The spot is cool, bartenders pour good drinks, but, the dj sucked. Not even just«ok», no, sucked. If it weren’t for my friends, wouldn’t have stayed. Your group makes the party, but, the music doesn’t make for a soundtrack.

Went here for a friends private bday party. The VIP area in the back was pretty cool. Thank god we were separated by drapes because the crowd there was very peculiar to say the least. Bunch of odd balls dancing to terrible music. This place is super tiny and on weekends they charge a cover fee. The floors lite up in different colors when you walked which was cool for taking pics. It was small and not accommodating for as many guest as she had. We all got really bored fast but decided to finish our bottle of Hennessy and move on to the next venue. I so wished the dj would have played up to date music I think I would of had a better time.

Stopped by to hang out of with friends for another hour or so after Polite Provisions. Big mistake for leaving Polite Provisions. Walked over and was greeted by the bouncer telling us there’s a $ 5 cover… Really??? A place like this? So my six friends and I told him no-thanks and turned around. The bouncer called us back and said its pretty slow tonight anyways so he’ll hook us up. What a turn off? I can understand why certain places have cover charges but for this tiny place to have one is pretty lame. Music was good since it was mixed. Bartenders were attentive and the drinks were priced for the area. One thing I found funny was the DJ having his headphones around his neck and not once touching his laptop or controls for the whole time we were there.

This joint has amazing cocktails, great bartenders, awesome music, and a surprisingly cozy and old school ambiance: p I love hanging out for their drunken mermaids and mules x3 but all of their cocktails are honestly amazing.

The A/C Lounge has been around for a long time and doesn’t quite get the love that it use to. Adams Ave/30th St both have grown so much within the past few years that with the newer spots like Polite Provisions across the street, that it’s easy to pass up this place. But unlike Ould Sod, it doesn’t seem like it has the same loyal customers. I’m not going to lie, though… I like the place. During HH(5 till 9pm M-F, that’s right, till 9pm!) I can come in and get a tall premium vodka drink for $ 5. A «you call it» and they’ll do a pretty heavy pour. One Stoli blueberry and soda, and I’m feeling it already. Then there are nights that I’m in my utmost cas attire that I may want to stroll over with the buds and have a completely unpretentious night, which is much like my life these days. We get to enjoy some music and be able to dance our booties off without me having to put heels or have excessive makeup on. They have a DJ spinning and a small dance floor that’ll have you doing the humpty dance with your BFFs and feel, hey. it’s okay to be stupid and silly. who in here cares, right. However way you look at it, if you’re looking for a place to ditch those overcrowded drinking holes around Adams and 30th, I think this is a one pretty cool spot to go under the radar for a bit, and still have a pretty good time at.

I just popped in here for a drink and dance since I was already lit up before i got here. The DJ was good, the dance floor tiny but not too tiny. Can’t really say much other than that… if I get that urge to dance and I’m near NP… this is where I’ll be.

I love this place! It is my go to for birthday parties and the like. Always playing fun music to dance to, great location within walking distance to other fun places if you plan on moving around and one of the best deals on bottle service in town. The back room for bottle service has an awesome renovated area with lots of seating and a super fun light up floor that changes colors when you step on it. This always becomes more fun as the night progresses. The sunken living room is in the middle of everything and provides for some great people watching. Bartenders are always nice and the cocktails are always great.

From what I heard this place used to be a «hot spot». I went on a Saturday night and there was literally 15 people their. If your looking for a chill spot that’s not over crowded than this is your spot.

Went here to visit a DJ friend of mine spin on a Saturday Night. This is a nice spot to meet up with friends and drink if you’re in the South Park area. They usually pick good DJ’s to play 80−90s music. The drinks are decently priced. But I must warn you there is a $ 10 minimum. There aren’t many seats and tables available because this place is relatively small. I placed my drink down for 5 minutes at a side table only to be told by security it was reserved. This place is an okay place to start your night at South Park. But I don’t want to hype it up and say its the best. Definitely a dive feel, and is really an «AIRCONDITIONED» Lounge if you want to escape the San Diego Summer night heat. Recommended for: locals, Dive bar feel, late 20’s+ crowd, private parties(there is a sunken vip booth and party room available) that is the one plus I see.

Very small lounge. I like how it’s across from soda and swine so you can get a bite to eat after. They have chill relaxed music, definitely not clubbing attire. They have a tropical Moscow mule that is DELICIOUS. I recommend getting that and using the Unilocal check in offer as well. I also ordered their blueberry mojito because it sounded great and looks great.(they crush fresh blueberries in there) unfortunately it wasn’t sweet enough and tasted bland. The drinks are pricey as well. The bartender that everyone raves about is very nice. He is their only bartender. They have a photobooth inside by the stage so I tried taking photos. This bootleg photobooth doesn’t tell you how much to put in. So I asked the bartender and he said $ 5. After I fed the booth my money. The screen remained black. Thank goodness the bartender was nice and he gave me my money back.

I have been to AC Lounge a few times, on crazy busy sponsored nights and just for low-key happy hours with a few friends. Their drinks can be a bit pricey, but if you stick to well drinks and go during their happy hours you’re good. The different DJ’s/events throughout the week makes for a good time. Just be aware that many nights are like a slightly less crowded version of going to a club downtown. They do charge a cover. Bathroom situation is not ideal. I’ve always had a pretty great time here.

You wouldn’t think a standard Tuesday night can compete with the status of a Thursday night or Friday night but this place will make you think twice before disregarding it along with its close cousin the dreary Monday night. Yes. The AC lounge is the place to be on a Tuesday night because Tuesday night is trivia night! The fun is from 7 – 9 and there’s loads of drink specials during this time. All specialty drinks are only $ 6…it’s ridiculous because each one is handcrafted by their awesome bartender who makes a killer mojito… and any other alcoholic beverage you can think of. They also have an extensive list of mules(which are all the rage nowadays!) and everyone I’ve tried has been nothing less than excellent. Only downfall is that they’re not served in copper mugs… I love me some copper mugs but that’s okay it’s mostly for esthetics anyways So what I’m saying is that you can get all the hype of a speakeasy here without the price tag. And chances are, your drinks are going to be better :) Give it a try. You won’t regret it.

From my experience, the people at the AC Lounge are extremely friendly, the service is excellent, and the drinks are great. I even had the chance to DJ for one of the events hosted by the Southern California electronic dance music MeetUp group, and everyone loved it. If you’re looking for a place to go have a drink and enjoy some great music, then this one is for you. :)

BEWARE, they put cheap liquor in the high end liquor bottles and RIPYOUOFF!!! I ordered a Johnnie Walker Black label, and what I got was definitely NOT black label. It was super harsh and not smooth at all, and probably not even red label. I told the bartender that this drink tasted aweful, and I don’t think it was Black label, although I did see her pour it from the bottle. She tasted my drink and made a disgusted face and claimed«yes, thats black label». This staff is in on the lies. I bought 2 drinks, and there goes $ 20 down the drain. My friend and I just left our drinks on the counter and left, never to come back again.

Very nice and mellow ambience here. Come here to support some dis every now and then and whenever I come, I always have a good time. Its small and nice. A place to go to if you’re planning on have a good night out with your friends. On weekdays it can be a bit dead but who cares. If you got a good group of people. You can make a party happen anywhere! LOL Prices on drinks are ok. They have deals! so thats a plus. I always get the same bartender which is a guy with glasses and he is pretty cool I must say. Makes my drinks fast and fun to talk to.

Definitely a fan! I really want to come back when my group is more in the mood to party — this seems like it’s a really sweet spot. Ironically not air conditioned tho. We went out that night all of Adam’s Ave. blacked out(if any of you recall). It was our friend’s birthday and we were looking to bar hop up and down Adam’s Ave. But that street went down, so we had to change our bar hopping direction towards 30th& North Park. The Air Conditioned Lounge definitely has a sleezy, strip-cluby vibe to the outside of it — I think that’s the main reason our group has never wanted to venture inside. I’ve always wanted to check it out tho, so I took this opportunity to force everyone to see what AC’s all about. First off, the bouncer was chill. The door said«dress code strictly enforced» and the guys all tried to use this as an excuse for why we couldn’t go in. But the bouncer helped me out and told them they were all fine(they were in dark jeans, maybe one t-shirt, jacket and flannels). Inside was sweet. Kinda sleezy, 60’s/70’s lighting, they have some vintage James Bond ‘007 vibes going on the far side of the wall. There’s a sunken lounge area with a lit up floor. The middle/main area is like a small dance/standing floor. There was a DJ playing some great music that night! There’s also some secret/special event room tucked away in the corner… with a light up floor and according to the guys a stripper pole(cue sleeze…). But this place was tight! There was a check-in offer for 50% off a round of drinks. Their specialty cocktails have fun names, taste great, and they have a whole menu of great tasting mules — properly made in copper mugs! Double points. The music was great, I wanted to dance — but couldn’t get anyone out of their non-dancing funk :/Well, that’s not entirely true, the girls danced. But it wasn’t everyone, and no one really seemed like they wanted to stay. So I was bummed. It’s really close to my friends place tho, so I look forward to coming back soon and experiencing more of what AC Lounge has to offer

Very nice bar — the crowd hits the dance floor around 10:30 — 11:00 pm. The bartenders are definitely on top of their game — FAST service even when crowded. The specialty of the house are ‘Mule’ drinks — had the Georgia Mule(very tasty!) served in a copper tin cup(sweet presentation). We kept throwing curve balls at the bartenders, classic Manhattans, Ginger Snap, assorted Mules — everything was very good and friendly service. Definitely worth the stop!

This review is only for the New Years Masquerade Party. When looking for places to hang out for New Years we didn’t want to worry about catching a cab or waiting for a Lyft for hours, and we certainly didn’t want to break the bank. We finally came across the AC Lounge: score! It was an affordable price for everyone, it was close to home and we had a place for the drinkers and the dancers in our group! They offered a great variety of masks to choose from at the entrance, a ticket for moonshine and if you used your Unilocal app to check in then it was a 50% off a speciality cocktail Whoohooo !!! Drinks were good, good prices, music was good, it wasn’t overcrowded, bar tenders were attentive and right on task and I didn’t have to wait in a super long line to use the ladies room. We all had a great time! Happy New Year everyone!

AC Lounge SD: North Park 9pm Tuesday 1st October 2013 Four Stars The amazing May Star threw a party at the AC Lounge with $ 1 Van Gogh Vodka Drinks from 9pm to 10pm. I had 5 Vodka-Sodas each with a different garnish(Lime, Lemon, Cucumber, Strawberry and a Cherry). I tipped $ 2 for each and spent $ 15 for a great a little buzz. The music was mellow and not so loud that I could actually have a conversation. Overall a decent place to stop by and grab a quick drink.
