Ah, memories… I remember when Ico actually had a brick-​and-​mortar location in the early to mid-​nineties (where Sherman Williams is now located, if memory serves me correctly). I would go there after school to browse the shelves, and when my mom’s prayer group needed to rent a helium tank for church fiestas, we would go here.
While Ico now is located inside Seafood City, and mainly dabbles in Hello Kitty and Pinoy merchandise, as well as continuing to rent out helium tanks, I still stop by to look around whenever I’m in the area. Some of the bootleg shirts are actually quite funny; I found one in the Harry Potter font saying «Harry Pekpek» (for all you non-​Filipino readers, ask your Pinoy friends what it means… and prepare to get smacked). Of course, there’s plenty of Pacquiao merch as well — what Filipino store doesn’t carry it?

IN MY OPINION ITS GREED, GREED, GREEDY… GREED!
I went to Joe Ico for Tax issue’s & HE MADE A MISTAKE. We all know Filipinos don’t admit to there mistakes, & Joe got VERY Defensive on small issue. You would think after the 10% fee PAID per return total he would do it as favor. This Petty Old School Filipino… anyone in there opinion can see this practice is bad for Business
The once ICO who had big party supply place, Hosted Sarah G. Concerts, & respected in Mira Mesa would be a man. The Result was a like fight with your Parents… «Wants Respect even though he was Wrong.» «He only clammed up after mentioning a new payment.» I paid the Big baby to Amend my Tax return…
I will never go back to this loser Again. I think its GREED for a Drive-​through tax Appt. Pare… Go somewhere else… GOD will place Judgement on his Greed. (MAN???)

This place brings back some kick ass memories.
I know they do party supplies and rentals, but back in the day… this place was the ULTIMATE Sanrio headquarters.
Lets just reminisce about the Ol’ Skool Crew. Lets hear it for Kerropi, Badtz Maru, Pekkle, Spottie Dottie, Hello Kitty and my personal fav, POCHACCO.
I used to save up all my money and beg my mom to take me to ICO so I could blow it on those cloth Pochacco drawstring bags, notepads, mechanical pencils with Pochacco doo-​hickeys, and any thing you can think of… as long as it had my dear friend Pochacco on it. If you didn’t know, Pochacco is retired now. I admit, I still have a soft spot for Sanrio. I’m in my mid-20’s and I am STILL a sucker for Sanrio.
Anyway, over time the shelves which stocked all my favorite characters started to grow increasingly bare, and I got a license and started venturing on to other places that carried Sanrio. Unfortunately, I must report: The inventory isn’t all that great anymore.
As for party supplies, my mom still comes here when shes in a pinch.
