Some products are good but the employees are not helpful. Also if there is a promotion going on, forget about it. they never offer it to you. At this store they could offer you some«loose» samples.

I came into L’Occitane with a gift card to spend, and having never been inside a L’Occitane before, I asked a sales associate for a recommendation. I was breaking out at the time and was interested in a moisturizer that wouldn’t make me break out, and honestly, I probably would have bought anything she recommended right then and there. Instead, though, she said she felt uncomfortable suggesting a product without my testing it first, so she gave me some samples of different products, and told me to try them out and return when I’ve found something I like. I thought it was very professional and very smart — nothing like securing loyalty instead of trying to make a quick sale! I found something I like and want to return to the UTC location to make the purchase. I was even at Fashion Valley the other day & skipped over so I could pay my business to her store! Wish I’d gotten her name. Thanks L’Occitane!

Very pricey. Came here with my mom to get a get for her coworker. $ 50.00 for 6 small lotions. We were greeted by a very friendly asian girl who was helpful in helping us pick out a gift. The cashier def wasn’t as friendly and didn’t offer us the free gift. Come back again? Probably not since its so pricey but I guess it is made in france.

This place is going to make me BROKE! I’m a big fan of everything in this store. I’ve tried the shampoo and conditioner(my favs), the bar soap, the hand cream, and the rose perfume. Their products are fresh and not overwhelming in scent which I(and my male friends) love — the worst is walking past someone and getting your nose hairs singed because they doused themselves in too much(usually cheap and gross) perfume! Can’t wait until pay day… I’ll be back!

Karla is awesome! I was already familiar with some of the products, but Karla explained some that I have not tried before. She could tell me the ingredients and benefits without me asking and not feeling pressured. She displayed a great personality without making me feel pressured. Thumbs up!

If their products weren’t so addicting I would eliminate a star for the amount of $$ I have to drop every time I go in this store! Their hand creams are super moisturizing. The citrus verbana shampoo and conditioner is awesome. Their make-up line is very light and natural feeling. Darn you L’Occitane. I hate that I love you.

It was friends and family recently and I jumped at the opportunity to stock up on staples for myself and stocking stuffers for my GFs! They have a body oil that is honey/citrus scented which I really like; it’s available in a 100mL bottle which is too large for travel but is a great gift for someone who likes massages and/or likes to put a little bit of oil into their baths now that the weather is cold(that means dry, dry skin). The scent isn’t very girly so it’s good as gifts to my GFs with hubbies or boyfriends. For myself I got the lavender bubble bath. Only two caps is necessary to really fill the entire oversized tub with suds. The scent doesn’t get diluted either… the relaxing scent stays the entire time… even as I get all«pruney» in the tub…

My girlfriend and I came in here to look for some baby balm as a gift to a new mother — you know, that stuff to put on your tummy to prevent stretch marks during pregnancy. I was surprised to find that all their products use natural ingredients, so it’s all baby-safe, but they also have a line specifically for mothers and baby. My girlfriend also picked up a few items, and I got talked into buying some aftershave. The girl that was working was extraordinarily nice, so I can say without question that service was wonderful. We all came away happy with what we got.

This place makes my trip to the mall bearable. I preface by stating that I hate perfume and cologne, especially the ones people can usually buy at malls(Victoria Secret, yuck; Bath and Body Works, yuck; people’s smells in Abercrombie, vomit). But when I walk into L’Occitane my whole world relaxes and breaths in the wonderful, balanced scents of my new favorite store. Specifically, this place carries the minty body wash that one of my best friends turned me on to — it costs most $ 3 per fluid ounce, but in my world it’s worth it.

I drive 20 – 25 minutes JUST to go to this L’Occitane store. The girls, Amy especially(manager), are so sweet and helpful. They’re very knowledgeable in each of the lines. I’m always asking tons of questions comparing one to the other. I always learn so much when I go here. I use the Immortelle line. My favorites are the Brightening Cleansing Foam and Immortelle Essential Water especially. The foam is like silk going on. It’s wonderful! The Essential water takes off any make-up the soap may have missed and leaves my skin feeling really nourished. The prices are very comparable.

Moisturize, moisturize, moisturize! You know why most dermatologists make loads of money? Other than flaring acne issues with teens, and treating cancerous growths in the skin, many skin issues arise from not moisturizing enough. Got ezcema, dermatitis, rashes, itchiness, nasty pus exuding from your pores? Slap on some lotion and creams on your body twice-daily to prevent it from happening. It will do wonders, and your skin will be so supple it will be as necessary as brushing your teeth! All this can easily be accomplished with drug-store brands such as Nivea crème and Acquaphor for spot treatments. However, the problem is these are both non-scented. And sometimes, I want to smell nice without my scent being so owerpowering that I cause myself and others to sneeze every few seconds.*coughBathandBodyWorkscough* The products at L’Occitane smell fragrantly delightful without irritating my sensitive nose. I love their honey&lemon, rose, and cherry blossom lines. It doesn’t smell cheap or tacky, it smells very fragrant much like parfum. They are fabulous! Their handcreams also work wonders for chapped dry hands. The customer service here at the La Jolla store is impeccable. They’re really nice, helpful, and give wonderful suggestions. This is also a wonderful place to get gifts for others. they wrap it really nice and put it in a cute decorated box.

I was tired of finding moth holes in my clothes, and didn’t want to prolong the«Chinese people smell like mothballs» stereotype, so I marched my butt down to L’Occitane for some lavender sachets. I was greeted by the nice lady at the counter upon entering the store. Me: Hi, do you guys sell lavender sat chets? Saleslady: Yes, we do have lavender sashays(+1 star for correction without humiliation) Me: Great. I’ll take one. S: Hmm looks like we don’t have any individual ones for sale. *breaks open a gift pack in order to get me a sachet* Me: Wow, thanks. Great service. Moth free. Happy. I haven’t tried their other products because I don’t like smelling like herbs. I hear their shea butter hand cream is awesome.

the stuff here is of a good quality, but i’m not crazy about a single scent they carry. i especially dislike the lavender. it’s so strong and reminds me of my grandma’s underwear drawer.

It is a French-based skin care line and the shop in UTC has a warm atmosphere and friendly staff. The line tries to capture the South of France in its beauty products and indulging in variaous lotions, oils, and gels from L’Occitane en Provence would be a relaxing experience, but I’m not crazy about the line. The ingredients are natural — the products are made from olive oil, honey, and chamomile, but I thought the bath gel and perfume had an unappealing sent. The shop is elegant and the costumers tend to be mature(the kiddies stick to their bath and body works.) So if L’Occitane isn’t your thing, the shop is a great place to get a gift for mom or grandma.
