We were staying close by and craving sushi, so thought we would give this place a shot. Very pleasant staff and quick service. They got a couple orders wrong, but were apologetic and brought out the correct orders quickly and comped the incorrect orders. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area and in the mods for sushi.

Loved this little hole in the wall restaurant! We wanted a place close to mission beach. We enjoyed about 5 different types of sushi rolls and they were all DELICIOUS. We thought the pricing was great for sushi rolls. The waitress was very friendly and our service was very fast. Our waitress even threw in a couple miso soups for free. Guess she thought we needed more to eat since all we ordered were sushi rolls. We loved the miso soup as we waited for our sushi rolls which came out really fast anyway. The place wasn’t full when we went as it was an odd afternoon hour. There is a lot of eating in two different seating areas. Would definitely recommend especially if you enjoy supporting local places.

What a find! On a dinner break from a business conference and 11 of us needed to find a fast supper nearby. It’s like we won the restaurant lottery!
Don’t let the outside fool you. This little hole in the wall has ample seating, and was happy to adjust their tables to accommodate us. They even accommodated our request for individual checks without as much as a grumble.
The sushi options were plenty, and everything we ordered was delicious. Rainbow rolls, spicy tuna roll (the slice builds as you eat it), tempura, teriyaki… Everything.
I’d come back here in a heartbeat!

Walking distance from the Bahia Hotel. Serves sushi. They have Korean food during dinner time. Cannot pass for sushi with tofu soup (soondobu). So good!

Loved this place! Mizu surprised me… The outside doesn’t scream great food but the food does! A mix of Asian cuisine… The Sushi was amazing!!! So fresh and tasty! Being right by mission beach is so convenient! We ate our delicious food and walked up the way to the ocean and fun shops! Take me back!!!

Our favorite! Best place in town in our opinion. We had our first date there, they catered our wedding, and have graciously fed our daughters since they were born. (My oldest is now seven.) We love the owner. She is the best. Well… the sushi is pretty dang good too! How can you get better than Tiger rolls, miso soup, edamame, and large Sapporos on the water of our beautiful city? We love Mizu!

I LOVE THIS PLACE! Always have fresh food. Customer service is great. I love the lady that owns the place! She keeps making me return here every summer. You have the view of little bay which is a plus. It is only 2 minute walk to the beach as well. I LOVE THIS PLACE!

Tu was amazing! The food was delicious and came out in perfect time with our miso soup and sushi! So good :) The service was quick and great, so much customer service here from ALL staff members! Can’t wait to come back and try more of there dinner menu and see Tu again! She was the best!

I came just before closing time on a weekday night and unfortunately, it just wasn’t very good. The service was very nice and the atmosphere was a fine. I had basic stuff… California and rainbow roll and some individual pieces. Everything was lacking much taste and maybe even slightly warm. I feel bad writing this review and would try again, but it was disappointing.

This place is definitely quaint, with a mom and pop feel (literally, a couple), and provides really great Korean food, in a Japanese style. I know, does that even make sense? Yes, yes it does.
The décor is a little dated, but whatever. It has a great view and is very close to all the Mission Beach activities. The service is slow but, this place is literally run by two people. They work really hard to get you your food in a timely fashion, but sometimes, a business gets a rush! Be patient. Your food will come and it will be good!
I had the Korean sashimi combo, and I thought the fish was fresh, the sides were good and plentiful, and I left happy and full. I was quite pleasantly surprised by this place!

Amazing all around! Embarrassed now to say after being in business for 17 years I have tried this gem for the first time. I have seen and passed by this place a thousand times. It should not be overlooked. ! Great food, fair prices and the food was only rivaled by the amazing service!!! I will never overlook this gem again!

This is our go to sushi restaurant in San Diego. For more than 15 years the Hahm family has provided wonderful meals for our family. Mrs. Hahm has never missed a day of work in all of the years that we’ve been eating at her restaurant. Start your day at Mission Beach and end your night at Mizu Sushi. Best sushi, best service & best everything they have to offer. We now live 20 miles away and still come back once a month for a meal at Mizu!!!

We were looking for a taco place and ended up stumbling across this place. We went in and did not regret it! The sushi was phenomenal and the Japanese beer was pretty good for my first time having it.
Ordered the Mango Salmon Roll and it was delicious! I always go for the Spicy Tuna Roll but the mango is now my new fave. It was a nice change to my usual order when I go into sushi places.
They get a 5 star for their excellent customer service. I absolutely loved the server/​hostess! She was super nice and attentive.

I’ve been coming here for 14 years for not only the amazing sushi, but for the great service. Best sushi and arguably the best service at the beach. Miss Kim and her staff make you feel so welcome. If your in the area stop in for a quick roll or a drink… You won’t be disappointed.

Everyone should order the Korean food! They are a Korean restaurant that sells sushi and not a sushi restaurant that sells Korean food. I suggest the soondooboo, a soft tofu and vegetable spicy soup. The portion is huge and delicious~~also the BBQ beef is bulgogi. The kimchi pancake is good too!!!
If you go in the evening, they might be pretty busy, and the restaurant might seem a bit in chaos. Be patient and enjoy.
