Mi Né Sushi may get lost in the sea of other strip mall sushi joints in San Diego, but it shouldn’t. This place is a great little neighborhood joint. The sushi is quite good, and there is a large variety of specialty rolls. The torched salmon is probably the best piece of sushi I have ever had. Ask for it, you won’t be disappointed. Another great aspect of the place is that it is family run. The owner/sushi chef Steve is a real hoot. He loves talking to the customers, has no problem sharing a beer or shot of sake with you, and is also a classically trained chef. Aside from just sushi, there are other Japanese and Korean(Steve and his wife are Korean) items on the menu as well. When the weather is crummy outside I head to Mi Né for a big bowl of tempura udon(noodles). Warms me right up. Mi Né is very clean, well staffed, and a great place to have dinner. Parking can be a bit difficult since the spaces in the lot are small and the parking lot itself is a bit of a maze, but it is well worth the hassle.

«Y’all gon’ make me lose my mind up in HERE, up in here If I gotsta bring it to you cowards then it’s gonna be quick, aight All your mens up in the jail before, suck my d**K» It’s like eating sushi at a club. The music is turned up a few too many decibels high, and not the kind of songs you want the kids to listen to. Cool place to come with a bunch of friends. Dinner was 25 bucks for a small sushi combo and a Sapporo-not cheap. You get a small salad, edamame and miso soup. For that price I’d go somewhere else, I wasn’t too impressed with the sushi, everything was a bit too bland.
