Disappointing. I was a loyal customer. I ordered a chai latte for my boss and got a latte. No big deal, I thought. I took it back and asked politely with nobody behind me in line for it to be corrected and was told it was my fault and that I had to pay for the replacement drink. When asked why, I was told that it was because the owner would charge the barista the full price($ 3.50) for the mistake. She also insisted it was my fault. I wasn’t going to argue. I went ahead and bought another since I wasn’t about to leave my boss empty-handed back in the office. And then I was told, with attitude, that I had to take the wrong drink with me and that I couldn’t leave it behind. This is not consistent with a quality establishment. On the SUBASE, they have a captive audience mostly. But quality and pleasing the customer should matter. Perhaps, at its root, it is not the fault of this young woman and it just reflects poor quality, poor policies and poor training. But her snarky attitude didn’t make it better.
