Inexpensive, quick and best of all no hairs after the haircut. This is the only place where I can cut my hair and they use vacuum to vacuum the hair that was just freshly cut from your head. Been coming here for about 10 years and this place is great.

Sal does fades good. It was nice when they had it going but as time goes on this place is more like a hole in the wall business

Barber/Skate Shop… now that’s a first for me. In any case, I Unilocal’d for a barber shop in my area and this is one of the closer choices. Upon entering the first thing I noticed was the waiting bench which was covered in a glorious multi-green camo, and the bottom the same with the exception that it was a digital print. Whoa — motivating. One barber there upon opening, an older Filipino(I’m assuming) man. I asked for a medium skin fade and that’s what I got. Not the best skin fade I’ve ever received but for $ 10 it was pretty good. For an extra $ 5 I could get a cleaner fade BUT I get haircuts every week(oorah Marine Corps) so this is the next best step up from getting a haircut from a PX Barber(Never…again…). The clippers used were an older, overall metal build, which was cool upon touch but that sh#% hurt when it tugged a hair — combine the weight of the clippers and his force he’d be sometimes pushing my head. Also instead of moving around me or to the side he would tend to shift my head almost perpendicular to the front — not really annoying, but not really comfortable after a while. I’d add an extra half star for the location(it’s near a Mexican food shop, a Panderia, and a 7-Eleven) but I can’t do that. Damn you Unilocal! Needless to say, $ 10…I’d do it again.

If your looking for a good fade then don’t go here you wont be happy with the service I went in and saw lines on the haircuts being done… their clippers have hoover hoses attached to them 1st sign of NOPE! then the people were older. One cut looked like a airforce hair cut. I haven’t found a barber in this area yet that has good young barbers that can do a MEANFADE i want at least 3 to 4 clippers used on my haircut!

I have been going to this place since my bro worked here during his high school days. The place first started as a pretty busy skate shop and haircut parlor and is now more of a haircut parlor and storage space for skateboarding apparel and parts. You do get an occasional kid that comes by and looks at the skateboarding stuff, but that’s pretty much it. The barbers are nice and welcoming. Also, don’t be fooled by the ticket dispensor when you walk in. Not once have I seen them use it. You just have to remember who the customers came before you and after you to make sure your place in line, similar to the days playing Street Fighter 2, where you would put your quarter on the arcade machine to stake your place in line. Sometimes you get that awkward situation when you stand up and another customer stands up thinking its their turn. When that happens, the barber usually figures it out. If you want a fade haircut and you don’t know where to go around the South Bay area, remember these four letters K A F E(Kuts And Fades Etc.).

This is the only place I go to get my fade now. I don’t know the old filipino guys name but he does a good job and takes his time to make your haircut perfect. I even went there a few minutes before closing time and he still took time to give me a perfect fade. He will make you look FRESH! The best thing about it is that they still have reasonable prices.

KAFE(Kuts and Fade Etc) Skate Shop isn’t just a skateboard shop, it’s a place to get your hair cut. I’ve been going for 11 years. If your looking for a quick and affordable haircut this is your place. Just don’t expect a salon quality haircut. It has that skateboard vibe when you walk in. Back in early 2000 this place was booming with skateboarders. Now it’s more of a barbershop. Don’t be surprise if you see WWE star Ray Mysterio get his hair cut.
