I went to this location with my wife and daughter and met a lady named Stephanie and gave us a 5 out of 5 service really worth the time and will definetly be back to buy gifts for my wife and mother

Despite the stigma that goes behind the art of makeup and the artists behind it, not all of us want cake on our face. By that I mean, pancake makeup so thick that you could scrape it off with your fingernail or lay it on with a spackle knife. Not a fan. The only time I apply that style of makeup on anyone is typically for theatre, editorial work, photo shoots, weddings or if they are going for an extreme baby hooker look. Personally, I am not a fan of thick, heavy base so I went on the hunt for the perfect, light and natural looking liquid foundation. Enter Bare Escentuals.
The store itself is well stocked, clean and has a boutique feel. They offer a range of different types of makeup: loose mineral foundation, pressed mineral powder, blush, hydrating glosses and balms and a number of other wonderful products and serums.
Sunny, the manager at this location is an absolute pro at what she does. I have known her for many years and she has an enviable resume working on celebrity clientele; just amazing. She recommended their BareSkin Pure Brightening Serum Foundation to give me that non-​makeup but still flawless look I was going for. Fabulous! 2 drops usually does the trick for me and it doesn’t magnify any flaws or texture on my skin. I ended up liking it so much that I recommended the product to several of my friends and they were so impressed by Sunny’s knowledge and professionalism on their visit.
This has become my holy grail of foundation and also the only location I shop at. I always feel like a kid in a candy store here, especially when they add in sweet little surprises like the day they had a free lipgloss promotion on Valentine’s Day. Stop by, get a sample and tell Sunny that Emily sent ya! In love.

Paradise for any woman who likes cosmetics. The colors of natural ‘dustified’ for your eyes and face. Hundreds of colors naturally sourced for delicate skins like mine. Nothing not to love in this beauty store! The location in UTC is good, customer service is perfect and not pushy, very attentive and you can get demos and free makeup session if you would like to test some products. The store itself is cute, clean and spacious enough not to fight with other customers. Not the cheapest cosmetics out there, but if you care about natural and vibrant colors, then you can invest in some good quality stuff, or remember to buy something for that special girlfriend, she will love to have some nice from here in her birthday for sure.

I won the «Girl Friend Party» drawing at the UTC store. I had three of my friends come with me and we had a great night out. Kirsten did a mini facial on us and applied the new fall colors. We took an after photo and all loved the looks she gave and taught us to apply.
The associates there give awesome customer service all around every time I go in. They even call me about new promotions and just last weekend my best friend and I made an appointment to get another mini facial and the new spring colors applied.
They always have great promotions and are all so awesome! Thank you team UTC!

I have been a devoted Bare Escentuals customer since 2007. My skin is really sensitive and I happen to love colorful eyeshadows, so voila — a perfect union!
So, here’s why I gave them ⁵⁄₅ stars:
Product: ⁵⁄₅
The Bare Escentuals/​Bare Minerals line has exceptional quality. The eye shadows come in a wide variety of vibrant colors. The loose shadows have incredible staying power and blendability (not a word, thank you for your input autocorrect!). They’ve also expanded to solid shadows (which have a slightly different texture, and are a little harder to blend, but are exceptional nonetheless) and shadows with different finishes such as matte, iridescent and glittery (sparkly?). If you’re looking for a great matte finish shadow to complete an everyday work look or something akin to Halloween makeup you’ll find it and the quality will be worth the price!
I also adore their skin products (again, sensitive!!!) and have strictly used their moisturizers, cleansers, makeup removers, and anti-​wrinkle creams since 2007. Since then, I have returned only 1 or 2 items because I just wasn’t satisfied, and to be honest, I can’t even remember the exact reasons why.

Yes, you read that correctly — ¹⁰⁄₅ stars. I have met so many incredibly talented and sweet reps here through the years that it’s unbelievable! Most recently, I’ve made the acquaintance of BEKAH, CHELSIE and PALOMA. These ladies are awesome! They’re talented artists in their own right and they appease my every eye shadow whim. I can try on anything I want and they do an amazing job whether it’s a touch up, seasonal, purples and greens, makeup for a night on the town or even Halloween makeup. (I go here a lot, can you tell? What can I say, I love makeup — it’s a hobby!) These three make the store feel welcoming and their personalities lend a lightness and freshness to the atmosphere. You can tell they enjoy what they do and they enjoy working together. They’re all so good to me, that I decided it’s the season for giving and I needed to write an amazing review for them as they deserve it so much! I can come into the store on my most tired days after work and school and they make me feel pretty and refreshed with new coats of paint, haha! :-)
Additionally, they won’t up-​sell you to products you don’t like or won’t work for you. I’ve never felt pushed or guilty about not buying something that I’ve tried.
Rewards: ⁴⁄₅
I only take off one star because I really liked their old rewards program. You used to be able to spend $ 120 and get a coupon for $ 10 off and be able to save those cards and use them together in one purchase (SO amazing, no wonder they stopped it). Now they have the Friends And Benefits (FAB) card which accumulates points to an eventual $ 10 off (can’t be used in combination with other offers, but you can use it with gift cards), a date of your choosing when you get 15% off your purchase online or in store, and freebies at different times. A little different, but just as good — I’m just stuck in the old school way. So, what I’m saying is, join up!

They’re happily situated away from the areas with all the crazy hustle and bustle, Starbucks is around the corner and so is the pretty fountain at the middle of the mall. Tesla is literally right next door, which I think is just super cool, but anyway I digress.
I’ve been to other Bare Escentuals stores (North County, Fashion Valley, etc.) and for me, they just don’t compare! Go see Bekah, Chelsie or Paloma and they’ll find exactly what you need and make sure you look beautiful! And tell them I sent you! :-)

I went in last Sunday because I had a coupon for a free eye shadow from Bare Minerals and I had the best experience ever. I walked in and was instantly greeted by Vivian. She was extremely friendly and personable the whole time. I never ever wear make up and decided to start that day. She guided me through all my options and even did my make up for me. She must have spent close to an hour doing it and explaining every step. She was very thorough and gave me lots of helpful tips. She kept checking in with me as she was going along which I really appreciated. I also didn’t feel pressured to buy stuff I didn’t need which is rare to find when you go into these kind of places. My make up turned out great, it wasn’t overdone, it was just natural looking. I will definitely be going back here for all my future makeup needs! Vivian is the best!!!

I had some time to kill, and stopped in at the recommendation of my g/​f who mentioned that her sis-​in-​law uses the BE products and LOVES it…
I didn’t know what to expect and just wanted to get more info on the product and to see whether there is a perfect shade for me. I currently use Lancome, and sadly, my line has been discontinued so I’m looking to switch products.
Rhonda is AMAZING!!! I only had 20 mins to spare and she provided me with a consult and mini-​makeover. She took the time to color match me and explain the products as she was doing me up.
I wish I had more time to spare so I could have gotten a more detailed consult, but I’m glad I was able to find out my shade and gain more knowledge of the product. Will def consider BE for my next line.

I’ve been feeling the need to take all my make-​up, which sits in a large wide drawer and tip it upside down into the garbage. Slowly I’ve gifted my barely touched eye shadows to people they suit. I have green eyes, so shouldn’t wear green eye shadooooooooow, nope.
Anyhoositz pants, I’ve so many times bought foundation or various creams, powders and various accoutrement in the many years of being a make-​up wearing female that were completely wrong for me. Too dark, too light, too oily, too flaky, to gross-​a-​nina it just gave me a RASH!
First of all I’m not a heavy makeup person, I don’t want to hide under make-​up. It is not a mask to wear, it’s your face. I do want to blend though, so I should cover those dark circles and I do not want to break out into a ka-​jillion tiny bumps due to insane heinous allergies to Quarternium-​15 (a formaldehyde releasing preservative) and Fragrance. Yes, I’m not allergic to everything, just something that’s *IN* everything, sigh.
Therefore frustration abounds when it comes to make-​up since most stuff has these 2 ingredients or brothers and sisters masking themselves as other names (synonyms to hide themselves like «DMDM» or long assed other names).
The other night I found myself trying to kill almost 3 hours before a movie with my good friend Michael.
Then walking by this store I remembered my friend Melissa’s face (extremely CUTE), and that she used to work here and decided to try out some foundation.
Michael sat keenly watching as she did half my face (Michael is naturally keen), the makeup lady was matching my skin, then showed me how to apply it on the other half. It’s nice because you can choose the coverage you want by how you apply it too. I’m not the type to cover up my freckles because I like them but some people hate their freckles and they could if they wanted to for example.
Holy hell, I’m converted. It’s been at least 2 weeks since I bought it and used it, it looks natural, takes no time to apply, and no allergies to any of it.
Get thee to the counter and right quick if you know what’s good for you. My kit was $ 60 including my brushes and I’m happy as a clam because it’s given me freedom from «the drawer» (makeup laden with badness) and I’m not allergic to it.

I went with my friend Jackie and had our makeup done by Nayla. We both really enjoyed Nayla’s French accent and pretty smile and how she picked out the perfect shades for us and meticulously wrote everything down in a brochure so that we could refer to it when we were ready to buy. I love that the makeup doesn’t feel «goopy» on my face… Nayla also suggested two other items that I really love… a powder soap; the soap is very light and good for my skin and I love traveling with it as it is not liquid and it is less harsh on my skin than hotel soaps… the second item that Nayla suggested for me is a powder night moisturizer… I haven’t been using moisturizer due to not being able to find one compatible with my skin… now I can moisturize and look like I’m in my 20’s when I’m 70… Hehe, don’t worry, I won’t be one of those old ladies who dresses like she’s a teenager and goes around horrifying everyone around… okay, back to the review…
Nayla even showed me a duo-​kit for these same two products that I could buy that are smaller versions of the regular sized items… perfect for travel! Must be that lots of other people like these two items a lot too for them to package it this way together!
It was good for Jackie and I to get away from the office and catch up… Nayla was very sweet and so honest when we asked her opinion and she said that makeup cannot subsitute for good nights’ sleep… those Frenchies… no wonder they have such natural beauty!
I’m pretty much hooked… I’ll probably be back to get the special eye-​shadow sampler (9/box)…and I will for sure be attending their special ‘holiday preview’ event on the 20NOV where they will have special gifts with purchase… YAY! Happy getting pretty for the holidays…
