Like hanging out with your dog on rooftops? If so, I’ve got the perfect place for you. Level 9 is a hotel bar that is dog friendly. No need to worry about bringing your dog into Hotel Indigo as the hotel is also dog friendly. Level 9, located on the ninth floor, is frequented mostly by hotel guests. However, it’s a great place to grab a drink while overlooking the ballpark. I expect this place gets pretty busy when there is a game or concert, but during a regular evening there is plenty of space to relax. The food comes from the hotel, so expect it to show up like you’ve just ordered room service. Drinks are great, but a little pricy. Dogs are allowed on the couches, but should be leashed. There is also a little patch of grass for the dogs too.

great cookies! The view is amazing and Allie and Chris are the best! How much more can I say. I’m at a bar on the roof of a hotel. Even the chick from Minnesota was cool as sh*t. Despite scaring away the cute blonde with the one star boyfriend

The absolute perfect place to chill after check in, the front desk was eager to recommend this ninth floor rooftop lounge when we checked in. After getting settled in our room we immediately made our way down a few floors to this very intimate chill lounge. We found a few open seats at the bar and it was only a few moments before we were enjoying two very well made cocktails. After ordering a second round of drinks we decided to order a few appetizers since we checked in early evening and hadn’t stop for dinner. The food came out fairly quickly, we both thought the food was above average for bar food, it was of good quality, prepared and presented very nicely. Being the bar wasn’t very busy we enjoyed interacting with the two bartenders, that coupled with the drinks, appetizers and staff made the over-all experience a very positive one. This is another one of the many great amenities at Indigo.

This is a pretty cool looking rooftop bar. The stadium is partly visible through the buildings, and at night when the stadium lights are on, the glow is pretty cool. On game days, there are drink specials. Mostly some type of flavored vodka and a couple of other ingredients, but they were cheap and not terrible. Surprisingly, the bar is dog friendly, which I love even though our pup was a couple thousand miles away.

A rooftop bar that’s pet-friendly, what’s not to like? Well for me, having multiple TV’s with loud sports and commercials is a serious turn-off and destroys the ambience of what might be a pleasant and unique place. Actually went there to enjoy the unique lunar eclipse this evening. What is it with the ubiquity of sports bars and their wanna be brethren in this town? Didn’t have any food so can’t comment. The over-worked bartender(it WAS a Sunday evening) made a weak gin & tonic. Doubt I’ll return.

I love the ambience of this place, grab a cocktail and sit by the fire pit and enjoy the view. Perfect for a cozy date night!

Love to the rooftop bar on game nights. The food is great and the homemade cocktails were a fun addition. It was low-key and the fireplaces were a great touch. I love that it’s open to the public and I will definitely be back when I return!

A dog friendly patio on a beautiful rooftop overlooking Petco Park? Awesome. Heat lamps, gas fire pits– this place is gorgeous. It’s hard to believe this hotel is dog friendly because it’s so beautiful. We had a great time– minus the fact that the drinks are pretty overpriced. We went once during our stay in San Diego and didn’t return because of the high prices.

The location is fantastic. My first time here, my friends had a brown paper bag with what we’re essentially leftovers from another restaurant and they were kicked out of Level 9 by a smug floor«manager» for having outside food. No one was going to eat it! It was just in a bag! It was ridiculous. Shame!

Rooftop bar with a beautiful view, short walk from Petco Park, & dog friendly! This bar is located at Hotel Indigo, which is known for being a dog friendly hotel. Great place to pregame! They have gameday drink specials & a nice view of Petco Park. We ordered garlic fries, calamari, & chipotle chicken wings. The food was pretty good. Their cocktails are a little on the sweet side. Friendly customer service! Our waiter forgot I asked for sauce for our fries, but as soon as he remembered he apologized & took 15% off our bill. Thank you! They have a small grass area for dogs. My pup enjoyed her time here & made a few friends. Make sure you check in to get 20% off your order!

We went to opening day at Petco Park for the Padres game. We decided to stop over at Level 9, atop Hotel Indigo, for some drinks afterward. I’ve heard awesome things about this place and wanted to check it out. The bar overlooks Petco Park and has a stunning view of downtown. Sunsets up there must be amazing. We happened to be there on the one night a month they have an off leash dog party. It was pretty cool to have all the dogs be able to roam around and they even had specials for the dogs. Definitely take your dog there for a unique experience downtown. The bartenders were great as well. Jen and Stacia were friendly, knowledgable, and provided excellent conversation. It’s a small setting, so it was great to have such an intimate rapport with the bartenders. They were doing some Padres Specials that night too and Jen twisted our arms and we ended up getting the baseball punch bowl cocktail. It was huge! And very tasty. I enjoyed the recommendation. If you get a chance to head down that way definitely stop in and see Jen and Stacia and have a few cocktails, take in a sunset, and try some of the food. You won’t be disappointed!

Pet friendly rooftop bar overlooking Petco Park. The view is great, and the beer and liquor selection is good. Place fills up fast. Just make sure that your bill is added up correctly. Went there two nights in a row, and both nights I was over charged.

A pet friendly rooftop bar located on the 9th floor of Hotel Indigo. This is my dogs favorite bar in SD and has a grassy area for him in the back corner of the bar. He enjoys coming up here partying until 1 a.m. and making new human and doggy friends. They also do a monthly puppy party for the neighborhood dogs. This is a nice place to come relax, sip on some drinks and have a great view of Petco Park. There’s plenty of sofas with fire pits to relax and several TV’s around the bar as well. This place never gets overly crowded too so it’s a nice change from the other Gaslamp bars. They make a great Bloody Mary too. The service at the bar and hotel is outstanding. They do close a little early at 1 a.m. on the weekends.

Rooftop bar is not actually in the top floor but it died have a nice view of Petci Park. They have a nice selection of beers and some home brewed spirits. In addition to a bar they have tables and couches with space heaters and fire pits. Pretty good ambience. Overall, 4 out of 5 stars,

This is my favorite rooftop bar mainly bc of the ease and crowd. You have good city views plus plenty of seating. The rooftop is small but has tvs, firepits and fun infused liquors. This is not a «clubby» bar, more for relaxing and having conversation.

We had some old fashioned drinks here and they were absolutely perfect! We also ordered some wings and hamburger that were pretty good. The view was awesome, the ambiance was chill, and the nice heaters and flame keep you warm on cool nights. I will definitely be here again if I’m ever in SD.

The perk of rooftop bars are the views. Unfortunately, this bar isn’t has high up as some of the other ones. We had a nice view of Petco Park and surrounding buildings, but it doesn’t offer the best view. Otherwise, it is really nice. There’s plenty of seating at the bar, or on couches, and there’s heaters everywhere so it doesn’t get too cold. The bartender the night I went was really friendly. I had one of their house cocktails, and it was really good. I had a pretty good time here, and would probably come again if I stayed at Hotel Indigo.

Well – the view is not as great as the other rooftop bars San Diego has to offer, only 9 stories up so not the place to go if the view is what you are after. There are aome firepits and heaters by the couches which was pretty nice to sit back, relax and have a drink. There are also some seats overlooking the view and within the bar. The drinks are around $ 10-$ 14(but tasty and they don’t skimp on the alcohol) Parking is a pain. All in all, I had a decent time, but I will stick to The Sky Altitude lounge for a rooftop bar in SD

This is a nice little gem in the East Village. It’s close enough to the Gaslamp for you to walk to/from, and still near bars and restaurants around Market St. All you have to do is get into the Hotel Indigo elevator and press«9.» I like Level 9 because it’s one of the more low key rooftop bars in SD, as least during the times I’ve gone. I’ve come here both with family and friends who all agree that the view of the ballpark is amazing. The pups like it here too, obviously, with the makeshift turf plot around the corner. The drinks are okay and the bartenders are nice. Fireside seating, bar tops, or lounge area near the entrance, take your pick and bring your glass!

Came here with a group of friends. Such a great ambiance! They allow dogs, how awesome is that! The fire pits are cool and the view is amazing with Petco park in view. You can see the great Tony Gwynn statute in view. :)
