I am very impressed with this place the portions are big but not huge and the prices are more than fair. the complimentary chips and salsa are a nice touch and the salsa is authentic and delicious. very friendly service and quiet atmosphere… an awesome hole in the wall restaurant

Out of curiosity i stopped at this place because I was visiting from Santa Barbara to San Diego I saw a Mexican place were they sell Mexican food… me and my family of 5 wanted to go here but first I saw they had Unilocal I first looked in the review to see if there was any negative comments there wasn’t anyways long story short. We walked in there! yes we were greeted my mom wanted tamales I asked a lady that appeared to be maybe the owners wife if they had any tamales she stated«no» when she asked is this to go or for here Me and my mother both replied we are still looking at the menu… my 3 children were sitting on the table my mother and I were standing up looking at the menu about to have a seat then there was a group of 6 that walked in and the lady«FIONA» very rude said can u guys move I’m going to seat this group of 6 who just walked in «WTF«who does that !!! Anyways very disappointing & sad, you better watch out for this lady that needs class for customer service the owner then came out I told him what had happened he seemed confused that Fiona lady kept saying pancho pancho no Es sierto hope someone sees this before u go !!!

Came here from a recommendation of a local. We were not disappointed. Not your tex-mex Americanized Mexican chain restaurant. They are the real deal. Also friendly, quick, and delicious. Would come here again and again if we lived in San Diego.

Best carne asada burrito I have ever had in my life, and I eat at least one per week for the last 30 years. This was by far the best and at a decent price!

PHENOMENAL surf and turf burrito!!! just the right amount of heat and its loaded with carne asada and shrimp! chili relleno is top notch too. casandra, the cashier, is super friendly! good prices and variety. one down note: no free refills for dine-in and a 50 cent charge on all credit card transactions(???). this almost made me give the place 4 stars but the food was just too good!!!

Been eating here for 15 years. No clue as to why the food has gone downhill. Please fix it so we can come back.

Meh. I’ve experienced better. I ordered take-out. Chilaquiles were hard to chew like a cardboard consistency. I had to take ‘em back to the molars. Then the salsa tasted like straight tomato sauce. Overall they were lacking a chile flavor chilaquiles are known for. They did give me a lil cup of salsa but it seemed like a tease. And then they asked if I wanted eggs which I thought were already included as part of the order like all other places. well yes I wanted eggs and was charged extra .geez

The guy told me he can only give 3 hot sauces for a breakfast burrito so they’re kind of shiesty over here. Idk why ppl are so greedy about hot sauce. Oh and their guacamole really sucks, they need to learn a new recipe.

I heard this was a good place for chile rellenos so decided to try it. It wasn’t bad but definitely not the best. The chile rellenos from the farm fresh market on palm and saturn are way better… the sauce was mostly tomato flavored so not my thing… the chilaquiles were also tomato flavored and super salty. no chile flavor whatsoever.. I was disappointed. however the beans were good… I will probably return just to try the green chilaquiles, hopefully they will be better. The servers were really polite. While we were eating people were taking out food, I wish I would have asked what they were taking..

The food and service was awesome, the employees are friendly and know their food charts, the bathroom were dirty and smelled like straight up bleach, good food, but I would take my food to go,

I have been going tool this restaurant for more than 20 years. Excellent food and service! The salsa is delicious. On the weekend, the menudo is great. It’s not greasy. I ask for no pata. The owner is very friendly as well :)

The chilaquiles are great as well as the machaca that’s my favorite. They’ve been located here for years and the good still taste the same, always good.

I played golf with a guy I met on the course that lived in IB and he mentioned that this place has very good menudo. I met the owner Francisco who told me that he would rather be called Pancho since so many of his relatives are called Francisco lol. A very friendly and accommodating guy and a real character! He told me that today was the 25th anniversary of the restaurant! It is a very clean place and has a big following. I ordered the menudo to go. It was very rich and flavorful unlike a lot of other versions that are watered down. I would say that the broth is more flavorful than Jaliscos Café. Overall they are both very good. I will come back and try some other things at this friendly little place that has been going strong for over two decades.

I had gone for breakfast a while back and loved it… This time not so much. I ordered la micha a half order chilaquiles and half order machaca with potatoes and beans. I love the chilaquiles here they are crunchy goodness. If you don’t like crunchy chilaquiles then you won’t be a fan. The machaca I won’t order again it had that dried meat flavor and a lot of fat. The potatoes were quite lovely. Crispy goodness as well My sister kept going on about the chile rellenos… I was definitely not a fan. The cheese was funky. Yes funky cheese and the chiles were old. I think I chose a bad day to want good food from Dos Panchos. The waiter one of the Panchos he was a sweet man so excited about serving us and loved it even more when my sister praised the great food. We didn’t see him again though to let him know of our let down. I think he would have roughed them up in the kitchen he seemed like the type. I will go again because I love the chilaquiles super spicy and great. If you order them ask for extra sauce they could serve them on the dry side.
