I got the truffle porcini pizza. While it had a nice flavor, I can’t say that it was the best pizza I’ve ever eaten. It was also a little too oily for my taste. And for $ 5.75 a piece, I’m not sure that it was worth it.

Absolutely fantastic pizza. Eco conscious, flavorful, locally grown ingredients. I can’t praise this spot enough. Absolutely delicious, healthy food and friendly staff. Parking is a hassle, but so well worth the effort!

This is my favorite pizza place in San Diego! It’s got a great atmosphere and crew is very friendly. My favorites are the truffle porcini and the pollo e pesto… delicious! My 8 year old son likes the pepperoni and the Bapo(Mmm…bacon)! If you aren’t in the mood for pizza, try their salads. I love the new quinoa & salmon salad. It’s very refreshing and filling. The tahini dressing they make there is outstanding! They have a great beer selection and yummy desserts! Love me some Napizza Hope they open up in Orange County soon!

Napizza just brought the pizza game to the next level! We tried couple slices which I sadly don’t remember their names but it was a very delicious. The crust was crispy yet fluffy, similar to a focaccia. The toppings were simple yet done really well. Setup is a bit different — you order slices on one side of the resto and then pay on the otherside by the drinks. If you come in through the Washington side, you’ll have to go around to order. Anyways, pizza was excellent and so was the canoli we tried! We’ll definitely be back to try the other toppings they offer and maybe a different dessert too.

For once I didn’t feel too bad after eating pizza! I loved the ambiance of the store as it was full of windows, bright, airy, and uniquely decorated with pizza boxes. When observing the menu, the owner asked if it was our first time there, we said yes, and he proceeded to tell us all the pizza options and helped us navigate what to order. Also, he told us that the pizza dough and everything was freshly made, with the flour imported from Italy, and all the ingredients were locally sourced. Pizza that’s fresh, authentic, yet made with local ingredients? Yay! Don’t mind if I do. I got Happy Belly Slice which was 1 pizza, soup or salad, and a fountain drink for $ 11. I got the pollo e pesto which had chicken, cherry tomatoes, goat cheese, and homemade pesto. I also got the house salad which even though was a side salad, was a generous portion with carrots, cherry tomatoes, feta cheese, and in house specialty balsamic dressing. I usually don’t drink beverages or soda but since the combo came with it, I tried their sodas. One thing that stood out was that the drinks were all made with fair trade certified organic cane juice. I was very impressed because it’s hard for foods to be fair trade certified and so that was really cool that not only was it organic, but fair trade certified as well. All their pizzas honestly looked delicious, and I also tried the Bapo which was potato and bacon, and the potato was baked and gave it was delicious, velvety rich taste. You can also see the workers tossing fresh dough in the back. The pizza was not heavy at all and I felt full and contently satisfied. Being one that’s pretty picky with pizza, this is a place to definitely to check out!

Lots of parking, better than average soda fountain, and gluten-free pizza available. My biggest complaint is they’re a little on the pricey side for two slices and a drink and I wish they offered more than just two options for gluten-free by-the-slice offerings.

I am really sad to write this review. I have eaten at this place probably 2 times at the location and now have had them deliver pizza twice. First time delivery was on time but pizza was cold on arrival. Delivery driver even specified«Oh you probably will want to warm them up before eating» um… the whole point that I ordered pizza was so I didn’t have to cook! Just had our second delivery experience, driver got lost even though our address was correct. Then called and was outside the wrong house on the street. Was quoted 35 mins for delivery. Pizza arrived just over an hour after we called. Pizza was cold. Again. Cmon man. This location has issues and I am bummed out. I was SO excited when NaPizza opened up in Hillcrest and now I am pretty depressed that it seems like a shadow of its Little Italy location. Edit: One of the peeps over at Napizza were incredibly prompt in contacting me to apologize and I will be trying them out again soon. I really appreciate their fast response and it shows they really care. I’ll be updating my review soon hopefully with a better experience!

Their saving grace was a wonderful Belgian White beer. #yummy A $ 12 ahi salad was filling. A $ 9 panini didn’t come with sides. I would have appreciated a pasta salad or chips with the sandwich, but I’ll live. It was good but I might not come back. Well, maybe for the Belgian.

Fresh off of a hangover, nothing in the world sounded better than pizza. That’s how we ended up at Napizza on our trip to San Diego. Probably the best restaurant decision we made the entire trip. They serve Roman style pizza, so I was having flashbacks to my college semester abroad the entire time we were there. The one pizza you must try here is the truffle porcini pizza. It’s the best!

Certified Green Restaurant. Local and Healthy. Well done Napizza! This place is a well thought out business and menu! The ingredients come from local farms, Antibiotics & Hormone free. The fish is wild caught. The dough takes 72 Hrs to rise. They have Main Root handcrafted soda. I like the foamy Root beer. We ordered the Happy Belly Slice. I know I had a Spice Me Up and I forgot the name of the others. Just check out my pics and that’s what we ordered. I loved the Chandelier so we sat there and I like how their table numbers had tidbits of trivia on them. If you want to up your pizza game. Come here and you can also build your own salad. Their menu shows you the benefits of each ingredients. Clever Napizza you’re so hip!

I love this place! We have been a few times now but the highlight is my latest visit when I brought a group of friends for my birthday. I called a couple days before to reserve the outdoor fire pit and the manager Tommy could not have been more helpful! When we arrived the evening of my birthday the staff was great and made sure we had the space we requested. In addition to their great service, the pizza is AWESOME! The Bapo is my all time favorite but every pizza I have tried is yummy. I feel like they use higher quality ingredients than your average pizza place but the price is still very reasonable for the amount of food you get. The wine belly is my go to special…1 slice + 1 salad + 1 glass of wine for $ 15. My husband is a fan of the beer belly special…2 slices + 1 craft beer for $ 15. All around great place and great addition to the Uptown center! We will be back and will bring friends!

Oh wow! For the 1st time in a long time I didn’t read anything about this place before going! My girlfriend said were going out for pizza next week with friends and I said sure. I want this pizza once a week at least! All other nights I want their salad! I didn’t try a salad tonight but man they looked good! They were huge too! I ordered the happy beer belly which was 2 pizza slices and a beer for $ 15. Not a bad deal at all since 2 beers were $ 12.50. The pizza slices are huge and they cut them in half which was perfect so my girlfriend and I could try 4 different pizzas! Love the atmosphere, awesome freshly made food, wonderful service, and good beer selection!

One of the highlights of my trip to San Diego! Yeah we may have been wasted when we stumbled in here after some drinks at the bars across the street but I still remember how good this pizza was. I was skeptical at first… how long has this pizza thats about to be reheated actually been sitting here? Not sure, but when they brought it to me, holy moly it was good. Lasagna pizza is a creature Ive never seen, heard of, or tasted but it was outstanding. Maybe it was the flavorful bolognese sauce? The olive oil blanketed crispy crust? The cheese? All the flavors and textures mingled together perfectly. The girl that brought us our pizzas chatted us up telling us about the place and I so wish they existed up here in the Northeast.

What can I say… who does not love pizza!!! Except the pizza here(handmade. All natural. Less gluten) takes the prize!!! So much flavor and cut perfectly for bit size quickness in your mouth! Must get * margherita– if you love the basic classic tissue and olive fresh basil taste this is your best bet. * Bapo– it has bacon, come on. It must be delicious * Pollo e pesto– the kicker is the goat cheese. I just love that taste, oh and combine that with pesto, incredible *veggy me– vegetarian obviously. It was still full of flavor but I love that it is veggies locally grown *truffle porcini– my favorite. Are you kidding, so much class and bond flavors that burst into a party with every bite. You can really taste the truffle and the mushrooms are generous portions on the pizza. And… What if you’re like… Pizza is not my thang, well let me tell you they have build your own salads or set salad which I am in love with SUPERFOod Me. It is a mix of greens, kale, quinoa, walnuts, avocados, Apple’s, basil, with wild caught salmon. And if you’re like… No, no I’m not into salad either than dessert must be your answer! 3 syllables Tire*Mi*Su. Enough said :) enjoy I will be back and I must try the *nutella pizza*

Ahhh, Napizza ! This place has some bomb and very unique pizzas. I work in the same shopping center when this pizza joint opened up brand new. Finally after weeks or over-hearing how great this place was I decided to give it a try … And let me tell you. I was not disappointed ! I’ve had a few different pizzas here. The Hawaiian, Bapo, margherita, and more… But nothing beats the TRUFFLEPORCINI !!! Omg the truffle porcini is one of the best pizzas I’ve ever tasted !! I can’t even describe it in words, you just need to taste it for yourselves ! Overall, the place is great for a quick lunch or snack. The unique pizzas is what puts them on the higher side of the ranking scale. Thumbs up for gluten free and handmade/homemade pizzas. Only complaint would be the slice size and pricing. I feel like I could eat like 6 of the slices they serve ! I wish the slices would be a bit bigger for the price. Nonetheless, I always find myself back here for my lunch breaks !

Even though there have been times when I haven’t been happy with a slice of pizza that I marked as one of the BEST pizza slices I’ve had and the perfect crust to match. I heard about this place through a fellow Unilocaler and his review was really good(Thank you, Jack M.) I ordered the two piece combo special which is perfect for me and fills me up. I chose the Bolognese slice and the Parmigiana slice. My favorite was the Bolognese slice. The second slice was a different slice that I did not order. I ended up with one slice of pizza. I was really disappointed but I am not lowering the stars I give. This is just an update. I am always happy with this location. They have a lot unique menu selections that sound really good that I would like to try too. But it’s hard leaving here without ordering a slice of pizza or two.

Stopped by on our way back home after grocery stopping at Ralphs and Trader Joe’s. I’ve seen Napizza receive tons of good reviews at their Little Italy location and now at their Hillcrest location. We didn’t know you could only order by the slice. They had about 7 – 8 different types of pizza that ranged from meats, to only cheese, vegetarian, and gluten free. The gluten free one had flies swarming around it and neither of us have a gluten intolerance, so we passed on that pizza. We ordered the happy belly combo: slice of pizza + salad + soda for $ 11. Boyfriend ordered the Truffle Mushroom vegetarian pizza, per recommendation of the worker. I ordered the Pollo e Pesto, also recommended by the worker. We both ordered a side caesar salad. First, the caesar salad was good, but it wasn’t great. The salad consisted of mostly spines from leaves of lettuce, not super appealing. The dressing was good, but nothing amazing. Second, pizzas were good, but not impressive. They had a sign that said«Voted Best Pizza 2015», and I would not agree that this is the BEST pizza we’ve ever had. It’s not my preference to go to a pizza place and order pizza that was previously cooked to have it recooked/heated up. I saw that on the tables, they talk a lot about why their dough is so special, but to the average, untrained mouth, it didn’t feel incredibly different than other pizza doughs I’ve experienced. So to us regular foodies, if we can’t tell the difference, what makes us prefer one over the other, you know? One thing I do love and want to mention is that the restaurant really prides itself in being as waste-free as possible. They’re big about where they get their ingredients for their food(as local as possible) and about recycling and doing more for the planet. I wish more companies had similar initiatives.

«Spice Me Up» — For the Win!!! Seriously don’t know who their meat supplier is, but they’re phenomenal! The sausage on that pizza is the best I’ve had in my life! Seriously! And I’m old! Lol! Then take their 72-hour-made pizza crust, combined with all their good toppings… Out of this world dough! So tender, but firm enough to stand up to toppings. And so tasty, with crunch here and there. We tried a trio of Spice Me Up, Margherita, & Pepperoni. Each one has its own special taste. Love it love it love it! Pricy but oh, so worth it! Can’t wait to go back!

I walked in here on a Wednesday lunch break and was greeted by a very enthusiastic employee. I told her it was my first time there and she gave me the full run down of what everything was and what her favorite pizzas were. I thought this was a great welcome to a restaurant and definitely helped me decide on what to get. She explained that all of their ingredients come from less than 400 miles away, which is a big deal. I believe it, as the flavor was great. I tried two pizzas, which were kinda pricey for the size, but very delicious. The pesto that they added on top was delightful and nutty. The other pizza that I had with potato on top was something different that I never thought of in a pizza. Overall, this place is an awesome alternative to the greasy pizza at most other places. It was fast, friendly, and overall enjoyable. I will be back.

This place is GOOD! When you come here, you have to remember that they not only make great pizza, but some great salads and sandwiches as well. I’ve eaten at the Little Italy location several times with great results, and I was very pleased with my experience at this new location in Hillcrest. I had to have the best of both worlds, so I went for the Natural Angus Salad made form New York Steak, and a slice of their spicy sausage pizza, called the Spice Me Up! The salad was $ 11.95 and the pizza slice $ 4.75. The salad, although a little heavy on the Homemade Teriyaki Dressing, was terrific. The combination of mixed green were great, and abundance of blue cheese was heavenly. I loved the toast panini crostini that came with the salad. I did not know it came with the salad, so it was a pleasant surprise. The bread not only had great flavor, but a wonderful texture as well. The golden raisins were a great addition with their mild sweet flavor and chewiness, they went very well with the salty and aggressive nature of the blue cheese. The New York steak was no doubt the star of the salad. I asked if they could prepared it no more than medium and they hit it right on the money. The steak was a medium thin slice, was very tender, and had a nice pink center. Also, they marinated and seasoned it very well. I was very pleased with the meat. The avocado, tomatoes, and walnuts were a all great. It was certainly and elevated«Steak House» salad. The Spice me up, was well, spicy. They nestled fresh cut jalapenos under the cheese and there seemed to be one in every bite. Ouch indeed! The pizza sausage was great. It had a mild heard flavor and was very tender. The Mozzi was fresh and the roasted peppers were a perfect al dente. They still had a nice crunch and packed with flavor. The crust of their pizza is a unique one. It is light but thick, with almost a fluffy appeal. Best of all, it tasted great! I am so happy that I can enjoy all types of crust on pizzas. I say a little easy on the dressing with salad next time, because some of my salad at the bottom was swimming in bowl. Other than that, great food and great service.
