Today was my first time getting sugaring done which I was nervous about but Karin was so helpful with providing the correct information and she was genuinely caring. I most definitely felt safe and since Karin knew what she was doing it was very easy to trust her. Like she said sugaring wouldn’t hurt as much as waxing and it really didn’t. I am most definitely going back to visit Karin sometime soon for an amazing facial.

This spa is a jewell in PB, Karin is wonderful, professional and really cares about the quality of the services she offers. My brows have never looked this good, I love sugaring. The facials are highly recommended as well, my skin was soft and in general it was a wonderful experience because Karin uses good products and she puts love in her work!

My fav spot in San Diego! Karin always gets the job done what ever I need. She’s the best at sugaring I’ve always felt very comfortable and happy with the product. I recently had a breakout from stress levels and had my first real facial with her and she did a great job, two days later my face is almost completely clear! She’s amazing. Deff my favorite spa in San Diego and I’m not going to go anywhere else !

What can I say that hasn’t already been said? Karin is wonderful. My skin went totally out of control a few weeks before my wedding, and Karin got it back into shape in time for the big day. I got the Wahine facial and my face was so smooth and glowy it was hard to keep my hands off! Her products are gentle on my sensitive/​acne-​probe skin, and I appreciate how detail-​oriented she is with extraction and the dermafile – she didn’t miss a spot. The whole experience and atmosphere was incredibly relaxing, I think I even fell asleep at one point during the massage. She also squeezed me in for a facial sugaring the week prior, and was so flexible with my hectic schedule. I highly recommend going to see Karin, especially if you have an important event coming up, it’s well worth it!

I can count on one hand how many times I have had facials in my life. I never really enjoyed it or found the benefit worth the cost of facials until I saw Karin. The whole experience, except for the extraction which I doubt anyone enjoys, was wonderful. My skin felt great afterward and I didn’t breakout the next day. The products she used are made of tropical fruits that made me feel like I was having a dessert facial. I definitely will be coming to her again.

I went to Karin for one of the body wraps. I had never experienced a wrap before and this was the perfect spa to indulge at.
I got a bit claustrophobic as she was wrapping me. She sensed it and couldn’t have been more patient and kind; reminding me she’d be in room the whole time, and totally put me at ease.
Once I was all wrapped up — the neck & shoulder massage was fantastic and I relaxed so much that I even dozed off a bit! :)
My appointment was a couple of days ago & my skin is still SO soft. I look forward to going back for more! Thinking it might be a nice treat before my wedding!

Karin is the best! I’ve been going to her for sugaring for a while now. Her Brazilians are the best and she does a great job on my eyebrows. I’m very, very picky about my eyebrows and am relieved to have someone I can rely on.

This just isn’t possible. Can this place really be this good? I thought Karin had 132 close friends who wrote 5 star reviews for her. Nope. She’s just amazing! I wish I had known about this place sooner. Best facial EVER, for real, and the products are really beneficial. I tried sugaring for the first time and I’m hooked.

I have been going to Ka-​Lai Spa for sugaring for about 1 year now and I can honestly say I have never been disappointed. In fact, I never though that I had good eyebrows until I let Karin work her magic. now I love them! She is amazing at what she does and is extremely thorough. I have very blonde hair and she makes sure to get every little fuzz so that my brows look perfect every time. They frequently have discounts so you can really get a great price for an amazing service. I would definitely recommend Ka-​Lai and Karin to anybody!

PURE BLISS! Best facial I’ve had in a very long time! I felt like I was in the islands with all the wonderful smells & sounds. Not only did I get a great facial but a neck, shoulder & arm massage. I got the Whine facial which included extractions, which sometimes you don’t get at other places… what’s the point if you don’t get that! My skin felt & looked amazing. Can’t wait to try the sugar glow body scrub next time!

Karen is amazing at what she does! The spa was undergoing a move to a new location and she still took me in as an emergency client. She did her best to make sure the experience was as little pain as possible, and she gave me a lot of tips to help prevent/​get rid of ingrown hairs. Definitely recommend you try it out sugaring is a lot better for your skin than waxing.

I went to Ka-​Lai Spa for the first time since I followed Mackenzie from her last job to this spa. She recommended that I book my monthly brow wax on Wednesdays since they have the $ 10 Brow Wax promotion, and it was great!
Mackenzie does a great job shaping brows and telling you funny stories, and is very thorough in tweezing those tiny stray hairs that might not get waxed off. It was also my first time sugaring and I was surprised at how comfortable and not painful it was!
The best part is that this spa is open late which means I don’t have to rush over in the post-​work rush hour traffic to make my appointment. I will definitely be back to get my brows done regularly!
