surprisingly quite good. I’ve spent a surprisingly number of meals at Hooters(long story) so I’ve tried a few different things and I have to say that while I haven’t had one lately, I always found their burgers REALLY good. Now, I’m not a fan of the fried pickles, but the tots… OHTHETOTS. LOVE them. Especially with sour cream, cheese and green onions on top. YEA! Maybe I just really love tots, although they never taste that good at home. I also really like the boneless wings(I’m NOT a regular bone in wing kind of girl ATALL) when they serve them hot. I love the great variety of sauces you can choose from and while I usually pick your every day standard«hot», I like having the OPTION of something else and I have exercised it a time or two. So, depending on what you’re ordering, the food can be really good or mediocre. Choose wisely. Service at this particular location has always been REALLY good for me. I’ve never had inattentive servers or my food jacked up or problems overall. I actually secret shopped this location YEARRRRS ago and the only thing they got dinged on was their lighting wasn’t up to standards, service was good. On this most recent visit, our server kept my water glass full and kept an eye on us. Now on AYCE wing night I will say the wait time for the wings to come out was TOO long. First time I’ve had this problem and it seems with the number of people tossing wings in the kitchen they could have kept up since it wasn’t really full in there, but whatever. I’m not complaining because it wasn’t my usual experience and I wasn’t in a hurry, but they may not be equipped to handle their special occasions! For the people who do not like the games and trivia… um, maybe you shouldn’t go to Hooters? Just saying. That’s part of the experience and I LIKEIT! So there. I was sad there were no games last night! Overall, I like Hooters and this location and I’ll keep going back to get my wings and tots on. I’d totally go 3.5 stars if it was an option.

First time at a Hooters. Our waitress was attentive — but their food is so… blah! I guess people really do come here for the ladies lol.

Came here not for the wings… but to purchase a couple of tanks that my friends and I will use for the Costume Run next month. I haven’t been to this particular location so I wasn’t sure where the merchandise(and I’m not referring to the merchandise stuffed in the white hooters tanks and tight orange shorts) are located. As soon as I walked in I saw only men at the restaurant — having lunch with big smiles on their faces. It’s a great thing the merchandise for sale were located right by the entrance. Seriously… I couldn’t wait to get out of this place and complete my purchase. For some reason, I’m really creeped out by the guys that were there that day.

I hadn’t been to Hooters in a long tiime and though I wasn’t expecting much, I received even less. The service was ok but the food was cold. Not even remotely crowded you’d think your food would be warm when brought to table however, all three of us received less than luke warm, fries. Upon request our server graciously agreed to bring hot fries out ASAP but the cook seemed to be in slo mo. My brother ordered all you can eat wings but at 15 + minute intervals there was no time for seconds. Though he did get a second order in, they never arrived at our table during our 45 minute visit. We grabbed the second helping in a «to go» box on the way to the register. Our server was slightly freaked that we helped our selves to our long awaited order sitting under the heat lamp but quickly made light of the situation when we reminded her we couldn’t wait so long on a lunch break. Maybe just a bad day? I don’t know. Maybe I’d forgotten why I hadn’t been to Hooters in so long. Again, I’m not certain but, at this tiime I know I wont be going back for a long time. Well, at least the Iced Tea was cold

In all honesty, you don’t actually go to Hooters for the food. It’s not that tasty or anything. It’s the atmosphere. Hooters girls are fun and friendly and(most of the time) hot. You get completely fucked up at happy hour after a 12 hour shift at work, and an ego-boost from these ladies is what makes you feel like the day wasn’t that bad! So this place was one of the three places my coworkers and I would go on Fridays for happy hour. Come in, demand four Jagerbombs to start off the night without even looking at the menu. While those drinks are on their way, you can decide what beers you want and what half-priced appetizers you feel like.(Go for the 10-pc wings! All the other things kinda taste like they’re fried out of the freezer. I mean the wings might have been too, but they’re doused in sauce and you get to dip in ranch or blue cheese, so you can’t really go wrong there. Also the fried pickles! Almost forgot about those bad boys! Why the fuck are they so good when they’re really not?) And then four more Jagerbombs to start round two! As other coworkers stroll in, get an accurate count of people(and text the others to see if they’re coming) so you can order the right number of Jagerbombs for rounds three, four, and five. Seating is good. We’ve always been able to pull together two or three tables without any problems. Then you start feeling tipsy… Round six! Oh no! I need to puke! just kidding, that was only once. At least I didn’t fall asleep on the toilet like one coworker did. Yes you Eric. The girls! Avery!!! The best ever! She doesn’t work there anymore. Coincidentally I have stopped going to Hooters. No really, it’s a coincidence. I’m not in San Diego anymore. Also, Taylor is gorgeous. She was there the last time I was in May or June of this year. SO yea, $ 5 Jagerbombs, $ 3 well drinks, some cheap beer, and half priced appetizers. Get piss drunk and admire the view. And then sober up and drive safely :) Seriously, Avery, we miss you. I miss you. I love you.

I’ve been taking my boyz to Hooters for their birthday for years! We went to this location just out of convenience because we were in the area. The service was ok, I mean… our hostess was super nice. But she really wasn’t attentive much, it was almost like it was her first time OR even her first day working there. 1. We told her in the beginning it was my son’s birthday and this is where he picked to eat dinner. She didn’t bother letting the other girls know so they can do their little bday celebrant shindig. Instead some other dude got the bday treatment. So we had to remind her again for her to catch on. My son finally got to do the bday shindig. Usually every year they give him a free dessert… um…he didn’t get any at this location. BOO! 2. She brought us our bill, gave her my card, she came back with the receipts but no pen to sign it or give her a tip. She walked off all fast, so I kinda assumed she was gonna fetch a pen… but she never came back. So then I assumed she didn’t want a tip, so I didn’t bother leaving her a tip. The Mission Valley location is way better. The only good thing about this location is that it wasn’t very busy at all.

OK, let’s be honest here. Who doesn’t like chowing down on hot wings while being served beer by chicks with huge knockers? I can’t help but notice that whenever I come here most of the tables are filled with testosterone driven dudes looking for some eye candy. The food isn’t great here, but who really comes here for the food anyway, am I right? Hell, Hooters is known for their wings, so that’s what I always get. I went here on Tuesday because my friends wanted to do the AYCE wings for $ 12.99. It’s a pretty sweet deal since you can pick from all the flavors they’ve got. My personal favorites are Hot, Spicy Garlic, and Daytona, which is like a Hot/BBQ mix. They’ve got a new flavor called Honey Thai, if you’re into that Asian Sweet Chili sauce. It also happened to be Trivia Night so I was all over that. I even nominated myself to be captain of the team at our table! The first round was pretty hard… random trivia questions like«What city manufactures the largest number of eggrolls?» The second round was about Canada and our table aced it with a 100%. Apparently, so did 2 other tables so we had to do a tiebreaker model walk across the restaurant. I was a little shy about it at first, but I sucked it up and it paid off. Victory was mine since I got the loudest cheers from the whole restaurant. I won a chance to spin the wheel and ended up getting a coupon for a free entrée! The location is in a weird place since you can see it off the freeway, but kinda far back from the street entrance. Hooters is cool if I’m tagging along with friends, but it’s not a place I’d actually pick to go to. What can I say, it’s a chain restaurant and somewhat of a tourist attraction. I prefer heading elsewhere with a little more local flavor.

Yay! I’m a fan of this Hooters. Yes I am. One doesn’t have to be an adolescent male suburbanite from the hills to make this the place to get your jollies as there were several other birthdays being celebrated. There’s nothing quite the youthful exuberance of youthful bros being bros getting excited over one of their fellow bros getting spanked by a Hooters girl. It’s not quite Vegas bachelor party shenanigans, but a fine start at the high school level. We just happened to be there for a friend’s bday gig as well. The ladies working tonight’s shift were just as cheerful, friendly, and cute as can be, especially our waitress who didn’t seem too knowledgable about beer or wine, but knew what name brands were available. Customer 1: Can I get a zinfandel? Waitress: What’s a zinfandel? Customer 1: o_O Customer 2: What do you have for ambers or brown ales? Waitress: um… Customer 2: Do you have anything like Newcastle? Waitress: We have Newcastle. Customer 2: l will have a Newcastle. Large. As far as food goes, the fried apps went well. Tater tots are always good, especially loaded with toppings. Fried pickles, too. Yum. That was the good, but the chicken could’ve been a little better. Wifey doesn’t like spicy so she got the mild boneless breaded. She asked for more mild sauce since the order didn’t have much and it wasn’t spicy at all. I ordered hot wings and they were served up temperature hot, but not spicy hot. Great customer service and this location had noticably sweet eye candy this evening, but the food isn’t. I’m not expecting phenominal cuisine from the Hooters kitchen. Who really goes there for the food anyways?

The goods: Military gets 20% off on Mondays, the chicks, and the beers. The bads: The wings!!! All other Hooters I’ve been to were average and the wings were average, but for whatever reason, this Hooters didn’t give me that«average» Hooters flavor that I was used to. They were just sub-par and although I finished the 20 wings I ordered, I felt the need to just to finish it because I was taught to not waste my food. I had no good feelings towards the wings. Bad wings. bad wings! And although they have decent beers, ok looking waitresses and a military discount on Mondays, those three positive factors didn’t really make up for the crappy wings. After all, that is the main dish that Hooters makes and it’s my regular staple everytime I go to hooters. I mean, you can have crappy beers, fugly waitresses and no discount, but I would give a higher rating if their wings were decent. Again, maybe it was just a random fluke, since every other Hooters I’ve been to have been making«average» wings, so I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt and come back on a future visit.

I’m a huge fan of the Hooters location in Mission Valley… but I didn’t expect to be really disappointed by the Rancho Bernardo Hooters location. Perhaps it’s because of the location, but it just seemed like something’s missing here. When we came here this past Friday, we were expecting the place to be jumping. After all, it’s Friday night, it’s past nine p.m., and it’s Hooters, right? Wrong! The first clue we should’ve gotten about the vibe here was how empty the parking lot was here at the time we pulled in. The service — or rather, the quality of service was the second clue. I don’t know if it was a slow night or anything, but the energetic and friendly vibe the Hooters girls at the Mission Valley location possess was really missing here. At one point, the mama-san, I mean, house mom(she was dressed like a manager, so I figured she was in charge of the girls) had to refill our drink orders as our server was a bit busy with another table. Not to mention that it took at least five minutes for us to get our bill — only after my group was staring contemptuously at the house mom and a couple of the wait staff, and I was seriously contemplating putting my hand up and snapping my fingers. And not just that… the girls honestly weren’t really that attractive either; my dinner companion Melaura turned a lot more heads than our server(who was sporting a Snooki pouf due to a Bump-It) and the rest of the girls did that night. At least the food wasn’t bad; while the cole slaw served with my Blackened Mahi-Mahi sandwich was a bit ehh, the sandwich itself was up to spec. Believe it or not, one of the reasons I come to Hooters is for the food, so at least this location gets it right. While I will admit that this place has a nice view, as well as a pool table and free throw game(probably to compensate for what’s lacking here), I’m still loyal to the Mission Valley Hooters.
