Dining at Rady’s Children Hospital is rather limited. Therefore this McDonald’s is a nice addition to the hospital. It delivers the same quality of food and friendly service the chain it known for. It is conviently located inside the Rady’s Children hospital. Their fast service allows you to take a quick moment to enjoy a meal without being to far or away too long from love ones being cared at the hospital.

Food here is just like any other McDonalds… but service here is amazing! It is located right inside the children’s hospital so the majority of the customers are family and friends of the sick ones. It is already emotionally stressful enough to be at the hospital but the service here makes some of the stress go away. The cashiers are always friendly, enthusiastic, and tries to accommodate as much as they can with your order. I would come and ask for fries at 9AM(they don’t usually serve lunch until 10:30AM) but the workers were really nice and started the fryer to make my fries. Thank you for such amazing service during my visit at the hospital!!!

Giving this Mc D’s 4⁄5 stars because it has TWO lanes to place your order in the drive thru. I rarely eat Mc D’s, but I came here to cash out a Klout perk to try the Shamrock shake. I order my shake and received it in a timely fashion — served with a smile! If in the area, I would return for more than a shake!

Considering McDonald is fast food, it is not bad. The food is not something I would love to eat, but if you are comparing it to other fast food restaurants and not high quality restaurants, I would give it 4 stars. The service here is 5, consistently friendly and fast. The only issue I have with the specific location is that I does not seem very clean, the tables are never really clean which is why I gave 3.5 stars overall.

Well, I had to go to the McDonald’s since my child was in children’s ER. I don’t expect much on any McDonald’s, but it was really awful. Lettuce was not fresh, meat wasn’t good, either, and the fries were salty. The only positive side is it was super-fast. Maybe I am too used to better ham burgers like In-N-Out Burger.

Just another McDonald’s? Nope. This one is a microcosm of all that is both good and evil in our society. On the negative side, this is a McDonald’s INSIDETHECHILDREN’S HOSPITAL! It’s like, «Hey, kid! We just took out your appendix! Now rush over there for your scoop of type 2 diabetes!» I wonder how many sick kids here order the happy meal with the apple slices. I’m guessing not many. But there are some clear positives too. The main one is that the restaurant is most certainly here because the company has funded a new Ronald McDonald House, which is set to open in spring 2009 and serve as a home away from home” for families with seriously ill children at the hospital. Which is great, I suppose. Would the hospital have made the same sort of deal with a tobacco company? Probably not. And yet, this does seem to be something of a Faustian bargain. I don’t hate everything about McDonald’s, but let’s face it, they don’t exactly prioritize the promotion of healthy eating and sustainable agriculture. One other big unrelated positive for this McDonald’s is that it houses the hospital’s coolest sculpture, the kinetic work by George Rhoads, «Incrediball Circus». It’s a motorized rolling ball machine that is surely a healthier distraction for sick kids than the quarter pounder with cheese. And it’s bad ass. Worth the trip by itself. Who needs a toy in their happy meal when you can watch this as you eat?

The McDonald’s on Children’s Way was actually crawling with children the last time I visited. Apparently, irresponsible parents have taken the name of the street far too literally and have assumed that McDonald’s is a «family restaurant.» In fact, the sophisticated, subdued ambience and adult party vibe of this hip eatery make it inappropriate for anyone under 23. I would ike to give this McDonald’s more than two stars since my Happy Meal was a culinary masterpiece, but several kids approached me and asked me if they could have my prize. As if! Unfortunately, I cannot in good conscience recommend this McDonald’s for those Unilocalers seeking a respite from the hustle and bustle and dreary mundanity of suburban life.
