Shelly was awesome! Super friendly and sweet. She had calming music playing and chatted with me the whole time. I got offered water before and after the facial and wasn’t cut short on time like other places. I did buy the Unilocal deal, but will definitely come back for the regular price! I’ve already recommended her to my friend since my face still appeared normal even after the extractions lol.

I am loving Shelly and my skin again. I purchased a Bloomspot for a diamond microdermabrasion session with Shelly. When I used it I was so impressed with her, the space (attractiveness, cleanliness and quietness), and her knowledge, I booked a facial for the following month.
I just had my facial on Thursday, she had recommended the Lux Ultrasonic, it was wonderful. I saw a reduction in poor size the same day, and it seems like my skin has gotten even better (softer, better tone) over the last three days. I already booked my next facial. When I left her studio my skin felt light and awake. I am so grateful to have found her!

I purchased a Groupon for Lux Esthetics about a year ago and have been hooked ever since. I see Shelly once a month and leave there feeling as if I’ve just spent an hour and a half in heaven.
When I first started going to Shelly, I was experiencing the typical skin problems that haunt nearly every woman in her early 30s. After the first few months my skin was back to normal and I owe it all to this lovely lady. She customizes your treatment with every visit so I KNOW I’m getting the best treatment for me each time.
Shelly uses excellent products and is very generous with her materials. She’ll give you samples to try and only introduces you to products that will truly benefit your skin.
This month was my birthday month and Shelly made it a super special facial (extra long and lovely) just because it was my birthday!
I wouldn’t go anywhere else! I had a regular Esthetician before Shelly and then she moved… let me tell you… I had no idea that facials were supposed to be this good.

I have been going to Shelly for around 6 years now. She is great. She does my brows every 3 weeks and they always look great. Every 3 to 4 months I get a facial. I have very sensitive skin and I also have psoriasis. She has always been very careful with what she uses. Also as a a person with sensitive skin, I ask her what she plans on using on my skin before EVERY facial.
Shelly has very positive energy that makes the experience even better. She also listens to me during the treatment if something feels uncomfortable, ie too much steam. During the facials you barely hear her move around the room. To top it off she gives a great foot/​leg massage and also a neck/​shoulder rub during the facial.
A must try if you want someone to do your brows regularly or the occasional facial.

I informed Shelly at the end of our last session that I had run out of moisturizer and could she recommend something I could apply liberally to my face (I am cursed with dry skin). I had been wearing Karin Herzog’s moisturizer for the past two months but thought it would be safe to experiment with something different. Shelly sent me home with a small container of iLike Organics stonecrop moisturizer. I favored it almost immediately because of its all natural and organic ingredients and light fragrance.
Unfortunately, my face reacted adversely to the stonecrop moisturizer resulting in a mild breakout. I e-​mailed Shelly with this unfortunate news. I asked Shelly if I could swing by the store and purchase a bottle of Karin Herzog’s moisturizer. Shelly responded to my e-​mail with the following:
«I’m going to put a Karin Herzog moisturizer outside the front door for you and you can come and pick it up any time today. No charge, I’ll just change it out for the stonecrop (you can just bring the stonecrop to your next appt). I’m so sorry about this!»
Have I mentioned how much I love Shelly? I seriously do. She’s the greatest.

Shelly did a great job and was very informative.
Usually, after a facial, I break out. NOT with Shelly! She uses great products that smell so good. My skin felt refreshed and glowy after my treatment.
The massaging is the best. And you even get an amazing foot massage.
Lux is in an über-​cute space in Little Italy. Very homey feel to it. I loved every minute of this facial.
