First time here! I’m craving for a healthy juice I always come here to Nektar and order my favorite drink the«Toxin Flush» with added ice and chia seeds. It has Apple, spinach, parsley, lemon and ginger in it! It’s more towards the sweet side because of the apple that’s being juiced in it. The chia seeds really just finishes the drink off in a splendid way. I love this drink!

I love his place. It’s becoming my alternative to Starbucks. I always order the Health Nut smoothie with almond butter and extra agave after a morning run and love it. Customer service is great as well. I’ve left my wallet home before and a heat manager named Chad totally hooked me up for free!

Nekter is definitely the healthier version of Jamba Juice! When you look at the menu, it’s all healthy drinks with veggies or straight fruits. They don’t serve their drinks with milk, but instead replace it with cashew milk.

With three juice(smoothie) bars off Del Mar Heights, Nekter provides the best overall juice option based on affordability and convenience. The Greenie Juice(Signature drink) Parsley, spinach, kale, celery, cucumber, lemon, and apple. I’ve made hundreds of my own green juices over the past few years and I would say that this tastes just like mine. If you’re thinking about starting up your own juice program at home, you should try this drink here. Maybe you’ll like it, maybe you wont. One thing of note was they asked if I wanted ice in mine. I said no because I didn’t want something mostly ice, not juice. In hindsight, juice is not that good at room temperature. So I’ll choose ice next time. — 3.5 stars because Vitality Tap offers something different and elite. Plus VT has Kombucha. — Weird that Jamba Juice didn’t sign a non-compete agreement with this shopping center.

I love Nekter, the juices, the cleanses and of course the delicious acai bowls. This location is a bit on the smaller size compared to La Jolla and Carlsbad but the product served is essentially the same. My go to at this place is the PB bowl, it is freaking delicious, also some of the smoothies are pretty good, just sub the cashew milk with apple juice and you can think me later… Overall, a nice juice place and a welcome addition to Carmel Valley. Pros– Juices Acai bowls Healthy alternative 2 day cleanses Service Location Cons– Parking is terrible Not a lot of seating Spatially small

I’ve returned to Nekter and had a better experience than my first time, although I still think the customer service could use a little work. I just find it odd that you walk in the store and no one is at the front counter to greet you. I end up standing their awkwardly for a couple of minutes, debating whether I should wait or leave. But once I manage to place my order, things are better. Although I was tempted to get an acai bowl again, I decided to try one of the smoothies instead. I chose the Berry Banana Burst and thought it was delicious. Perfect amount of sweetness and the 16 oz was just the right amount for a mid-morning snack. I loved Nekter’s small patio, which is both shaded in the morning/early afternoon and dog friendly. My dogs felt like celebrities with how much attention they were getting as we sat there and talked with a friend for a couple of hours.

A little disappointed in the bowl. Wish more time was taken to have all the fruit chopped and strawberry stems removed. Usually takes about 15 minutes on a not too busy day

Favorite Juice Bar. Favorite People… Best location. Easy to roll in, grab my favorite juice(Greeny) and be on my way. Product… Fresh quality. Customer service… Always on it. So great to have a local juice bar in our neighborhood. Thanks to the crew who makes NEKTER my go to in the mornings. Amazing juice, always good people, always satisfied. My two favorites… «THEGREEN», and the«CURE». My two other favorites… Surfer blond kid in the AM. Tall handsome tall guy in the PM. Thanks you TWO for making my juice amazing. My Del Mar GOTO for sure.

I am not a juice connoisseur but this place is not bad, I got my fiber of the day from whatever green drink they made for me. Tasted like it can delay my heart attack for a few days, I can drink one a day and live forever. Hours are weird… they take breaks in the middle of the day. Why??? This is MerCa!

I love acai bowls. I tried their Acai Banana Berry bowl for the first time recently. This comes with blended acai, strawberries, banana, blueberries, granola, and agave syrup. Although I thought it tasted pretty good, the blended acai was way too liquidy. After a few bites, I felt like I was having soup. I even put the bowl in the freezer for 30 minutes, and it was a little bit better, but still got runny soon after. I’ll definitely try another type of their acai bowl soon before summer ends. Maybe I just got a runny batch this time. I’ll update this review if the next acai bowl I get is better.

There vanilla date smoothie is spectacular. The bits of dates add a nice texture to the smoothie which has a natural sweet taste. The watermelon cooler/refresher is not what I expected. When I fist asked if I wanted ice I had no and thought it would come out with a slurpee texture. Instead it was a cold pressed juice with a hint of mint and overall was refreshing. The second time I ordered it I asked for my dismay it was the same juice but with ice cubes, I will always opt for their smoothies now. The acai bowl was good and I really enjoyed the granola. They use unsweetened acai and again has a refreshing coolness. Service was average and all food takes longer to prepare then expected.

After a hike at the beach, this is the best place for a refreshing acai bowl and smoothie! My favorite is the PB Bowl. Just wish there was more seating and a few inside as the sun is always beaming down in Del Mar! The staff are friendly and very hard working. I’ll be back for sure when in the area and need a healthy option for breakfast or lunch.

I’m a sucker for places like this, especially acai bowls and healthy smoothies. Nektar doesn’t disappoint, with several different smoothie options and some great acai. The prices are pretty high based on the ingredients, but the convenience factors in for sure. Location is in a shopping center right off of Del Mar Heights and El Camino Real. If you’re looking for a healthy lunch check this place out.

It’s unfortunate Unilocal doesn’t allow for zero stars because this particular store would certainly qualify for it. I think I’ll start a new list of the«worst of the worst» and put this Nektar store at the top. I’ve had some regrettable experiences at this store but my cravings got the better of me today and I stopped in for my favorite banana berry bowl. After I ordered, I noticed the price had gone up! They have raised their prices 8% and I don’t even think they have been here a year! Certainly inflation/cost of living hasn’t risen by 8%. I shop at the nearby Ralphs and their fruits haven’t gone up at all in the past year. So why the sudden increase? Well, I would be willing to shrug off the price increase… that is until I received the acai bowl. Not only have they raised the prices, but they have dramatically decreased the amount of fruit that goes into the bowl. And just so someone doesn’t think this is just my opinion, I have posted two pictures. One from the bowl I bought last month and the one I bought today. The difference is unmistakable and not slight. I said I wouldn’t come back here and it was my fault for going back. However, I will not make that mistake again. There are TOO many other places that make great acai bowls close by that I don’t need to rely upon them. To the people of Nektar, I can deal with the rise in price, but when you raise prices and lower your quality,… well, let’s hope for the closing of this store!

I want to start by saying the only reason I’m giving Nekter four stars is because it’s a lot less expensive than other juice bars. Beaming is my favorite & their 16oz drinks are literally double the price. With that said I thought their juice was pretty good. I got the tropical cooler smoothie. I’m usually more of a juice drinker(since they tend to be healthier than smoothies) buy this one was coconut water based and still low calorie. I thought it was good but not great. I could taste the pineapple but it didn’t mask the kale as much as I had hoped. My boyfriend got the berry smoothie and I didn’t really care for it. They had a raspberry cold pressed juice in the cooler that I missed. It sounded terrific so I think I might try that next time. I really wish they had mint in their juices. I love the taste of mint and it helps mask kale and other veggies.

Ive heard of this place before and I know its supposively really healthy for you. So I decided to check out their new shop in Del Mar and for someone like myself who has no clue what to get or what it even taste like, had me running around like a chicken with its head cut off. I asked the girl at the counter what most people get that I would most likely like, and she recommended me this ginger juice that is great for cleansing your toxins and what not. I was a little iffy about it, but since she worked there and knew it was my first time I said, «what worst can happen?» I got my green looking ginger juice and took my first sip…“YUCK!“ The ginger over powered the whole juice and that’s all I could taste. I asked for another juice and they refused me. I was running late for work and had no time to argue with these girls behind the counter. Overall, be careful on what you order. I feel that these girls have no idea how to grab a customers business b.c. they can’t even recommend a good juice that would be tasty. Also, they did not fix the problem when I told them what I thought of the gingery juice.

I love this place! My coworker introduced me to this place and I’ve been in love ever since. The smoothies taste super fresh and real. Just standing in the store it smells super healthy and refreshing in here. It does take a little bit to get your drinks compared to Jamba Juice but I think its worth the wait here at Nekter. Today, I got the pink flamingo and I am savoring every sip. I can’t wait to try the rest of the menu!!!

Best juice in town! I was looking for an alternative to Starbucks and Coffee Bean. and this hit the spot as I am trying to lay low on the caffeine. I found it researching places on Unilocal and I’m glad I tried it. Previously I’ve done Robek’s Juice and Jamba Juice, but this is definitely so much better! Back then maybe a year ago I would use my ninja blender to make smoothies using veggies and fruits, but when you’re on the go sometimes there is just no time. so Nekter Juice Bar is so convenient! Their drinks taste clean and refreshing I’m hooked. The key to coming here is patience. Sometimes when I feel the wait is long. I always think to myself this place is worth the wait, it’s that good :) I’ve been going for 2 weeks straight now and the first drink I tried was the«toxin flush» which is really healthy and recommended by the worker. I then recently have been getting the limited edition«Valentine’s Date Nut» which is simply similar to regular«Date Nut». Also I’ve tried the Protein Grab N Go drinks and overall I am hooked! I have recently been doing the two for $ 10 deal, but just bought my first Nekter tumblr and hope to use it one day as it gives a 50 cent discount on refills and a free 16 oz drink when purchased. I recently went to another location(Carmel Mountain) and had spoken with Elle today how they didn’t have the same promo(in Carmel Mtn) there this past Sunday and I was curious if each location was different(Bc I remember the promo from Carmel Valley location) She informed me that her boss was there and she would let him now. Then shortly after, the district manager(Jeff), whom happened to be there today, came out of his way to speak with me which was very nice and unexpected. as he was apologetic and very genuine and friendly at the same time explaining a change in their promo as they decided to extend it to this month as well. Elle is super sweet and easy going so it’s nice talking to her when she’s there! I am a fan as the workers are pretty good at acknowledging customers(good service) and the drinks are healthy and tasty which is super satisfying!

How ironic is it that I found this place while stopping at Jimbo’s right next door for freshly squeezed veggie juice. I was happily sipping my 16oz Alive Green in my car when Nektar’s logo bright logo jumped out at my in the parking lot(well, to be honest, I was checking out Carnitas Snack Shack right next to Nektar and wondering what fried item I’d get if I wasn’t trying to be healthy). I came back later today as there wasn’t any info on this location. The company’s website made me feel the locations only sold their series of Cleanse program juices. So I was happy to discover that this place is kinda like a healthy Jamba Juice and a more affordable Whole Foods/Jimbo’s Juice bar. No joke. The 16oz Greenie drink I bought was only $ 4.95(compare that to $ 7.95 for the 16 oz similar drink I just bought from Jimbo’s earlier that morning). The Greenie drink had parsley, spinach, kale, celery, cucumber, lemon and apple. I opted out of the apple in lieu of extra lemon. The drinks are made in the back where you can ‘kinda’ see someone stuffing the fresh veggies into a blender. The ‘kitchen’ isn’t open like Jamba or Jimbo’s. The Greenie tasted pretty good. I appreciated how the cashier asked if I wanted the drink with ice. Don’t forget the juices usually come out room temperature. I will so be back for their Make Your Own Blend option: choose base(carrot, orange, celery, apple) and add any(or is there max limit?) of these(kale, spinach, parsley, ginger, lemon, cucumber, beets, broccoli, grapes And I’m looking at the pic again I took of the prices for their fresh juices: 16 oz $ 4.95 24 oz $ 6.95 32 oz $ 8.95 REALLY reasonable. Seriously. They also have a variety of smoothies and acai bowls. So curious to see other Unilocalers future reviews about these items. Cute quaint location and the cashier was incredibly friendly & knowledgeable. Glad to see them in this strip mall.

I’m so thrilled this location opened up in my neighborhood. I’ve been obsessed with the«pink flamingo» ever since my bestie introduced it to me at other locations… so excited I can snag it so close to home. It’s the perfect lunch break. The location is super small and already super popular so be prepared for busy hours. It also takes awhile for your juices and bowls, but fresh good food is worth waiting for. The acai bowls are generous in size, the tropical is a nice change from the norm. I’ll be the duchess of this joint in no time.
