Had the buffalo fried chicken appetizer and short rib pappardelle during Restaurant Week. Both dishes were adequate, but nothing special. The pappardelle was nicely portioned and presented, but tasted bland. The cocktails were the most disappointing, as they were smaller in size and watered down.

I thoroughly enjoyed this place. I’d never heard of it, but friends found it on the restaurant week list so we gave it a try. Very cool place. I’m not typically a Cohn restaurant fan. They do a great job with décor in all their venues, but I almost always feel food comes 2nd with them. No so this place. I had the fried chicken and mashed taters and they were excellent. The chopped salad was great as well. The blood orange panna cotta was absolutely amazing and I’m not a dessert guy. The only disappointment was my Hendricks and grapefruit cocktail with basil. Not that it wasn’t excellent, it was simply really small. The glass reminded me of one of the old fashioned wine glasses from the 50’s that maybe holds 3 ozs. I like my liquor super sized, say big gulp portions. We’ll definitely be back.

Uh-mazing! Great tasting food, Outstanding service, and fantastic atmosphere. Everything was just on point! It’s San Diego Restaurant week and the family & I decided to try OB Warehouse. It was our 1st time here and we couldn’t have been more pleased. We had the calamari, filet, triple crown flatbread, & the bittersweet chocolate cake. The calamari is made kung pow style that makes it tangy & slightly sweet. It’s so good and different from any other way I’ve ever had calamari. The main dish Filet Friters is delectable as well. It’s 3 medallion topped with mushroom sauce and a side of fries. It was cooked perfectly. I won’t go into detail about the dishes but know that everything we ordered was delicious. No complaints. The waiter was unbelievable! He explained some of the items from the menu to us, he was sweet, and attentative. This place is soo cool. The vibe is awesome. It’s great to go with a big group and socialize, perfect for family with kids, or even a romantic dinner, or solo. I mean this place is diverse. It’s welcoming and just an awesome place to enjoy great tasting food & drinks.

I came here on a Tuesday night and they happened to have a special date night menu. We decided to just go with that. We picked a salad and a few small entrees to share, as well as a bottle of wine to share. The beet salad was actually pretty good, but the entrees were not. I remember them being kind of dry and bland. The tables for two were also arranged uncomfortably close to each other– we were basically sitting right next to another couple within elbows length. Everything else was ok though.

I came here for Sunday brunch with a friend and was seated in the upstairs back patio. The patio was nice but can get a little warm. I really liked the décor as it had an industrial chic vibe. I made my own Bloody Mary for $ 5 and it was bloody delicious! Their homemade classic mix was quite good and you can even request it spicy on a scale of 1 – 10. As for the food, we ordered the dirty fries and the slow braised carnitas sopes to share. The dirty fries were skinny fries topped with bacon, cilantro, 2 eggs over easy, and a creamy hollandaise sauce. Portion was a bit small but the flavors were great. The carnitas sopes was topped with cotija cheese, avocado, house-pickled lime onions, and cilantro. The house pickled lime onions added such a refreshing bite to the savory sope! The avocado was fresh and creamy. All the flavors complemented each other well. Also, did I mention they offer $ 2 mimosas or a bottle for $ 10? Yes please! :) Overall, it was a fun atmosphere with friendly staff and quality food. You can tell the ingredients are fresh and ripe.

This was my first time to Ocean Beach and if there are more restaurants like this over there, I will definitely make a point of venturing over more often. The atmosphere was very chill and eclectic decorations make the place one of a kind. I appreciated that they had a gluten free menu, though it was markedly smaller than the regular one. We did order the fried artichokes and I was not a fan of artichokes before tasting these, but after trying the tasty bites I may have been converted to team artichoke. Service was very good, our waiter helped us out when it started raining and water kept dripping on us because the roof was partially open to the outside. There’s a brewery next door so this could be the perfect dinner & drinks night out!

Came here for a celebration dinner with the fiancé on a Wednesday night. It was our first time and it was such a great experience! As soon as you walk in and climb the stairs, you are greeted with a modern warehouse feel with high ceilings and open windows as well as fun and playful décor all around you. We ended up getting Merguez Sausage flatbread with oven roasted tomato, feta cheese, mozzarella, and harissa and short rib pappardelle with red wine braised short rib, demi glacé, hemp infused compound butter, carrots, onions, and spinach. Oh so good! It was great to go back and forth between the two dishes — both so hearty and rich that put me in a deep food coma. Before I knew it, I was really stuffed and(sadly) had to pass on dessert. But fear not, I will definitely be back… if not for dessert but also for the following specials: — Daily Happy Hour: 4−6pm with food and drink specials with $ 2 off draft beers and $ 3 off specialty cocktails — Sunday suppers: $ 20 per person for a two course meal — Tuesday Date Night: $ 39 per couple comes with a salad to share, 3 shared plates, and a bottle of wine OR bucket of beers — Thursday: the opportunity to enjoy a modern spin on the TV dinner that includes a salisbury steak, veggies, green bean casserole, mashed potatoes, a small salad and brownie dessert.

It was date night with my wife and we wanted to try something new. OB is one of our favorite summer spots for the beach, burgers or pizza, or happy hours, but never thought of it as a place to enjoy quality food and a nice upscale atmosphere. Well that has changed. We decided on an early dinner so that we could enjoy a night of Christmas festivities later. Our reservations were for 5:45 but we showed up at 5:15. The hostess said no problem I’ll make a few changes and get you right in. Our first impression was good, the place is clean with a modern warehouse style décor with open ceilings. The weather was nice so they had the entire north wall windows open to view the main drag and a nice ocean breeze. We started with a few of their cocktails, the«Workbench»…delicious! My wife had a second round while I opted to try the Sledgehammer, very good. For appetizers we shared the short rib skinny fries and some calamari, again delicious. For dinner my wife had the double bone-in pork chop, I wish I’d taken a picture of it, I immediately knew my food choice was a bad idea when I saw that pork chop! I ordered their classic burger(yeah I know, my wife gave me hell too), it was simply a good hamburger, you can’t really mess that up so I’m not going to go on about a burger. But back to that pork chop and the food I saw passing me on the way to other tables, holy cow! For dessert we shared their version of a S’more, it was very good, a unique twist with a nice presentation, one was plenty for us to share. On the way out we both agreed this will be «one of our spots», especially for guest who come in the summer and want a quality meal near a touristy type of location, and this place is sure to impress.

What a great addition to the OB area. I was in the area and came in around 4 pm, but they were only serving appetizers unfortunately but there were some great apps. My and buddy shared about 4 small plates including the«oysters», chipotle chicken flatbread, fried artichoke, as well as a plate of green peppers that were amazing. I also really liked the buttermilk deep fried«oysters.» The oysters are actually a specific part of the chicken that happens to be called the oysters. The environment is super cool and the servers were great as well. I’ll have to come back and try the full menu sometime.

What a beautiful restaurant! We happened upon it last night and the place was Monday-night empty. Thomas was our server and he was fantastic! Our rundown: Latin wine flight — Yes Hummus trio — Not a winner for us. Only actually one hummus, plus an edamame hummus(that lacked flavor), and kalamata olive tapenade(which was great). The pita was wonderful though! Chicken shawarma — The bf liked this plate, especially with mixed veggies subbed for fries, they were crispy and well-seasoned Farro salad — I wouldn’t order this again. The plate seemed small for a $ 10 salad and the proportion of farro to spinach was a bit off. The roasted tomatoes were the winner of the dish but once those were gone, it was seriously lacking flavor. Maybe adding another ingredient would help? Overall a great place that we will definitely try again. Would love to sample more things on the menu, the service was spot on, and the décor is unique and fun.

Hats off to the Cohn Restaurant Group for another smash hit! As I was saying to my boyfriend over Sunday brunch, they really know what they’re doing(and it’s not the mimosa talkin’ neither). This was the second time we brunched at OB Warehouse and it was good. We had the Croque Monsieur which was covered in detectible hollandaise sauce that had just the right creamy texture. One of my bacon slices needed to be cooked further, and it was taken care of with no problem. We’ve been dining at OB Warehouse from time to time since attending their grand opening. I love coming here! On their regular menu, my favorite is their chicharrones which are served with lime for you to squeeze on top(and hear it sizzle) and hot sauce on the side. They’re also part of the happy hour menu. Last year we happened upon their Oktoberfest specials and enjoyed a great sausage and cheese board, which we’ll be doing again this year(read: this week). Yum! Can’t wait! If you haven’t been, you’ll dig the Airstream pass-through for the kitchen, the contemporary, rustic décor and patio in the back. Cheers!

I stopped by OB Warehouse to take advantage of the tantalizing menu they offered up for restaurant week. I always like to try some place I’ve never been before for restaurant week since you get multiple courses to try out what they have to offer. I began my three course adventure with the Roasted Baby Beet Salad. This consisted of roasted red and golden beets with soft goat cheese atop a bed of greens, all topped off with a lemon dressing. The salad was fresh and delicious and the dressing offered a bit of a nice citrus bite. For the main event I opted for the Short Rib Pappardelle. The short ribs are served up in a reduction sauce with crunchy carrots and onions over pappardelle pasta. The veggies offered a nice contrast to the texture of the pasta and short ribs, and the sauce was wonderfully complex in flavors. To finish off my meal, I decided to go with the decadent Bacon and Bread Pudding. The bread pudding here is a little lighter than normal, which is great since it comes topped with two pieces of sweet and spicy bacon and a delicious vanilla sauce on the side. Needless to say, I was quite happy with my meal and was surprised by the generous portion sizes that were offered up with this pre fixe menu. Our waitress was also great, very attentive withought being overbarring. The only real opportunities for improvement that I noticed were increasing the frequency with which water glasses are refilled or possibly using larger glasses. I found myself trying to flag down the bus boys a couple times for a refill(I do drink more water than the average person though).

So even on a Saturday night at 7ish pm we were able to either wait 15 – 20 mins for a table, or grab one of the handful of empty chairs at the bar. We opted for the bar cuz I was hungry :) An amazing environment perfect for a first date(which this happened to be), even at the bar because the bartender, Michael, was fantastic. He had good recommendations and was extremely helpful with the details of the food and what is better. We ended up getting the fried artichoke hearts and they were VERY good — not greasy at all, however I’d prefer them not to be quite so lemony… the lemon flavor plus the lemon aioli was a bit much for me. I had the scallops over cous cous for my meal and the scallops were perfectly cooked and quite large. I got it without mushrooms, btw… The cous cous was fantastic too but mostly because all you could taste was garlic and TONS of butter. Really kind of unnecessary being that overwhelming, but it did taste good :) Overall a good experience.

What a transformation this place has become! I love the concept, the outdoors area and the customer service. Our server Luis was more than pleasant; he was courteous without being in our faces and upsold us on a bottle of mimosa versus just the glass for 2. I wanted to love the food, since the pictures and the reviews just made everything look so delicious. However we were a little disappointed. The local motion came out too greasy and though tasty, I wished they had been more generous with the sauce. I thought it lacking. My husband liked his chicken chilaquiles but it wasn’t as warm as he is used to in Mexico. There also wasn’t enough sauce in his opinion. For the price, we were hoping for more oomph but it just didn’t impress. Too many breakfast places in San Diego to be upset; overall, the décor is tasteful and innovative but the food is something I wish was better!

Really cool restaurant to hang out with a group of friends and/or family for drinks and dinner. Inside the restaurant has this cool, hip atmosphere. I dig the edison light bulbs around the place, and the vintage metal trailer that has windows for you to see inside OB Warehouse’s kitchen. My friends and I were there on a weekday around 6pm, and funk/soul James Brown type music was playing which was awesome to bounce to in our seats while we drank and chat. Our server was super friendly, always checking on us on how we are doing on drinks and if we need anything to go with the food we ordered. I must say, I’m in love with their Short Rib Pappardelle dish. The short ribs were tender, juicy and full of flavor. The egg noodles were perfectly cooked and it soaked in the short rib juices nicely along with the sauteed spinach, carrots and onions. I was happy that I couldn’t finish my food and took it home for leftovers. The next day, I nuked it in the microwave and the dish still tasted amazing.

I always appreciate the Cohn restaurants, I love both Vintana and 333 and I’m glad to see if they’ve put a nice yet casual restaurant in Ocean Beach. I maybe go to OB twice a year, I tend to spend most of my time in Little Italy and Gaslamp but some friends wanted to go to OB so I suggested the warehouse. I had told a coworker about it a few weeks back who checked it out for me and said it was good so I of course needed to come by myself. It’s nice inside, more of a upscale brewery and the food is good, not your typical fried bar food. We arrived a few minutes before happy hour ended so we were pleased to take advantage of $ 2 off cocktails, beer and food specials. I ordered the wood berry I think it was, a blueberry infused rum cocktail which was tasty and not too sugary and sweet, my friends enjoyed a few different beers. I wasn’t that hungry but how could you not stare down the menu in front on you and order something. I loved the shishito peppers, they were great and I got that one hot one in the bunch, they say every 1 in 9 sets your mouth on fire, whew! We also had the trio hummus with pita, all was good except I wasn’t a big fan off the olive one as I don’t really like olives. We also had the artichoke hearts and my friends shared the pork sopas which they said were fabulous. We had good service, it’s a clean environment and it had a decent crowd for a Friday on a Holiday weekend! Not sure if I’ll be back as I’m not out that way often but I will be checking out their sister restaurant, draft republic in utc as soon as I can!

I haven’t given out a really enthusiastic 5 stars to a restaurant in a while… but OB Warehouse really surprised me in a great way! Terrific service and even better food in a really cool environment and not super expensive. I recently was treated to an early birthday dinner here. From the start, the service was inviting, friendly and attentive. We loved all the details of the well-played out warehouse theme: industrial vintage wall décor, pipe fastener napkin rings, and the light blue woodworking towel placed under the candle. The craft cocktail list was impressive and we got a thorough assessment from our knowledgeable waiter before ordering. We got the«screws, nuts, and bolts»(a clever and frothy whiskey sour) and the«forklift»(kappa pisco, st. germain, orange juice, lychee purée). The drinks were refreshing and well balanced. There were also over 20 beers on tap, including a few on nitro. When we were reviewing the menu, I scanned Unilocal to preview photos of the dishes we were eyeballing and wasn’t too impressed… and then our actual food arrived and not only did the dishes look SO much better in real life but they were absolutely delicious and with big portions! We ordered the buttermilk fried chicken — battered«oysters»(the juicy nugget of meat that pops out of the chicken thigh) with a housemade slightly spicy buffalo sauce and blue cheese dressing, shishito peppers, and pickled relish with freshly cut corn off the cob. The short rib pappardelle was pretty massive(wine braised short rib, demi glacé, hemp infused compound butter, carrots, onions, spinach) and I would definitely recommend it! I enjoyed the deconstructed turkey pot pie which had juicy slices of turkey, seared brussel sprouts, in an «au jus» style gravy that made the whole thing like a warm comforting bowl of stew. I thought that Bo-Beau was the only good member of the Cohn Restaurant Group… but I now can put OB Warehouse at the top of my list! It definitely lives up to the hype.

As soon as I heard Ob Warehouse was opened for brunch, well I no doubt made my way to Ocean Beach lickety split. I ordered the Shredded Chicken Chiliquilas topped with fluffy scrambled eggs and an iced cold draft beer. The chiliquilas were great. In fact, I was quite impress with the Mexican flare OB Warehouse’s chef put on their menu. The scrambled eggs were very well prepared, fluffy, and lightly seasoned. The tender shredded chicken was on the money with its moistness and I really like the way it soaked up the tomato and chili pepper sauce, which resulted in great flavor. Talk about being impressed, because the most impressive item on the plate was the savory tortilla strips. They not only tasted great, being sauteed in hot tomato chili sauce and well seasoned, but they remained crispy through the plate and duration of the meal. I do not encounter this often, so my hat goes off the chef for such an accomplishment. I ate at the bar, and my female bar keep was great. She was attentive and very friendly. In fact, when I commented that I wish the chiliquilas came with more sliced avocado, the next thing I knew, I had a small plate filled with sliced avocado! Great service…
