I don’t want to leave a review only because it should be a secret. Though, not a secret for OB residents, I love this place. #2 on an everything. And if it’s a good day, your order comes with an extra treat… donut holes ;) just because. It’s good, cheap, quick and super satisfying. Since moving away, we make time for it whenever we visit. (Side note, it’s cash only. AND I saw a cronut in the donut window… will have to try next time;)

I have so missed all the California donut shops, and this one is great! Fresh, clean, delicious donuts, croissants, and breakfast sandwiches! Just keep in mind they only take cash! They are also very fast!

The BEST donuts ever. Great owners — friendly and generous. I had my morning coffee there with an apple fritter. My mouth waters just thinking about it. I stopped back at 4:15 in the afternoon for another cup of joe and to take an apple fritter home for evening sweet if there were any left. I bought that and a coffee roll and the owner threw in an extra donut since it was close to closing time. They still tasted fresh and delicious. I can’t wait to return.

This place is SO good! Great bagel sandwiches, croissant sandwiches, their chocolate cake donut was so fresh and smooth like pudding cake! Their coffee is fresh and smooth, they have a great kona coffee. Can’t wait to come back!

This place is great. I’ve been here countless times the Doughnuts are good along w their breakfast sandwiches. Not something I’d kill for, but it’s always satisfying.
However the downside is that this place is CASH ONLY! So bring those dolla dolla bills yall!

Best donuts in the world. Sounds like an overstatement? It’s not. Been locally family owned for as long as I remember. Breakfast sandwiches are very good as well. I always get the number 2 and cover it in sriracha. Hope this place is here forever!!!

pretty awesome spot! They have a fairly limited selection, but it’s a small shop, so that makes sense. I’ve picked up doughnuts for work a few times from this shop, because my coworkers love them. It’s nice to buy doughnuts from a local independent spot instead of a chain. Super tasty and pretty cheap! Just take note that it’s cash only.

Will not be eating Krispy Kreme anytime soon. I couldn’t believe how delicious they were and how the different types of doughnuts actually tasted different. Loved it will be back soon!

They are SO nice, and friendly here. I had a croissant with egg, cheese, and tomatoe. Delicious! Earl grey tea, and split a doughnut w/​my boyfriend. Fresh, and tastey. Seems really clean in here too. 4 tables and chairs inside and outside seating. Prices are good!

I came in here and sat down to actually talk business with someone with out purchasing anything until I left. I got a naked juice, #1 croissant, and 3 cronuts (croissant/​doughnut). I’ve had cronuts at many places in San Diego, and these by far are the best in San Diego.

My hubs and I rarely eat donuts but today we woke up craving some! Thankfully we remembered that there is a donut shop less than a mile from us. My hubs went down andgrabbed us some donuts. There wasn’t too big of selection even though it was only 8am. What they did have though was 1 maple donut with a slice of bacon top. Now, that was simply amazing!!! Too bad I had to share it with my dude. The rest of the donuts were good. I really liked the bavarian crème donuts. Very delicious. Everything was fresh! 2 thumbs up from 2 fluffy foodies.

I showed up at about 4:55am as the sign says that they open at 5am. Waited outside the door with a few of the faithful until almost 5:10, until doors were opened & tables taken out & put outside.
I ordered a dozen — a mix of cruelllers, buttermilk, and raised donuts. It has truly been a long time since I’ve tasted a donut (or three) so fresh. The raised donuts had just a hint of fry crispiness, but no sogginess. The maple bacon bar was outasite! The buttermilk donuts were fab, & the crueler was super fresh & tasty. I also tried to order bagels but they weren’t ready yet. What kind of service are you looking for at 5am? As far as I’m concerned, I don’t need any fluff that early in the AM, and I certainly didn’t get any.
I would return in a moment. I’m a sucker for great donuts and a surly donut maker.

Amazing donuts! So cheap and so good! Had an apple fritter, plain glazed and maple cinnamon bear claw. All were fantastic and total was under $ 4. So glad we happened upon this place! Doesn’t look like much from the outside but go in– you won’t be disappointed!

I have never been a donut girl but living so close to this place has completely changed me! I visit at least once a week to get the delicious treats and I am always happy with my selection! If you are hungry and want a place for something yummy to eat definitely try this location. CASH ONLY **
The price is right and the workers are always so kind and will always remember you if you come in on a regular basis. Get there early though! All the good stuff is gone by 10 am ;)

Been coming here since I was a littlun’ and it’s always been the same… family owned, cheap, and simply awesome.
Their doughnuts are fresh and fluffay and make me happay! Croissants are also good… but not as great as some. ;)
Breakfast sandwiches are great as other peeps have stated… but…- hold on! Don’t let the lil muffins in the corner get overlooked… they are seriously the best muffins I’ve ever had (and I’m not a muffin person).
This is one of the tastiest OB staples… if you drive by this place without giving it a second look, you be silly!

I was in the mood for a really good Bagel with Smoked Salmon and a friend of mine at work told me about this Donut Shop in OB that makes some really outstanding LOX.
Anyways, I came here on a cold rainy Thursday morning, and ordered the ULTIMATE LOX. The dish had Smoked Salmon, Cream Cheese, thinly sliced Red Onions, Tomatoes, Capers and was served on a Bagel of your choice… I chose the Everything Bagel (cause that’s my favorite.)
My take: This was one of the BEST LOX’s I’ve ever had. The flavors worked really well together and they didn’t go skimpy… this was a pretty good sized meal. As for the service… the people that work here are extremely polite and I got my bagel pretty quick.
That being said, I’m gonna come back soon to try out some of the rest of the Bagel Menu… and maybe buy some donuts in the process.
