Luigi’s New York Giant Pizza

First time here called in the order for half pepperoni half sausage thin crust. One of the worst Pizza I ever had in my life so full of grease almost had a heart attack looking at worst Pizza in the college area.

Well I guess these guys are doing their best to run this pizza place into the ground. Danny, the owner or manager dosn’t seem to care about retaining customers or employees. the girl that used to work here and was good at taking phone orders and gave good service, was replaced by an underage kid that can barely answer the phone and take an order at the same time. last time I ordered from here, when I went to pick up my pizzas, the Danny guy said sorry we have to close, my employee hurt him self on the dough machine. This time he says it will be ready for pickup in 20 min, get there, not ready. I sit there for another 20 min, still not ready. Danny the manager says what do want a refund? either that or wait. I’m not going to give these guys any more business, plenty of other pizza places around that won’t treat you like crap and arn’t completely out of there element trying to keep up with business.

I’ll give them 5 stars! Roomies and I had coupons for this place and Unilocaled it before deciding to order from here. 3.5 stars is not bad, but did read mixed reviews but we chose to go for it and boy are we glad we did! We ended up getting 2 larges, one with pepperoni and bacon, and the other had ham and pineapple. The crust on both of these was really good! I don’t normally care for pizza crust in general and usually skip it, but theirs had it seemed like parmesan cheese and perhaps some garlic buttery deal brushed on it at some point during the process, not sure… but it was great. I will admit the pizza was pretty greasy… but we were all treating ourselves this Humpday, so neither of us feel guilty!
Anyway, Bacon and Pepperoni were perfectly cooked with that slight crispy-​bite to them, and I don’t care too much for the hawaiian pizza, but i did actually enjoy this when I tried it!
The gentleman who took the order on the phone was super pleasant and helpful and it was such an easy process.
2 Large and delicious pizzas for less than $ 20! Great deal! Much better than many of the big-​name chains! Will be back!

The first pizza we ordered was a little well done. Hey, we’re all human. We were jonsing for a white pizza on Easter and theirs was decent the first time, so we called to see if they were open. They were, and the 50 minutes it took was well worth the 18inch pie that that made it to our home. The portions were perfect, evenly coated with the different cheeses. Everyone knows the crust is not the best part of the pizza, that’s why I usually eat it first. Weird, I know, but when I bit into that fluffy, buttery, garlic and Parmesan coated creation of perfection I forsake my old ways. Whoever was working around 4 o’ clock on Easter Sunday is an artisan, a true master of making pizza, and I hope to experience their work of pizza art again.

The best New York style pizza in San Diego. They use fresh ingredients that you can taste. The hot wings are one of the best I ever tasted. No need for the ranch dressing.

Had a delivery driver come back to my house with a cheesecake they forgot to give me. I really appreciated that.
Would much rather give my money to a place like this, than a giant chain like pizza hut or papa johns.

Been coming here for a couple of years an. The pizza never disappoints, they have a couple of cooks there and it does not matter who makes my pizza because it is always fresh and hot. I used to go and pick up my pizza because I thought delivery would not be as fresh but I tried it once and found it was just as fresh and hit as picking it up.

Great prices, Huge pizzas, great taste. it’s a small personable shop. They are very friendly and do pretty much whatever you ask. I didn’t give them 5 stars because the white sauce was waayyyyy to garlicky and salty. The red sauce is just fine.

Great specials and the Unilocal Deal was well worth it! Got a ton of food for $ 20!

Ordered skeptically off Eat24 (I’ve had negative experiences with delivery before). We got 2 large pizzas 2 toppings each, an Italian sub, and a slice of cheescake. I have to say I was thoroughly impressed and will definitely be ordering again. Total was $ 36 or so I believe and well worth it. They do show a eta time on the app and as the 20 min past estimated time rolled around I began to get nervous and then viola the doorbell rings. I have no problem waiting a few extra minutes for hot food delivered to my door with exact specifications met. Well done.

This was my second time ordering from Luigi’s. The first was last month when we ordered two giant 28″ pizzas for my sons sixth birthday party. The pizzas arrived fresh and on time and were delicious. Everyone loved them!
Tonight I ordered the feast for 5 with a pepperoni pizza, baked rigatoni and large Greek salad. I called in my order on the drive over. The staff was friendly and the food was done fast. It was also very flavorful; even the pasta, which I didn’t have high hopes for. My kids loved the pizza once again. We will be return customers for sure!

Yes this place is still awesome. The girl that delivers my Pizza all the time is very polite and sociable. She always has patience and she’s also the same person who takes your order over the phone.
The pizza is pretty good. The wings are really what I come here for. I agree that, they could have more choices for sauces but, the ones they have are good.

You should seriously call some of the English language schools downtown. They usually use pizza Service upon graduation!

I received a coupon for Luigi’s in the mail, so I thought I check them out rather than my usual pizza haunts.
They’re located in a strip mall with limited parking. The interior looked a little run down and smelled a little stale. I’d guess the tables could have benefited from being wiped down and the floor mopped. I didn’t see a bathroom (but there must have been one?), nor did they have any napkins available. Good thing I came in with the intent of getting my pizza to-​go.
The staff seemed interested in helping walk-​in and phone customers, but lacked the professionalism to do so adequately.
The pizza itself was okay. The toppings and crust were satisfactory, but the sauce was different. It had a zing or a pep to it. Almost as if it was spoiled/​sour, but I hope that wasn’t the case.
Good thing I can now check this place off of my list of places to try.

First time here and it was so good! It has been on food network so I knew this place would be good. The pizza has great flavor, not too greasy and the crust is thin and flavorful. They only take cash so make sure you bring that. Also they have a good selection of beers.

Had a medium cheese pizza & large caesar salad delivered tonight & it was horrible. The pizza looked old and tasted like rubber. The cheese fell off in a clump and there wasn’t any sauce beneath it. YUCK. The caesar salad was gross too. The excess amount of mozzarella cheese overpowered the lettuce & croutons.
Waste of money & calories.
