The dog purses in the window display caught our attention(see picture). Overall, the store is a cute boutique. I also admired the long green dress in the window display but I could never wear it or justify the price of it or any other item in the store. If the dog purse hadn’t been $ 40, my friend probably would have bought one. That and if the sales attendant had gotten off her cell phone, we may have been persuaded …

I used to like this store and used to shop frequently till a friend started working there and told me whats behind the scenes. Said the owners daughter that runs the SD store has such a complex that you couldn’t breath without her getting on your case. Also, in regards to what naomi p. posted about EVERYTHING being crossed out, then repriced. It’s to make it look like its on sale when in reality they do that as soon as the clothes are brought into the store. They’re WAYYYY overpriced. Ex. a top tagged with a price of $ 59 they bought it for $ 9. There was a jacket I liked and was going to get that was $ 269(with a crossed out price of $ 279). Until my friend told me the invoice that came with the jacket showed they bought it for $ 80!!! Lastly, when tears or stains occur to the merchandise while in the store or if by some slim chance they let you exchange it, the sales girls have to sew, clean or glue the items so that it can be resold. Never will be going back there again. TOTALLYSHADY!

Wow… those are some seriously harsh reviews. I love this store. I was pleasantly surprised when I walked into the store conveniently located smack dab in the middle of 5th street. For the location,(consider their rent) I thought the clothes would be way out of my price range. They have really cute unique stuff. I think whoever does their buying is doing a great job. I always get compliments on stuff I’ve worn from there. The sales girls are always nice and helpful. My only qualm is their short return and exchange policy. I think it’s 14 days, but I could be wrong on that.

Some cute clothes, some ugly clothes, like forever 21 but waaaay too overpriced. I love Kinsee M’s review — i thought there was something fishy about the crossed out prices on EVERYTHING. I’ve bought a few scarves here before, but the hideous dog purses that are in the store right now have scared me away(they look like little dogs… but have handles). Also, they don’t take returns — if u don’t like something, u have to either exchange it or get store credit.

I am posting some pictures up for this store. I want everyone to know that owning a purse that looks like a dog is not okay. I also want everyone to know that owning a purse and putting a real dog in it is also not okay. end public service announcement.

This botique has really stylish hip clothing for great prices! I always find hot clothes here. It’s a great place to find a dress for going out or dinner parties. And if you happen to go when there’s a sale… score! I bought a cute pair of rhinestone shoes for $ 16. The service is always really great! The sales associate acted like she was my personal shopper. She picked out dresses, etc. for me. Definitely one of my favorite places to shop.

I liked this shop. I bought a dress here that is the cutest thing I ever saw. I think I paid too much for it, but there were other dresses, etc. in the store that were pretty good prices and really really cute. The people were nice, and the clothes were cute. I can’t speak for anything other than that, but I shopped at a few stores that day, and this one was by far the winner!

What a contrast between this location and that of La Jolla! The presentation of the clothes is way more orderly, and the store in itself doesn’t look like a hodgepodge of flashy garments destined for a tacky older clientele. Although I’m not passionate about this particular store either, I have to say that If you, unlike me, are a Jacques Lelong supporter, you’re better off going to this spacious downtown location; you actually might find quite a few cute pieces.

Full disclosure yet again: I worked at Jacques LeLong for a few months. I’m going to let y’all in on a few secrets. The first one is kind of a big one, here it is: you can get the same shit over at LA Rack, only, it’s about $ 10 cheaper. Got it? Okay, here’s the second secret: they like to mess with your mind at Jacques Lelong. Yeah, they write $ 69 on the price tag then cross it out and write $ 49. It makes you think you’re getting a good deal, but the stupid garment was never $ 69. I used to be one of the ones writing it on the tag and immediately crossing it out then writing the lower price. Yep. Truth be told, however, you can still get some okay deals at this place. The front two racks are the sale racks and you can pick up some cute stuff for under $ 20.
