This place was amazing. Great for parties and get togethers. Amazing delicious food and the décor and landscape was beautiful!

Why don’t I come to this place more often? They remodeled the heck out of this place! It’s so gorgeous it reminds me of Baoli from Miami. The patio is perfect for a birthday party. I ordered the lobster Mac and cheese, it’s was amazing! The coconut rice is delicious! Only bad things were the desserts and the hookah(tasted burnt). This still makes this place 5 stars!!!

I love Lei Lounge for cocktails, but one thing bothers me about the bartenders. Last night, each time they made my drink they placed their hands on top of the rim of the glass when muddling the fruit. That’s one rule every bartender should know — you don’t touch the rim. I had to wipe the rim off each time. The drink was great, but they really should modify their fruit muddling process.

I really wanted to like Lei Lounge. Every time I’ve walked by, it looks like a better-than-your-average bar place, with the pitch darkness, silky mood lighting and thumping trending vibe late at night, and because it reminds me of Hawaii. But the surly bartender my Dining Companion and I had serve us really soured our experience from the get-go. My DC asked if we had made it in time for happy hour to get half priced cocktails, and she gave us attitude. We just wanted to ask. Slightly confusing, the outdoor sign said happy hour was ’til 7pm but the menus said 8pm; we walked in at 6:57pm on a Thursday. In the end the drinks were half off, well-balanced, and refreshing. We ordered two appetizers off the bar menu: the Thai chicken lettuce cups and the poke. I really liked the lettuce cups; the portion was hefty and it came with three sauces(peanut, soyaki, and Thai-style sweet/sour), crunchy rice noodles, thinly sliced cucumbers, crushed peanuts, pickled carrots, and white meat, served for you to assemble yourself. The poke underdelivered though, with its small portion size and the tortilla chips that accompanied it(didn’t the menu mention something better like plantain chips?). Each app was around $ 12/13, definitely overpriced for the poke. The«Lei Collins» was a terrific drink(vodka, lemon ginger juice, muddled strawberries, simple syrup, 7UP). I would definitely come back for a half priced drink but might stay away from the bar to hopefully get better service next time.

What a cute little place! Located in the University Heights neighborhood of San Diego, I stopped in with some family and friends for Sunday Brunch. They have a pretty diverse brunch menu offering eggs benedict and omelettes to french toast. I ordered the Crab Mac and Cheese and it was HEAVENLY. It was loaded up with cheese and brocollini and it was so delicious! I also had a bite of the crab omelette, crab benedict and french toast and every item was awesome. The highlight of brunch however was the drinks special. For $ 12.95, you can get bottomless Bloody Mary’s and/or Champagne Cocktails! I believe an individual cocktail can range from $ 5-$ 7, so if you can drink at least 2 cocktails during brunch, then you might as well get the bottomless option to try all of their tasty cocktails! Whenever I go back to visit my cousin, I will definitely ask to make a stop at Lei Lounge. If not for the bottomless cocktails, I will stop in for that Mac and Cheese. That thing is too good to pass up. Lei Lounge I shall be back!

I was on the fence between 2 and 3 stars. Let me give you the rundown. Pro: Nice atmosphere, especially out back Solid nachos and french fries Half-priced drinks at happy hour Con: Cheesesteak spring rolls were a little greasy for my taste Bathrooms were only barely clean, and more closely resembled the bathrooms at a high school than ones at a place so luxe Bartender charged the wrong credit card for one of our bills(someone not even in our group) and mixed up a lot of the charges. He kindly helped us resolve the issue, but it was still a bit of a clusterfuck. Music was crazy loud. Neutral: The TVs all had videos of airplanes. Not sure why. I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt, and maybe give it a shot for dinner sometime, but overall, meh.
