Is «craft pizza» a thing? What could, otherwise, pair better with San Diego craft beer than craft pizza? I was invited to a pre-opening party here, and, yes, I’m friends with the owners, which is often true with the first among Unilocal reviews. You can decide for yourselves if my review has prejudice, but I can say with COMPLETE sincerity that this is the best pizza I’ve had since being in Italy. Their wood burning stove and pizza chef both come from some ancient Italian village, where the art of pizza has passed down since Romulus and Remus fed on the she-wolf’s milk. AND I believe they still make their cheese from that milk, if I’m not mistaken. Okay, maybe not, but the oven and chef are from Italy, and this is hands-down the BEST pizza in San Diego. Trust me — go try it yourself. Unbelievable. I believe they’ll be opening VERY soon, so be on the watch.
