I bought the Unilocal deal for this place. $ 25 for $ 40. It’s located inside a bar called The Pennant. We walked in, and were welcomed with the stench of either piss or sour cleaning water. I said piss, my girlfriend said cleaning water. Either way, it smelled like somebody was pissing on your face. We braved the storm and searched the place, upstairs and down. It’s a small hole in the wall in the back, next to the discarded kegs. Two men who look like they shouldn’t be trusted in a prison kitchen, welcome you with a friendly, «Yeah?» The gentleman at the register was not pleased with having to process a Unilocal code. But he did and we waited at the bar for our food. This was the bright spot. They have one of the best bartenders I’ve ever had in a neighborhood sports bar, Charlie I think was his name. Since we’d been there for a bit, we’d grown accustomed to the stench of urine and I was able to drink my coke. We got our food and left. I had a cheese steak with food poisoning. I promptly spent the rest of my night shaking with cold sweats and throwing up cheese steak and potato salad into a trash can whilst propped securely on the toilet. I was like a lawn sprinkler with a cracked head. Don’t go here.

Garlic fries probably had more cloves of garlic than potatoes and were disgusting. Mozzarella sticks and calamari were dece but promise marinara sauce and just lied. Pretty bad overall.

Bought a deal for this place. Couldn’t use it cause you can’t park! If you can get in here, find the place, eat then maybe you can actually write a review.

Located in the back of the Pennant Dive Bar, serving up some pretty grub, including breakfast starting at 8 a.m. on Saturdays and Sunday, which was the reason why I stopped in. The rest of the days they open at 11 a.m. I ordered a half order of biscuits and gravy, which came with a hash brown for $ 5 and I added a side of bacon for $ 2.95. The biscuits were good but they were not house made, as I watched the cook take them out of a plastic bag. They soft and moist, but lacked that nice homemade baked biscuits and denseness. The white gravy was creamy and velvety and had good flavor. The gravy had pieces of sausage in it, but they were chopped breakfast sausage links, that needed some flavor. Id they were to incorporate freshly prepared ground sausage and season it themselves, with some herbs and spices, this gravy would have that X-factor it needed. The hash brown was of the frozen variety and not very exciting. It needed seasoning and was a little on the oily side. I say grate some fresh potatoes and pan fry them. I liked the bacon which was not only plentiful, but had that good crispy and chewy texture and provided a very good savory flavor. I ate up stairs at the Pennant and not many people were there. You order at the concession counter and they bring your food to you.

I’ve ordered from here several times recently and this place is awesome! I’ve had almost all of the dinner menu items and every time it’s like having my grandma come over and cook for me lol. This place is such good home cooking! Don’t get me wrong I love a fancy meal over candle light but you can’t beat a good meal to remind you of your childhood and this place does that each and every time. If you’re tired of pizza and Thai food give this place a try you won’t regret it!

The Pennant has a great new food vendor called Karma Concessions. I’ve tried the grilled cheese(with tomato), garlic fries, tater tots, wings and everything has been delicious. Our orders have been served promptly, hot and with big portions. The prices are reasonable and we now look forward to eating at the Pennant! They also accept credit cards now! Try Karma Concessions, you won’t be disappointed.
