I was a frequent visitor to Manny’s Salon. Anna is an excellent beautician!
Before, I get into my review, I wanted to inform people that Anna’s office location has changed. The name of her Salon changed from Manny’s Salon to Hair Art Salon. The location of her salon is:

Now, here is my review:
Anna is a gifted professional. From the time you meet her to the time you are finished with your haircut, she treats you with patience and kindness.
The first thing you will notice about her is that she listens to her customers. Rather than injecting her own beliefs, she goes to great lengths to provide the haircut that you personally desire. Often times she will stop in the middle of the haircut and ask me if my hair is at its desired length. This is one instance that exemplifies her customer-​centered service. I also noticed that she rejects new business to honor her current customers. If walk-​in customers show up at the end of my haircut, she will tell those customers that she cannot service them. I was blown away by her commitment to my haircut despite the temptations of new business. That says a lot about her character. She’s not simply providing haircuts as a job but she truly cares about the experience for her clients. I do truly appreciate that quality about her, and I hope people can really notice that about her. As we all know, talent is nothing without persistent hard work.
Moreover, Anna is highly experienced. She has tailored and perfected her craft for nearly two decades, and that level of experience cannot be cheated. She knows what’s popular but she also respects the beliefs of the customer. She can change from the razor to the scissor in a moment’s notice, all with the same level of exquisite care and talent. As a personal aside, she has invested at times up to 45 minutes on my haircut because she wanted it to be perfect. Keep in mind I am a male. Again, I believe people will notice this quality about her. I’ve never been disappointed by a single hair-​cut she has provided, and I’ve received more than two years’ worth of haircuts from her. That’s a lot of opportunity for mistakes. In fact, at my latest haircut, I shouted, this is a handsome hair cut!
Lastly, Anna is a morally strong person. I’ve felt that my bond with her as grown each time I visited. I learn something about her life. She’s very open about herself, and provides a fun experience overall. I recognize that people go to her for haircuts, but you will also learn to be very comfortable around her. I think this is important when you regularly visit a professional. If you are uncomfortable with that person, you may not desire to visit that person again for service even if they are great at what they do.
Overall, this is a top-​notch experience that cannot be replicated in any other part of San Diego, let alone the United States of America. She can give you traditional Korean hair style hair cuts, modern haircuts, Korean-​American Haircuts, American Haircuts, or simply a haircut. Know that you are in caring hands.

Only person that I trust my hair care needs is with Anna. I have been getting digital perms with Anna for 2 yrs now. She is amazing and knows what is best for your type of hair. The digital perm looks so natural and actually kept my hair healthy. Ive had 3 digital perms in 2 yrs and my hair looks better than ever.
Anna has also been cutting my hair for as long as I have been getting digital perms. She really takes the time to know what style you want and she finishes really well.
Its always a great experience when I go to see Anna. She is an amazing stylist.
The best Digital Perm in San Diego.

I have some experience with digital perms since I have had it done 4 times — 2 with Anna. In my experience, Anna’s digital perms are the BEST and I will never go anywhere else. She will take her time and set the curls right with the least damage to your hair. As other people mentioned, her attention to detail is excellent — which I think is very important when someone is doing your hair.
I should also mention that Anna is also really good at cutting layers. I usually don’t have to cut my hair for many months after she gives me a hair cut since the layers grow in so well. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a perm or haircut.

Anna is so nice and did a wonderful job. I went in to get a digital perm, and wanted a beachy wavy look. I showed her some pics and that’s what she gave me. In addition, she cut my hair in the beginning and did a great job. I recommend her to anyone for a haircut and/​or digital perm. I’m delighted to write to write a review for this salon because Anna deserves a rave review!
The salon itself does not a boast an extravagant environment, but that does not take away from the top notch service Anna provides. I came in for a digital perm and she was able to give me exactly what I had pictured. The price for the digital perm was very affordable and it is a relief waking up and not having to style my hair in the morning… it just comes out in a nice beachy waves. I believe the price for a digital perm is determined by the length of hair because I paid was $ 180 for my long hair, but my friend had paid $ 150 for her hair which is shoulder length. Throughout the entire process Anna was very sweet and made an effort to converse with me despite the language barrier. I typically pay $ 90 for a haircut at a high end salon in downtown La Jolla, but I was very satisfied with what I received with Anna. I have received countless compliments about my digital perm and I will definitely be going back to see her. Thank you Anna!

I walked in and sat for ten minutes. Not one person welcomed me or even told me that they’ll be with me in a minute. So I ended up leaving.

Anna is so nice! I think she’s one of the most patient hair dressers I’ve ever met. The salon itself is sort of old-​school, but the haircut was super cute and exactly what I was hoping for. Since my hair is coarse, I try to keep it a bit on the longer side so it doesn’t get crazy on me, but Anna suggested taking it up a little shorter, and it was PERFECT. I didn’t think that I could even pull off the length she suggested, but she knew my hair better than I did :)
The only bad thing about Manny’s was it was hard to find the first time (it was before they added the part about it being near Tajiama) but then I figured out it was next to one of my fav ramen places which made it that much better. For those of you that are thinking of going, FYI its in the same lot as Café Venti

Anna did a GREAT job of giving me a digital perm at comparable Ktown LA prices. She also did a good layer cut. She only speaks Korean so I recommend bringing a picture or a Korean-​speaking friend with you if you use her services.
