We hired Mark Schroeder based on a recommendation from our landscape designer. Mr. Schroeder & Co. failed to follow the landscape plan, meet contractual timelines, and to communicate professionally. We were forced to hire another contractor to complete the work and to move plants Schroeder had planted in the wrong places. We met with him and his employees multiple times but the poor communication and poor follow-​up required us to take him to the California State Licensing Board (CSLB) for binding arbitration. Fortunately, we won, and Mr. Schroeder paid us, allowing us to replant, replace and rebuild the work he had done poorly or incorrectly.
