This place consistently makes an excellent sandwich — love the number 7 sandwich, and I love the service with a smile! They’re also not pushy like other sandwich places are, which I very much appreciate!

Great food and great service. Ideal if you don’t want to cook dinner or make lunch. Good selection too. No regrets and much better and fresher bread than the competition.

Went there earlier and had a pretty disappointing experience. I usually eat at jersey mikes by my house but was in a different part of town and felt like having a sub at a different location. I ordered a Reg size sub and the worker cut the bread to the size of almost a mini sub without asking me what size I even wanted. He then forgot to put pickles and jalapeños after I told him twice and even irritated the woman next to me ordering his food by continuously asking her if she wanted it «mikes way» and she did not. I was charged over $ 8 for a tiny little sandwich and feel ripped off and disappointed in this jersey mikes location and staff. As I was eating my sub there because I was starved after working out, the same employee that was messing up asked the lady that he irritated if she wanted a free cookie without even acknowledging the fact that I was there and he messed my sub up. Also, the tomatoes were very soggy and not fresh. Well that’s the last time I go to this location. Never had any issue at the jersey mikes on El Cajon Blvd and I go there all the time!

Very disappointed, bad experience! I entered the shop, no one there, I was the first customer in line. The associate asks me if I knew what I wanted and I did. Another customer walked in who ordered a hot sandwich and I was handed off to someone from the back. So of course, my #8 had roast beef when it’s supposed to be ham. I wasn’t sue if it was mine since now a third person came in and a third associate now came out from the back. I waited at least two minutes not knowing if in deed that was my sandwich or not, it was and I had to correct the order. Then the first associate asked me if I wanted it «Mikes Way» I said yes with easy mayo and easy on the vinegar/oil since I’m freaking pregnant. He drenched it in oil totally disregarding my request. Then the shop was not well inventoried with a basic chip selection. And to top it off, the sandwich destroyer drenching my sandwich rang me up asking me to «answer the question» on the ATM machine. The question was if I wanted to leave a freaking tip! WOWJUSTWOW! Team needs to communicate more effectively to make good sandwiches, don’t hand off customers(especially pregnant one who came in first!)! Kristin F., general manager, please reach out to me and your team! I want a refund!!!

I just love my Jersey Mike’s Subs! The roast beef is delicious and one of the employees told me that they actually make their roast beef in-house(I’m not sure if this is true but I’m going to continue to believe it until someone tells me otherwise)!! I love that it is so close to my work and they even give us Kaiser employees a meal deal discount. I highly recommend you sign up for their online coupon club so you get sent coupons every few weeks! It is totally worth it! Often times, I’d get a coupon for $ 1 off or free chips and a drink. I also suggest you get their rewards card and rack up points for free subs! Parking in this plaza can be hard during certain hours to be aware!

The food quality is right line with other locations. The employees are friendly and attentive. The one drawback is that this location is unbearably slow. Even when there are only 2 – 3 customers it takes a long time to get through. Great sandwiches.

Went in yesterday… after waiting a few minutes to be served by employees who were talking in the back, the manager comes out and says«Blame Jamal we ran out of bread!!!» Then she proceeds to put a note on the door that says, «Sorry, ran out of bread… AGAIN!» Terrible service and very unprofessional.

First, I should start by saying if I had written this review a few months ago instead of today it would have been 5 stars. Sadly, this place seems to be having a change of staff and therefore lack of consistency as of late. Prior to today this left me disappointed but not completely unhappy. Today that all changed. I always order a veggie sandwich and honestly I try to not always(though sometimes I do depending on the situation) ask for them to change gloves etc. but today I WATCHED as one of the employees who seemed to be trying to clean the prep counter threw the lettuce, peppers and BEEF that fell off someone’s sandwich into the lettuce tub.(**this is the tub where«fresh» lettuce will be taken out of and put on peoples sandwiches.) I have several issues with this, of course the obvious is I do not eat meat. However, it is not just about me — if someone had an allergy or other food safety issue this might have been a huge problem. The guy did remove the lettuce tub to get a new one only after I said I would have gotten lettuce if he had not thrown beef and peppers(with oil and vinegar) into the lettuce. He told me he would just throw away all the lettuce and get new tub. I don’t really know why this happened — but if I hadn’t said something ingredients that we not ordered would have gone on my or someone else’s sandwich. I can’t even say my sandwich was good because I took in plain since I didn’t know what I would get. I used to really like this place.

I wanted to privately email the owner but you didn’t have that option. I’ve been in this location many times and the guys that work there are always very nice greet you when you walk in smiling :-) they say thank you today were two women Sunday at 3:30 they were more into talking to themselves then helping customers I was waiting for what seemed like forever for two sandwiches and there was only one person in front of me and one girl started sweeping then they started talking to each other forgetting they had customers, one of them started to make a sandwich but didn’t finish just helped the customer behind me. I saw her scrape lettuce that fell off the sandwich on the cutting board back on the sandwich and that was mixed with other peoples oils and such rather then to have been scraped into a barrel. I CANT eat onions she used the same gloves she made the previous sandwich with that had a ton of onions. In the past I would have given 5 stars.

I really like this place! Decided to give it a try after the dinners in the bag billboard it worked. Very clean very friendly and prompt service. These guys have to hand slice each meat on the sandwiches and do so with a huge smile. I am sold they are the best in the west. I ordered the #13 which is their specialty since it was my first time I like to try the classics

Pretty standard. Consistent with other locations… Good service, fresh ingredients, and so-so subs. Just not my favorite.

The guy took my order and then right away took the next persons order and my sandwich was just sitting there. She ordered like 4 sandwiches and I was waiting there for a while until his coworkers showed up and another guy started making my sandwich. I had to repeat my order to him because he still had to put my bacon and avocado on it. He was about to change the bread because it was only an inch wide but he didn’t then I asked him to and when I did he said he was thinking about it but he didnt. He should have. He finished my sandwich and put so much mayonnaise on it I actually did not enjoy my sandwich at all and now I’m pretty turned off from Jersey Mikes. After I paid he said he didn’t charge me for the avocado because of what happened. Cool but the sandwich was still horrible. I showed them my Unilocal offer for a free cookie and said I wanted chocolate chip but i grabbed an oatmeal raisin instead. They should have told me. I did not like the cookie.

I’ve got to give these guys five stars for a great first time dining experience at this location. And they had plenty of staff there to help customer so there was almost no line even at noon. The place was clean and fully stocked with all the condiments necessary for a great sub. I ordered a turkey avocado bacon sub with extra cheese and got it toasted… Yum! I even forgot to add a couple ingredients & at the end and they were happy to add them to my sandwich with a smile. Since it was my first time there, I even got a free first the big chocolate chip cookie for dessert. You can sit inside or outside at one of the small tables on the sidewalk and enjoy the fresh Mission Valley air ;) The sandwiches are ample-sized so you definitely won’t leave hungry.

Jersey Mike’s is something I crave at least once a week! I love their veggie sub and the delicious red pepper spread they have! They do tend to add way too much lettuce, oil, and vinegar so make sure you ask for«light» on those. They have such friendly staff at the Mission Gorge location. They also offer great discounts found on «Coupon Sherpa» app and those affiliated with military branches!

Way better sandwiches than subway. OK customer service. Usually get the sauces and oils on the side so the sandwich isn’t soggy from the short drive home.

I’ve been to several Jersey Mike’s around town with pretty good results for the most part. This time around I I tried their Famous Roast and Provolone on wheat bread prepared Mike’s way, but I added bacon for an extra charge.( The sandwich was good and the bacon definitely added texture and flavor. The certified Angus USDA Choice roast beef was good, and they put a moderate amount of it nicely layered with all the other ingredients.( ) Everything tasted fresh and the for mention bacon was crispy and crunchy.( ) The roll was okay. This an area I would consider improvement. It is not the first time I’ve experience bread that was a little dry and lacking in flavor from Jersey Mike’s. It was just okay, but I wish they would change to a more moister and chewier roll that would provide a sense of a memorable experience. The employees at the counter were up beat and well spirited. However, the girl who took my order was so full of energy that she initially did not hear that I added bacon, so I had to tell the girl who was making my sandwich, and the she told the girl I wanted white bread instead of wheat, but I corrected it at the assembly line. Sometimes to much energy can be a hindrance, but it was all good. For the crispy bacon… a solid 3.5 stars.

Stopped by really quickly after work to bring some food home and man are they fast! They’re also the happiest and most enthusiastic fast food/chain store workers I’ve ever encountered. Much appreciated after a long day. Sandwiches weren’t falling apart, and they didn’t skimp on anything. A regular will run you $ 6 + some change and should fill you up, being that it’s somewhere between a subway 6″ and footlong. except the ingredients are much fresher and in greater abundance. To order correctly: state the size, menu item #, type of bread(white/wheat), mike’s way(+/-condiments) E.g. Regular #7 on wheat, mike’s way no onions. boom.
