Great place for an acai bowl. I haven’t tried anything else yet since I go here primarily for the Petco bowl but it’s one of my favorites in San Diego! The employees are very nice and always seem to be working as fast as possible to get food out. If you’re an organic, healthy food lover… Check this place out. They have some freshly made wraps and juices as well. It’s a smaller establishment but is always clean and comfortable.

I highly recommend the Petco Bowl with ONELARGECAVEAT. Each one of the employees make it a different way so ask for the acai sauce on the side because if it’s swimming in that stuff it’s no good. But if it’s the right amount then it’s delicious.

Walked over from the hotel. A charming little café. Flatscreen playing the morning news but not blaringly loud if you’re trying to talk. A regular cranberry banana acaí bowl, $ 8.80 or so. A little expensive, but it’s the Gaslamp District. Sliced almonds, yoghurt, granola and the aforementioned. A great way to start the day. Nice folk behind the counter. No coffee, so be sure to bring in your own. My one complaint was encountering a 1.50×0.50×0.50 millimeter piece of clear plastic in the bowl. It lodged in my teeth and I worried it was glass, but I determined it was just plastic. Some may find such an object alarming, but I just set it aside. I’m likely to revisit it tomorrow. So, recommended, with an asterisk.

The juice and the foods are so healthy and amazing for when you need a quick healthy fix. They have a rewards program buy 10 get the 11th one free. This is a well-kept secret but I wish they would expand into North County. Mixologie juice bar is one of my new spots when I go downtown now.

Don’t get breakfast there. These people do not know what they are doing. I got a waffle, found out it isn’t made on the premise. They basically take a frozen waffle and put it in the toaster. They put alot of fruit on it — but the fruit wasn’t that sweet. SO I would not go for that. BUT the juice bar is good. I got apple pitaya which was a cool purple and tasty and really filling. Also tried the ginger orange banana also really tasty. So go the juices not the food!

This place is good! The menu is pretty extensive/impressive for a local juice place. The service is as quick as fresh juice gets and the employees always greet you with a smile. I’d much rather spend the extra 3 – 4 bucks to support a small business over Jamba Juice any day. But, my only issue is that it’s not consistent. I always order the same thing and it NEVER tastes the same. I don’t know if it’s that they run out of ingredients or what but when a smoothie calls for ginger– you usually taste the ginger. I’m a creature of habit so when I find something I like that’s what I get but, maybe I’ll start exploring the menu a little more for now on.

I just go gaga for this kind of crap. Ya know the juice/yogurt bowls/healthy world brand of café shops kind of crap. Excuse my less than classy language but we are sooo incredibly lacking in places like this in the Central Valley that I jump on these cafes like white on rice. Is it just me or does everyone in San Diego look like they don’t eat ice cream? The demographic here appears to be a lot less fluffy than my own kind at home. With that being said, my girl friend and I got super inspired to jog through Balboa Park and a few wrong turns later we ended up accidentally racking up 7 miles until we finally made it home. Our reward? Myxologie Bowls. They have blended acai and pitaya(I had never heard of pitaya but I guess it’s dragon fruit purée or something). You also can get a free super boost mix in with a Unilocal check in(like flax, chia, nuts, etc) I got the Green Bowl with only half the sweetener and it was plenty sweet. It has kale blended into the acai(which you can’t even taste), berries, bananas, hemp granola, and I asked for a dollop of almond butter on top. It was like a ¼c and I’m nutty for nut butter so I was quite pleased. My friend got some green smoothie and it was delish as well. They have citrus water for free while you wait and they do have a small selection of salads, wraps, and sandwiches. We liked it so much we came again a few days later before we left the city.

Great smoothie in a central location by Petco park. The ingredients tasted very fresh and the person making my smoothie was very friendly. Juice Saves a few blocks away charges $ 9 for a smoothie, here they are $ 6.45 a much better deal.

I’ve been looking forward to trying an acai bowl for quite some time, and I was definitely not disappointed. It was extremely pricey though. It was pleasantly full, and not stuffed. For $ 10, it would probably just be an occasional treat.

This place has some awesome goodness. The tri-athlete green based smoothie is worth mentioning and trying. My gf loves the acai bowls. Staff is friendly and upbeat every time I’ve been in there.

This is perfect for a post-outdoor run or high intensity activity, to get you going in the morning. It is all fruit and smoothie blends, and it has a Jamba Juice feel, but a taste that can’t be replicated. It is located near many fitness centers, and a few blocks from Petco Park. Food: Pretty in Pink with Chia Seeds and Pineapple: The smoothie at the bottom was very flavorful and stayed intact the whole time. Whenever I eat a smoothie, 10 – 15 minutes down the line, it starts to get runny, since it starts to melt. But the smoothie at the bottom stayed together the whole time. The fruit was very fresh, including the pineapple and the strawberries. It is a refreshing start to your day. Extras: If you check in, you get an extra add on or a mix-in.

Walking to work this morning I wanted a different option for a quick grab breakfast(which is very limited at 7AM downtown.). I came across Mixology because they had a breakfast menu out on the sidewalk. Choices were waffles, crepes, panini, acai bowl or steel cut oats. I chose the panini minus the meat. The panini was made with sourdough, egg cheese and spinach inside. I was also given a very garlic aioli on the side — I got the panini to go. When I got to work, I opened my panini and was pleasantly surprised with the delicious sandwich that was made for me. Everything was fresh and delicious, and the aioli was a perfect compliment. I would recommend grabbing a quick breakfast here in the am. The service was friendly, and it was all around a nice way to start the day. I haven’t tried their smoothies as of yet, but I will be sure to soon.

I had never tried Asai before, but one of my good friends absolutely loves it. I work down the street from Mixologie Juice Bar and walk by it multiple times per week. One day I decided to just go on in and give it a try. I knew I would love it based on the ingredients and also because of how amazing the store smells from the moment you walk in! I usually order the Pretty in Pink bowl. It has asai, strawberries, bananas, granola and is mixed with apple juice. It has just the right amount of sweet, yet you can tell you are eating something healthy. It’s actually surprising how filling these bowls are too. A lot of people eat them for breakfast, but I actually purchase them for lunch and I’ve always been comfortable until dinner. I also purchased a chicken and pesto panini once. They are made fresh daily and after you buy it, they heat it up for you. It was quite good and sometimes I crave their sandwiches over the asai bowls. It’s definitely a bit pricey, so I wouldn’t eat there on a regular basis, but I definitely make the effort to go once every few weeks.

This place rocks healthy panini sandwiches — I did the chicken and spinach and shared with my Dad(I loooove the aioli sauce!) and the smoothies are simply delicious. Super close to Petco park, with very convenient parking structure next door and über nice staff offer excellent service! I also admired the art décor. And when you feel naughty, the cinnamon rolls are a decadent treat.

Chobani Greek Yogurt is what they put in my breakfast parfait, along with some fresh fruit and granola, topped with an extra topping of almonds earned from a good old Unilocal check in. I also had a pour over coffee for $ 3. In addition to the loads of great Greek yogurt, this parfait was all about the layers: the layers of creamy yogurt with its touch of sourness, sweet mildly acidic strawberries, crunchy earthy granola and hemp, and then finished via the nutty almonds( ). All were terrific to eat together. They were not skimpy on the yogurt I may add. They also make crepes, waffles, steel cut oatmeal, and of course and array of smoothies and juices. The pour over coffee was great. It very was very smooth and rich, with not a hint of bitterness. Rocky made my parfait and it was great. Oddly enough, it was her first time making one and she passed with flying colors. She was quite friendly and sweet as well. Christian made the pour over, and my hat goes off to him for making a great one.

I have come to really like this place. They are a nice alternative to ‘fast food’ options. Healthy food that actually tastes great. I would have to say my favorite food item is the veggie wrap. And the Asian style salad! Delish and fresh. Smoothies, all of them are delishhhh! The Acai bowls could be bigger. Or smaller cups so I don’t feel like I got jipped. Tasty, just need to be a little bigger. Even the employees are friendly and educated on their products. Great job Mixology, keep the ‘Mix’ going!

Customer service* [+stars] Green drink«Skinny Bitch» * [+stars] Petco Park bowl mixed half/half with pitaya & acai… meh. I guess I should have stopped at the«Skinny Bitch,» because I thought I’d like this with the peanut butter, but there just seemed like too much in it. There pretty much was no trace of the acai or pitaya flavor.

A great juice bar near Petco park downtown. Drinks are all about $ 6 and are done really well. Lots of good ingredients and care into making them. I ordered the acai ginger which was perfect. I subbed almond milk for coconut milk and my drink really made me feel better after a long weekend of partying. Big fan!

I was in San Diego and found myself in Downtown and had not had breakfast. I pulled over to the side of the road pulled out my Iphone, used my Unilocal app and found out that Myxologie Juice Bar was right around the corner. I arrived at 8:30 in the morning and it seems that I missed the morning rush and I was able to find street parking. I was not sure what to expect when I walked into this place but the menu is pretty straight forward, easy to read and easy to order. After reviewing the menu I elected to order ‘The Triathlete’ which consisted of avocado, banana, organic peanut butter, dates, spirulina & coco water. You can add a superfood boost for a $ 1.00 more per boost; I decided to go with Hemp Protein & Pure Acai. I have to pat myself on the back and say the drink I created was amazing!!! If ordering direct off of the menu does not float your boat you can make your own drink for $ 6.00 by choosing a base, 3 items and a kicker. If you are not a fan of juice in morning you can order acai and/or pitaya bowls, frozen yogurt, hot drinks, cold drinks, salads, wraps or Panini’s. While I was visiting this location I discovered the juice bar is owned by two physicians who are doing their best to ensure the local community has healthy options. If you are heading to Petco Park for a Padres game Myxologie is literally within walking distance. I really dug the layout of this establishment. You have nice seating inside and out with lots of windows for a proper amount of natural light without blasting the customers with ‘operation sunburn.’ You can swing by this location have breakfast and enjoy flat screen televisions. I found the staff working during my visit to be extremely friendly, helpful & knowledgeable about their product. Without question on my next visit to San Diego I will be swinging by.
