The T Lounge

T Lounge is still open:) Hangover sandwich was so tasty on sour dough panini style with a really cute fresh fruit bowl! Bacon was perfectly crisp and cheese melted nicely with mayo and tomatoes. The Ham & egg burrito was awesome — Thanksgiving ham style not the thinly sliced ham! Came with rice and a bean soup which was creamy goodness! Service and server were extremely friendly to top it off! A definite must try if you’re in the Hillcrest area for Brunch 10−2pm!

This review is for the new ownership, Brick Bar. It does not reflect at all on the organizations that host events here. On 5÷15÷16, MAN-​UPP hosted a private event that included an unlimited beer bust from 8 PM — 2 AM. Because Brick Bar was concerned with it interfering with their revenue, they canceled the beer bust without informing either the customers who had purchased tickets on Eventbrite or the Facebook group. When I inquired about this at the bar, the manager on duty, ”Mike”, informed me multiple times that he was ‘too busy for questions.’ When I spoke to the event coordinator from MANN-​UPP, he was extremely apologetic and said he would take care of my tab according to the rules of the beer bust, which was very appreciated. However, upon closing my tab, all drinks were charged to my bill despite me and the organizer specifically insisting otherwise. You shouldn’t host private events if your manager is ‘too busy’ to speak to the organizers about issues with advertising and a failure to perform
EDIT: MAN-​UPP was extremely kind and refunded the excess. This review is solely about the failure of the venue to adhere to the event.

This place is known as the Brick now. Came here for a meet and greet and had the tacos! Amazing food! Try the queso fresco tacos! Alex is so nice and very customer service oriented! Drinks are pretty strong as well.

Great atmosphere! Went there for brunch, very relaxing. Food and drinks were good. Prices were reasonable.

What I like best are the awesome customers who the patron Brick Bar as well as the staff.

I found this place through Groupon but purchased it mainly because of the high ratings on Unilocal.My husband, two kids (3 & 14 yrs old) and I visited this place for Sunday brunch. Unfortunately, I was disappointed with the food & overall ambiance. The food was pretty bland. I had huevos rancheros, husband had the chilaquiles & 14 yr old had the French Toast. They looked better on Unilocal’s posted pics rather than in real life. Granted, this spot is not the most appropriate place for kids. I didn’t try their beverages but the Bloody Mary’s & mimosas looked pretty good. Staff was friendly & the service was satisfactory.

Awesome place! Had the chilaquiles. They are legit I’m mexican. Bottomless mimosas are delicious.

Taco Thursday = life
They offer $ 2 tacos (carne asada, chicken & veggie tacos), and they’re so good! Plus they have $ 5 margaritas all night. You can’t go wrong with this place. I’ve heard them play some drum & bass music too a few weeks ago, which I loved The same guy owns the T Lounge next door, and they have amazing sandwiches and soup! I love the BBQ sandwich, sometimes they have that on their daily specials. Check ‘Em out, you won’t be disappointed

Traditional: a lot of food! Worth the price.

BEST KEPT SECRET IN HILLCREST, located across the street from the ⁷⁄₁₁. Great host in Alex and server Chelle! You’ll love the food, portions & presentations. Don’t forget the bottomless Mimosas & Bloody Mary’s! Watch your favorite sporting event on their flat screens. Can’t wait to do it all over again!

Found this place on Groupon and and it had good reviews on Unilocal so we decided to stop by. This place was amazing! Bunch is until 2pm and bottomless mimosas are $ 9 with food.
I ordered the hangover sandwich which sounded pretty basic eggs, bacon, and tomato on sourdough. So delicious I can’t do it justice over this review.
This place is kind of small but the owner made sure we were taken care of!
Next time I’m around I will definitely be stopping by, and recommending it to all of my friends!

My girlfriend and I decided to pay a visit due to the high ratings on Unilocal,and was impressed.
They had a traditional brunch menu, but it really exceeded my expectations, I had the breakfast sandwich, and it was probably one of the best sandwiches I’ve had in a while.
The décor was comforting especially with the patio, which looked like you were dining in your own backyard.
The service there was amazing, there were so many servers, bussers, and bartenders checking up on us. We didn’t have to lift a finger!

greatest brunch EVER!!! Alex the owner is literally the coolest guy ever and kept our bottomless mimosas flowing the whole time :) the food was great, the drinks were GREAT (mimosas were fantabulous as were the bloody marys), and the service was what topped it all off. Definitely will be coming back with all my neighbors to have sunday brunch. Also, our waitress was marianna, and even though it was her first day, she was awesome! Can’t wait to make this our regular spot :) thanks again guys!

Such great hospitality & intimate service. Food is delicious & the owner is more than willing to talk anywhere from 1 to 20 mins.

The T Lounge hosted my best friends’ bachelor party and it was a big success. The owner Alex, and the staff, particularly Jacob and Donick were very helpful during the planning process.
The front of the lounge looks quite small, yet the inside is surprisingly big and complex. The bar area has a nice sports bar feeling completed with pinball machines and a pool table. A little towards the back, there is an area that looks like a café where you can sit on comfy couches while sipping your drink. The back room and the corridor are often used for displaying arts. Further back, there is a nice and serene outdoor area for dining and conversation. This was very nice when you have a mixed group of friends. Almost everyone can find the niche they feel comfortable with.
The lounge has a nice menu of cocktails, for added bonus, the owner also owns the T Deli next door, makes the T Lounge a great place to hangout with food and drinks.

Wow we came to have one drink with a friend visiting San Diego and ended up staying all afternoon. I ordered brunch and the bottomless mimosas while others in our group had the bottomless bloody Mary’s.
Donick took care of us at the bar and actually recommended the delicious chilaquiles! He is so cute and sweet. Thank you! We will definitely be back for more fun!

T-​Lounge is the BEST LOUNGE/​BAR/​HANGOUT SPOT in SD… by my (high) standards! UNpretentious, great drinks, amazing service, friendly bartenders that translates to easygoing «regulars». The art that rotates thru (via TPG2 Gallery) is INSANE!
For the past 2 mos I’ve been there EVERY SUNDAY for the 2-​for-​1 Brunch w/​bottomless mimosas. «Donick» is the bartender: AWESOME, sexy, generous pours! I could go on & on… Just go see for yourself that i am 100% accurate. Alex is the owner of the Lounge & Deli and he sets the tone: sweet, kind, open, progressive, astute. T-​Lounge is the «Cheers» of Hillcrest!

The drinks are cheap, at least during happy hour.
This is one of those places that I sort of feel badly for because the outdoor space (out back) is so lovely and often filled, while the front area that can be seen from the street is a bit of a mess and usually empty. I feel badly for them, because the street traffic is probably going to move on down the road since it looks so empty and unappealing, when in fact they’ve got this great «hidden» patio.
Anyway, like I said the drinks are cheap, so if nothing else, stop in when you want one.
