If you are looking to eat on the run, as I often do, this is a good spot to grab a quick sandwich that is different from the crowd. I am not completely on the«Organic» bandwagon but the meal I had was pretty tasty. Again, you pay a little extra, but this will go a long way to getting more healthy options downtown.

What a disappointment. Expensive, small portions, strangely un-delicious and generally underwhelming. It especially annoys me how my order always gets made just a little wrong. The catering is terrible. I think this is just another case of the word«organic» being used inappropriately to imply«quality.» This is your stop only when you can’t be bothered to care or you’re time-challenged.

All I have to say is this: sometimes I’m in the mood for a flavorless sandwich that doesn’t involve a huge calorie commitment and i don’t want to wait around to have it made for me. Then Organic To Go gets the call. All other times, not so much. This is the«no bro”(north broadway) location, as supposed to the one that’s located in the basement of the symphony towers or the one across the street from the federal court house. It’s pretty funny watching a junior stockbroker type decide what to put on his salad bar salad. They certainly were savvy about the spaces they rented. The no bro Organic to Go is not nearly as crisply efficient/disturbingly cheerful as the court house location.

Hey you! It’s Organic! Umm soo… You idiot we can slap that label on and charge idiots downtown 8 bucks for a pre-made salad in a cooler. Umm wow, can I pay for water too? You got it sucker!

I’m not sure how to say this without sounding cynical. But I am a cynic and I ooze with self-righteousness What they’re doing here is a great step in the right direction. It’s wonderful for«normals» to be able to now jump on the bandwagon and start eating organic. Fuckin A. It could be a lot worse, right? Totally. But something irks me about franchising Organic. Like the standards will eventually get thrown right down the toilet. Organic living is mine and I made it up. I’ve been doing organic since you pussies were in diapers and even before then, I was the one wearing organic diapers. THISPLACEDOESN’T EVENBUYTHEIRPRODUCELOCALLY. What the fuck is that? I asked them that same question and they said that it came from Seattle and«Maybe some from LA» Huh? Carbon Footprint? Sasquatch! The Juice I had them squeeze tasted great except for the fact that it traveled all the way down the west coast before it got a chance squeeze its way into my gullet. Kind of a bummer for me, but like I mentioned above, the«normals» don’t notice that stuff. .they are just happy to be there… «mmmmmmmmmmmmmm… Donna, Doesn’t this taste SOOOO much BETTER!!! „ “ MMMMMMM Yeah Chad, absolutley, I love ORGANIC!» Ok you two– thats enough… now get back into your EXCURSION and guzzle your way on outta of here… oops hold on, two more plastic bottles of water for the road… cha ching! I think the ones in the truck are warm from the sun. Fuck it! I went back for a second splash and the girl behind the counter tried to use a brand new plastic cup for my juice. After I convinced her how ridiculous she was for not re-using my already re-used cup from my house to make my second juice blend, She still went ahead and got me a brand new lid and straw… which I didn’t need and otherwise, would never use. It’s just wasting. So to sum it up: If you want to get all hippy-dippy on us, then get your shit together. BUYLOCALLY and EMPLOYENVIRONMENTALLYCONSCIOUSPEOPLEPLEASE!!! Otherwise, the normals will win. the food is average and the menu is bland. But the juice is very good and when this was written, was on sale for 30% off.

Their website is happy to say that they are«Proud to be Americas First Fast-Casual Café Certified Organic Retailer». and I am too No longer is organic food only available at the Trader Joes and Whole Foods of the world, this is a GREAT concept that over time, will be just as popular as the next greasy fast food chain, but healthier. You’re overwhelemed as you walk in, with a large fridgerator full of freshly made sandwiches, fruits, salad bar and even, a lunch bag you fill up with your own goodies. You can order a sandwich ready-made, or you can create your own organic sandwich at the deli counter. There are fruit smooties and soups that are tasty and organic as well. Even the condiments are fresh and organic. The only downside is, its expensive. I guess for a healthier lifestyle, there is a price to pay, and investment, if you will. I ordered a turkey sandwich(of course there are vegetarian options as well) but if you wanted the extras like mayo and mustard, its an «add on» price. All in all, I got a tasty sandwich that was large enough to suffice my appetite but it ended up costing over $ 10 after all was said and done. that included chips(organic too) and a drink… I’d go back there again. Its a great alternative to any other lunch place out there. it tastes different because its fresh. And there are about four locations downtown. Hopefully they’ll spread out to suburbia-land and help all us non-urban people get healthy too…
