Absolutely DELICIOUS!!! I ordered my food through EAT24 and was so happy to try something new. I had a lot of picky people to please, tomatoes, no tomatoes, you know how kids can be… Well I was the worst! I wanted the cob salad but LOVED the idea of strawberries, kiwis and candied pecans… It was amazing. My sons loved their burgers and quesadilla’s, so with nothing but thumbs up, it’s KUDOSTOMAGGIE’s CAFE!!!

Best burger I’ve ever had anywhere in San Diego, period! No contest!!! This place is absolutely fabulous. Try it. You cannot go wrong. I had the Blue Cheese Burger, and my friend had the Bourbon Burger — which it turns out is not actually on the menu, you have to ask for it, but do it! Both were fantastic. Portions were great; plenty big, but not overwhelming. Service was wonderful and very friendly. In fact everyone was great. Calm, cool, and Californian — that’s Maggie’s! Also, the menu was huge, so they’ll be lots of other things to try when come back, again and again and again! You will too!

We came here because my wife was looking for a bloody Mary and somehow found this place on Unilocal.I decided it would be nice to try something new and add to my reviews. 1. The bloody Mary’s where decent at best. Not because of the mix but because it’s beer and wine only, so they only have the«Korean vodka». Taste wise they where pretty good. 2. I ordered the backend chicken sandwich in a lettuce wrap.(This fat boy is trying to lose some weight). Chicken was cooked well but lacked seasoning. I was impressed with the lettuce wrap. It as wrapped well and held together. I hate when they give a sandwich a sloppy wrap and it all falls apart in the first bite. 3. The wife ordered the chicken Ceaser. Pretty basic salad, not much to speak of. Over all I give this place an eh. Not great, not bad.

Awesome service. So friendly and accommodating. I felt at ease and comfortable the entire experience. I ordered Maggie’s Bourbon Burger with Brioche bun and Guaca Burger with Gluten-free bun. I also ordered sweet potato fries(that comes with it) and substituted onion rings for fries(for only 99¢)!

Smack in the middle of nowhere, you don’t expect quality food usually. I’m very lucky this place is 5 minute walking distance from where I live. I get their Flatiron steak here once a month. Once I complained about the diminishing size of the steak and they gave me my next order on the house. They really take customer service and feedback seriously. Their Taco Tuesdays are yummylicious, too!

We always go to Spice House Café so this time I wanted to try something new. Maggie’s Café does have very flavorful choices but their portions are bit small. My fiancé says cause it’s a café, food are going to be over-priced and small portions. They did make an amazing rare steak and the Tex-Mex omelette was not boring.

The food took a long time. The salmon was so dry I had to order 4 drinks. I believe it came out of a frozen package as well. The blue Hawaiian was the bottle of blue Hawaiian premade from a bottle. I am amazed this place has alot of stars. It used to be very very good. Now it just fucking sux!

Good service here but that’s about it! Ordered huevos racheros and veggie wrap. Huevos Ranchero $ 9+, the salsa on top of the eggs is like canned tomato sauce!(No fresh salsa or whatsoever).A side of rice about 3 table spoon!(Just white rice sprinkled with herbs!) and side of beans about 3 table spoon!(not even refried beans!) and no side tortillas! Come on now people! Ugh!!! Veggie wrap is ehhh. Lots of lettuce, 2 pieces of cooked broccoli and 1 piece/cube of italian squash. I was very disappointed! Should’ve just went to the taco shop next door!!! Only good thing here is the service. Total damage $ 24+.

Let me start with some good. The staff is super friendly. I’ve been a few times for lunch and their wraps are decent. But they fall short big time with dinner. The vegetables are not fresh. They taste like they came straight from the freezer. The mashed potatoes look like they come from a box(although I will admit they aren’t the worst tasting and not the best). I’ve visited this place several times and seem to be disappointed every time. EVERY. TIME. I really wanted to like this spot. The taco Tuesday is nothing to write home about. The salmon was AWFUL. The flat iron steak is eh. Burgers are ok. They need to get new cooks in the kitchen unfortunately. They don’t seem to care if anything is over cooked or if they’re serving you freezer burned veggies. I like my food fresh. Not fresh from the freezer. After reading some of the raving reviews, I’m starting to not trust Unilocalers judgments :/

On a hunt for a dog friendly outdoor patio, this is the place. My friends recommended me this place as they speak so highly of it here. Let me start off by saying I didn’t go inside since I just sat in the tables in the front. So this goes for the service outside only. There’s $ 3 bottomless mimosas and some other drunk special I have forgotten. I got the stuffed French toast. It has strawberries, bananas, cream cheese and powdered sugar on it. With a side of sunny side up eggs and sausages. The stuff French toast was okay. Maybe a 7⁄10. It wasn’t huge and fluffy, more plain like something I could whip up easily at home in 5 minutes. The eggs were perfectly cooked. The sausages were soooo tasty despite it dripping in fatty grease. That’s that good bad stuff! Ranchero omelette. I believe this is the only omelette with any type of meat in it. Steak! So everything here was basically very unseasoned. Next time ask for your fries extra crispy because they’re all completely soggy. But salt, pepper and a little bit of hot sauce can fix anything. 6⁄10 Half way through my water I realized there was a fly imbedded in my ice cube. So disgusting. Maybe I’ll come back one day maybe I won’t idk the prices are affordable. 10% off check in.

My family and friends discovered this hidden gem last year and we’ve been coming back since! We used to come all the way from San Ysidro to eat! Now we live alot closer. Everything from the food to the staff is amazing, you can’t go wrong with anything you order! They cater to your every craving, from healthy to wanting to indulge in something a bit more juicy:) I definitely recommend this place.

Great breakfast spot! My friend and I came here this morning to have breakfast first thing this morning. Call us early risers! Maggie’s was really quiet for at least the first 45 minutes this morning. It always seems like all the San Diego breakfast spots are so busy, especially on the weekends. This is a huge bonus for me. I ordered their California Omelet. It was made with spinach, pico de gallo, avocado, with pepper jack cheese. You can’t mess up a good omelet, and in this case, everything was cooked perfectly. A key to using avocado is that it’s fresh avocado, and that was certainly the case with the California Omelet. I opted for the wheat toast, which came buttered and delicious! I also got a side of bacon, which was crispy. I like crispy bacon! My friend had their breakfast sandwich, which looked amazing! She didn’t complain, and mentioned that it was very tasty! Breakfast is my jam, so I need to try this next time! Their coffee service was outstanding! I don’t think my coffee could go empty, unless I hid my coffee cup from the servers! Coffee was on point and made well. I think Maggie’s has made a new customer out of me! I can’t wait to head back, especially for their lunch and dinner!

Came here for Saturday morning breakfast today. We got there around 10, and it wasn’t too crowded. If you show up around 11, it’s pretty busy. We were seated immediately upon arrival. Maggie’s is small, and has the feel of a small-town breakfast café. The décor is very clean and warm, and there are several large tv’s mounted. We ordered a round of bloody Mary’s, which were delicious and a bit spicy. Our server was friendly and very efficient. I had the South of the Border Benedict, and ITWASAMAZING! Imagine a light English muffin, topped with two chorizo patties, fresh avocados and perfectly poached eggs. Top it all off with a savory chipotle sauce, and you have sheer happiness. My meal was served with fresh fruit and thick-cut potatoes. She had the flat iron steak and eggs, and I have to say that for a $ 12 steak and eggs, I wasn’t expecting a lot. Thankfully we were so wrong! The steak was so juicy, and masterfully cooked. Overall, this meal was superb. For those of you looking for a local breakfast(and lunch/dinner) spot, without fighting traffic and parking downtown, go to Maggie’s. From a quality standpoint, this place is on par with any trendy brunch spot downtown, at half the price(most meals are under $ 10). What a gem! I will definitely be back.

Unilocal to the rescue with more local favorites. On our first day in San Diego we were trying to get somewhere. We didn’t end up there, but we did end up here thanks to Unilocal. I had the Torta Cubana. I’d never heard of a Torta before, but wow it was huge and very good. I had to take half home(Well, the Hotel) for later and I’m not a take half home for later guy. Good Portions, good food. Absolutely recommend you stop in here.

Found this place while looking for a breakfast that I could easily eat on the go. Like a breakfast sandwich and yes, they have one here. Trying to avoid meat for lent so I called ahead and asked if I could substitute the bacon for veggies or other and the associate that assisted me was more then accommodating. Instead of the bacon I added grilled mushrooms and spinach. Great crunch on the sourdough toast and the fried egg could great. The house potatoes were not super salty nor greasy so all flavors were on point. The side of fruit that came with it included pineapple(my fav), orange slices and cantaloupe. A good amount of food for an amazing price, great customer service with the care to accommodate your customers, and a product that is beyond tasty will get you 5 stars everyday. Look forward to returning and checking out the rest of the menu when I’m in the area.

I came here once before and ordered an omelette and it was quite dry. However, omelette’s sometimes are when there isn’t sauce so I didn’t worry about it. I decided to give the restaurant another go because I had a craving for eggs Benedict and it was rated so highly. Order: South of the border eggs Benedict Traditional eggs Benedict Coffee 2 waters Well, the menu clearly states English muffin when ordering eggs Benedict which is expected. However, they brought both orders out on a toasted bun. No one bothered to tell us they«ran out» of English muffins. When we asked about this they told us they didn’t know. It took three people to confirm they ran out. The fruit cup had 2 cubes of melons, and 2 cubes of pineapple and a 1/8″ slice of orange. Nothing great. The potatoes were clearly fried in over-used, dirty oil, which was evident in both appearance and taste. They were terrible. The south of the border apparently gets double the serving of potatoes that the traditional eggs Benedict gets since that’s how it was served to us. We also ordered coffee which was empty by the time our food came out and never refilled. In the end they took 30% off of our check total. But honestly, since it wasn’t just one thing but multiple things, and an inability to offer première customer service after obviously making a mistake, we don’t anticipate going back.

Came here yesterday for breakfast(Sunday morning around 9:30 am). It was not busy at all, which was perfect because we were starving! We ordered: — Stuffed French Toast(stuffed with cream cheese, bananas, and strawberries topped with whipped cream) comes with eggs and bacon — Eggs Benny — with 15% for checking in on Unilocal, our bill came out to $ 17+ We didn’t feel like drinking, but they also have bottomless mimosas for like $ 8, and bloody Mary’s here! The food was good and good prices as well!
