Almost neck and neck with Mama’s Lebanese Bakery, Micho’z will not disappoint! Try the vegan sampler or don’t miss the delicious pies off the saaj grill– zaatar is a no brainier and the tabouleh is probably the best in town. Not too over seasoned but subtle and delightful, the falafel isn’t a burnt rock like at some other Mediterranean joints … Complimentary brine carrots and some delicious pickled beets will keep you awake while you’re awaiting your yummy food. Everything tastes fresh and did I mention the hummus is one of the best and homemade taste I’ve experienced in San Diego?! Give it a try!

I have eaten there about once a weekfor 2 years, and their business keeps growing. I have never had a poor meal at Misho’s that I didn’t like. I consider it to be best food in Hillcrest. Food is supoer. Everything from fantastic soups(my favorite is lentil), to kebabs that almost melt in your mouth(my favorite is beef kabob), to wraps(my favorite is beef Sharma). and much much more. This is a family owned and run by a really nice Lebonese family. Mike manages and often cooks. His two sisters help a lot, as do other members of the family as needed. Service is friendly and good, but not fast because everything is prepared when to your order.(I’m not even sure if they ever use a microwave. Also prices are reasonable by Hillcrest standards. Try it or their carry out/delivery. Bob R

We order delivery from here pretty regularly and these guys have really got it down. Delicious food, consistent service, quick delivery and good prices. The labne with garlic and hummus are favorites. Thanks for making dinner so easy, Mich’oz!

This was a pleasant surprise start to our San Diego vacation! Definitely one of the best Lebanese places we’ve ever been to. We ordered a lamb sandwich and a vegan platter. The service is good, the atmosphere is casual and cute, and the food is amazing! We are most definitely returning before we leave!

Were to begin? Can I simple say the service sucked and the food was OK. Out off six plates order, three of them were wrong. When we asked to have the order fixed we were told it was our fault. By far one of the worst dinning experiences I have had in a long time. To make it even worse, they tried to charge us for wrong food. Then blamed us for ordering wrong and that it was our fault. This is one place I will not return too, based solely on the service! I gave it a two star because some of the food i tried tasted good. Not great, but not terrible either.

Second place ordering kebab and Mediterranean/Lebanese style food in SD. WOW. We just moved here and can’t wait to try all their different menu items! The vegetarian selection is awesome! I had lentil soup and cheese pies, both flavorful(although I wish cheese pies where crispier). Fiancé finished his beef kebab plate in under ten minutes and gives it a full-mouthed two thumbs up. Yummy. WE’LLBEBACK!

My friends and I came here on one of the coldest and rainiest days(relative to San Diego) and were quite miserable inside. It may have been becuase the restaurant is basically a garage, which is interesting but not the most comfortable environment. But, the food was great and that’s what really matters. After my life was changed by the chicken tawook flatbread at Alforon, I naturally had to order the chicken tawook wrap. I don’t know if that refers to the spices, but whatever it is, it’s delicious. Also, there are a variety of sides to choose from, and I highly recommend the lentil soup, which offered some warmth in the drafty room. On a slightly random note, the menu is so large that it is slightly overwhelming… But, judging by what we had it seems like you can’t go wrong with anything.

This is not just a one time visitor review. I have eaten at this location numerous times. It is quickly become a staple to my favorite restaurants. I have eaten both lunch and dinner and have never been disappointed. It is one of the most. Flavorful Greek salads that I often eat for lunch. The hummus is the very best I have ever tasted anywhere. I recently tried cheese pie, which was addicting, and probably shouldn’t be on my diet too often or I will need two chairs to fit in. The dinner that is one of my very favorites is their Michoz half a roasted chicken. I enjoy the patio when weather permitting allows for great people watching. These guys no their Lebanese food, and some of the best I’ve ever tasted. What a pleasure

One of the best mediterranean restaurants in San Diego. My favorites are the chicken kabab, beef shawarma, fried cauliflower, baba ghannouj, batata harra(spicy potatoes), falafel, sambosek, tabbouleh, fattouch, kebbeh, all pies. and of course the chocoba for dessert. I have tried every single Lebanese restaurant in San Diego and as a Lebanese person myself im proud to say that this is the most authentic and real Lebanese food you can find in San Diego. Thank you Michoz!!!

I recently just moved to Hillcrest and I was browsing on Unilocal to search for a restaurant that had some comfort middle eastern food. As I came across Micho’z, I found some entrees that looked appetizing. I convinced my roommate to go with me and give this place a try. As we entered the restaurant, we were immediately greeted and sat by our sweet server Joanna. The overall ambiance of the restaurant reminded me of a relaxed cozy place where you can either bring your family and friends for or come solo and work on your laptop. They have outdoor seating which I also really enjoyed. As for the food, OHMY! it was truly delicious. I ordered the chicken kabob plate with a side of tabouleh. My chicken was super juicy and tender, and they also have this yummy garlic paste you can put on your chicken. The tabouleh was out of this world and it reminded me of my grandma’s homemade tabouleh. My roommate got their beef kabob and she said the same thing about the meat being super tender and delicious. The service was also impeccable! Our server Joanna told us that Micho’z is family owned and operated and that is the exact vibe and treatment we received. She was so sweet and helpful in helping us make our entrée selections. Her brother(Micho) was also super nice and welcoming. I find it rare to find family operated restaurants that excel in both food and service nowadays. It’s usually one way or the other so when I got to have both at once I knew I had to give this place a review and 5 stars! If you’re looking for good Lebanese food, and good service be sure to check this place out! They also have a great selection of wine and Lebanese beer! Thanks Joanna and the rest of your family for making our experience truly amazing! We will for sure be back.

The service is slow, but the beef shawarma is very tasty and perfectly spiced. It tastes like Christmas spices. The fatoush salad was summery and had olive oil, lemon juice and finely chopped parsley atop lettuce, purple onion, tomatoes, cucumbers and pita chips. Yum. Bring your own toothpick for all the tiny parsley.

Best«Arabic» and/or «Mediterranean» food in all of San Diego. Family owned + Clean + Fresh + Home made+ Fairly priced + Customer service + Only place that reminded me of real authentic Lebanese food. I’ve tried many middle eastern establishments and this by far is the best. Wish I could go more often but I moved out of San Diego.

This place has a large menu and everything is delicious. Their shawarma plates are amazing, the hummus to die for, their Kebobs are bombs! They make their own pits bread and kids will love eating their cheese pie. The only issue I have with them is that sometimes their plates and not warm enough. Other than that, best food ever!

I enjoy Lebanese food, not going lie. I’m a sucker for that tangy Labneh. I could slather it on just about everything on the menu. I sometimes get cravings for it. My biggest failing as a parent might be raising a child who doesn’t share my appreciation for this delicious food. Enter Micho’z Fresh Lebanese Grill. They deliver to my house! Not only that, they have a kid’s menu that includes chicken strips and fries for my picky son! I’m a fan. So many choices on the menu. I wasn’t sure what to go with. I figured since they have food my son will eat it’s a safe bet that we’ll be ordering again so I got a few vegetarian favorites this time around. Everything arrived hot and packaged well for travel. Nothing was forgotten. They even packed me a bag of their tasty saj bread. It was perfect with their delicious and oh so creamy Labneh. I’d definitely order it again and again. The lentil soup really hit the spot, I started with that. It had little chunks of carrots and potato in there and was garnished with cilantro, so wonderful. I also got the falafel which came with tomato slices, pickles, and pickled carrots. Everything was great and fresh tasting. The falafel was cooked just the way I like it, super crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. Finally I moved onto the spinach and cheese pie. Ooo it was heaven sandwiched between unleavened bread. That delicious spinach combined with tomatoes, onions, mozzarella, and feta cheese. Absolutely divine. I couldn’t stop myself from slathering some Labneh on it, because I’m kind of a glutton :-) The gentleman who brought our order was really friendly and someone called from the restaurant to see if everything was good. I was very happy with the service and will definitely order again. My son had commented after I gave him his food«is this a new place?» Then later, «order from them again.» Haha, he’s so picky but even he was pleased.

I came here for lunch in the middle of the work day because I was craving something filling, but not too heavy. Grilled meat and rice seemed like the way to go! I ordered the Beef Shawarma along with the Kafta Kabob Salad. The salad was a salad. It tasted pretty fresh especially because of the mint and parsley but it served mainly as a good distraction while I awaited my real meal made of meat. The beef shawarma was very simple and very good. It wasn’t bursting with flavor, but you could tell that the ingredients were fresh and the meat was tender. In combination with the rice, onions and tahini sauce poured over it, this dish definitely hit the spot. The food came out fast and the service was very good. Definitely a good lunch spot and a welcome break in the middle of the day.
