Paris baguette. As name suggests it’s a French bakery and serves my favorite cakes in town . In San Diego there is a place called extra ordinary dessert which is fav to most of the ppl, but personally I love Paris baguette much much more . Cakes are super light, fresh, light and creamy unlike extra ordinary which are very heavy and thick cream. Fresh cream cakes are my all time favorite. I love the optimum sweetness n fresh fruits. Me and my husband both are not that big of cakes fan but we keep coming back to PB for fresh cream cake . I love fresh cream chocolate strawberry cake as well. It’s fresh cream with cocoa bread instead of vanilla bread, great taste . Other than fresh cream their coffee cakes are great too, we recently bough coffee mocha cake for friends bday and he loved it . Not only cakes, bakery products are equally fresh n nice. Be it fresh regular bread or almond bread. I love green tea cake as well They serve fresh apple juice in cute little container. Sometime I buy that for container itself . And cappuccino pudding is yummmm too Only one thing I don’t like is their coffee … I have tried few, I didn’t like any . Also one more prob I have is they don’t make customize cakes, thus 4 stars.

Not bad, not great. Packaging and presentation is nice, but tastes eh. That pretty much sums it up. I prefer 85· Degrees. Once 85· Degrees opens down the street, I’m sure this bakery will be affected.

If you’ve been to the PB in the Zion market, you should know that this one is smaller. Located inside H-Mart, there isn’t a place here to eat your goodies. Since I have a sweet tooth, I frequent both since sometimes they have different pastries at each location. I wish they had a larger selection at both PBs and that they would be better about restocking when they run out of stuff if you go later in the day. Their prices also don’t seem to consistently match the product. Some items seem to be over priced while others seem under priced, so I guess it kinda works out? Unlike American pastries, these pastries are not as sweet. Other than that, it’s really personal preference which pastries you like. I haven’t had anything that I thought was terrible here, so just try a few things and see for yourself. A tip is to pop their pastries in the toaster oven so that they come out all warm and flaky. Here are my faves… –Onion & goat cheese tart: This is hands down my favorite thing at PB. The onions are perfectly caramelized, and there is a substantial amount of goat cheese with hints of lavender at the end. Add a side salad, and it could easily be on the menu of a bistro. I always warm this up in the toaster oven and it’s divine! The best part is that it’s under $ 4! –Cheese soufflé: This is super tiny(two bites if you have a small Asian mouth), so at $ 2, it’s a pricier option. Don’t let the name fool you though; there is nothing cheesy about this. It tastes more like an Asian version of a cheesecake that is very light and airy. It practically melts in your mouth. Some people might find this to be too plain, but there is just something about it that I really like. If you like their cheese soft cake, then you’ll like this, but buy the cheese soft cake cause it’s a much better deal. –Mocha cheese tart: Again, don’t think savory cheese, think cream cheese. The crust is a nice buttery one with a good amount of filling and a light mocha flavor. –Macarons: I like their macarons, but they are pricey at $ 2.25 a pop. I’ve only had the rose and Earl Grey ones, and I really liked them both. You can actually taste each flavor instead of just eating food coloring with poor quality macarons. –Royal pudding: These glass milk jars are so friggin’ cute! I kept bypassing them because they’re expensive at $ 2.50 for a small 2 oz jar for the regular flavor and $ 3 if you want a flavored one. This is not like your average American pudding; they’re more like a Japanese pudding or soft custard(softer than flan) that is super creamy. If you like custards, flan, and crème brûlée, then you should give these a try. –Multi grain cream cheese pastry: This has a good amount of cream cheese in it with some seeds for a nice crunch. Delicious out of the toaster oven!

Bought a couple baguettes here this morning, fresh out of the oven. Yum Yum! Also, they have a wonderful selection of sweets. I will have to remember this for our next event!

I really enjoy this place their cakes are amazing as well as everything else in the store. Although I have not had their coffee yet. They are a little expensive but well worth the indulgence! I have not had a bad pastry yet and I am a frequent flyer there.

Went around 7pm craving some sweets & coffee. I had read the reviews before because I was looking for alternative iced coffee. I There were slim pickings that late at night. Ended up buying a four pack of macaroons. They ran out of two pack for $ 5 boo! I’ve only had macaroons one other time before and they weren’t prepackaged. The cake part broke apart when bit into. So the freshness is questionable. Also ordered a white mocha but could only make mocha. I wish they had the option of non-fat milk. come on! Get with the program. Us ladies like to keep our figure lol. Lost some stars just for that. I also think they should have had some seats on the inside. I ended up drinking it outside of H-mart. There were only two tables with a couple of chairs. Other than that I’d probably come back for the cronuts. Still haven’t tried them but I’m guessing I have to go early.

The staff is amazing and the pastries are some of the best in SD. They make fresh bread every day which has quickly become a staple in our house

I have been in search of a cronut for a while just to experience what the craze has been all about. Finally excited to find somewhere that offers one and with a name like Paris Baguette Café I thought it would be somewhat authentic. Located inside H-Mart supermarket they offer a fairly large selection of baked goods. Mostly croissant and bread themed pastries. Everything looks amazing as you walk around with a tray and tongs making your choices. I find two different cronuts, coffee and regular cream at $ 3.50 a piece. I decided to give them both a shot for fair comparison only to find a huge disappointment. The cronut is SOAKED in oil and grease and is extremely tough to chew. It might be one of those items you need to eat the moment it is made because the two that I tried on two different occasions have been a huge let down. I honestly only took 2 – 3 bites and ended up tossing it away because of how much grease it had. Left my hands and lips covered in grease and was really hard to bite and chew. Not sure if this is how cronuts are meant to be but I was excepting something delicate and soft like a donut and croissant. Unfortunately their other pastries are oil soaked as well with exception to the prepackaged breads which are not too bad. I was hoping for more but not sure I will ever return again. They have cakes which may be a better choice.

This place is quite a hidden gem! It’s located inside the H Mart in Mira Mesa. This place really showcases their technical pastry skills. I got a small variety of things to taste and took lots of pictures because everything was soo pretty! Here are the pros: Really really gorgeous pastries and desserts. A great selection of both sweet and savory pastries to choose from(I was there about 10am-ish). The coffee cronut was SCRUMPTIOUS! There was a coffee glaze between the 2 flakey, sugary layers of cronut and topped with a coffee buttercream and a few coffee beans.($ 3.50) Well worth it’s price! Next time I plan to try the cronut with a cream cheese frosting on top! The Macarons were the perfect pillowy texture with yummy gooey flavors in the middle, I had a green tea and a caramel.($ 2.50 each) The sandwiches looked divine, those are on my list to try next time also. And the cakes… WOW. Very aesthetically appealing! No line to wait in. The cons: The overwhelming fish smell when you walk into the building from the grocery store. While delicious, $ 2.50 for a macaron is a bit steep. I wanted to get a coffee drink and sit and enjoy it with my pastries, but there are only a couple tables outside that were occupied by general store patrons. Their«café» doesn’t really have a designated sitting area. I also sampled a spinach filled pastry and a red bean and cream brioche. They were good, not great, but good. Ultimately I’ll definitely go back, and recommend others to check it out. The cronut was was worth the visit alone! #sandiegofoodgirls

I haven’t been here since when they first we’re open and it was crazy busy. But I always go to H-Mart and pass by the goodies. They’re always stocked, and prices are a little expensive for these pastries. Macaroons are small and expensive for what it’s worth. But it is good. If you’re lazy to drive to 89 degrees bakery in Clairemont this is your best near by togo spot.

Almost $ 5 for a Cronut?!! Really?! All the baked goods look all pretty, not all taste that great, and this place is pretty pricey. Tiny little spot inside H Mart. When they get busy it gets really hectic and there’s confusion on who’s in line and who isn’t. Customer service is great tho.

Pretty good for pastries inside a grocery store. Cream Puffs are all delicious, I liked the coffee bun but thought all the buns were over filled with filling. The bun to filling ratio was off. Chocolate Walnut brioche was dry and tasted burnt. Fruit pastries are good and I want to go back to try to green tea cake and the cronuts.

I like their pastries here but they can be quite pricey. It can be $ 2.10 for just one pastry! It definitely adds up. I’ve tried the cronuts here and would have to say the best one is the strawberry one! The regular cronut tasted too lemony for my liking. And I don’t even like lemon that much but I had to see what the hype was about. The cakes look good in the display case. They also have smoothies, and drinks, etc.

I’ve been here half a dozen times total, and each time the service was just okay, but today it really missed the mark. I ordered a small, hot milk tea. The menu said the small was $ 2.90 and the large size was $ 3.50. I was charged $ 3.50. When I inquired about it, the cashier said that the menu had changed, and now it cost $ 3.50. He apologized. I was okay with it, but felt it was odd in the further interactions he had with other co-workers after. Okay, then when my drink was ready, it turns out it was made cold… the cashier told the other employee who had made my drink that it was supposed to have been hot. I noticed that the small size for a cold one was $ 3.50…so then now I’m kinda wondering if they charged it as a small, cold milk tea as opposed to a small hot one… Then, I waited a few more minutes until I got the hot milk tea… and it was super sweet and extremely creamy. The taste was kinda off to me and I didn’t really like it. It didn’t feel rich and I could not actually taste the tea. I had also ordered a pastry with a sausage in it, kinda like the concept of a hot dog, except the hot dog was sorta baked into the bread. Anyway, the sausage tasted REALLY salty and it was kinda tough to chew. I dunno. This kind of thing is usually my go-to but I prefer the ones at the bakery at 99 Ranch or at 85C more. The highlight for this location is probably the CRONUTS. There are always cronuts here, in regular and usually at least one other flavor, such as Coffee. They are pretty good and definitely taste flaky. You don’t have to wait for a certain time to buy them and there’s no limit, as opposed to the Kearny Mesa location. For cakes, I’d probably go to the Kearny Mesa location though because it feels like they have more designs and flavors to choose from. Also, I’m not sure if they do that rewards/stamp card system here since when I paid, the cashier didn’t ask me if I had one. Overall, it’s a cute little bakery with some unique baked goods, but the service, organization & professionalism needs a little work. People who work here seem inexperienced and new from the slightly awkward interactions I’ve had here. A little more effort into employee development & training sure would not hurt.

Located inside of H Mart, this little pastry café is full of yummy Asian treats. My cousin doesn’t like cake so for her birthday I picked up a whole cheesecake from here at a decent price. My personal favorites are the raspberry cream cheese pastry and the mini red bean mochi donut balls! I don’t come here for anything else!

I love Paris Baguette more than 85degrees bakery. Yes, one is Korean and the other is Taiwanese but baked goods are baked goods to me. I like the variety even though there is a small selection but the cakes and breads are delicious! My mother-in-law bought a Paris Baguette cake in Los Angeles for my birthday and it was absolutely delicious! I will have to buy one from Mira Mesa soon! I really like their hot dog breads because it is a good small lunch/snack when you’re on the go. I also like their boba even though their drinks are really small and expensive. Plan on spending a little more here than your average bakery because it’s «Paris Baguette». I also highly recommend their cream puffs($ 2 for 4) in the refrigerated section because it is more delicious than 85degrees(in my opinion). Parking always sucks in the plaza but Paris Baguette is tucked inside of H-Mart so you can do your grocery shopping before or after! Just the other day, I was able to snag a reusable tote during a promotion they were having that day(buy $ 10 worth of goodies and get a free tote, buy $ 30 worth of goodies and get a free neck pillow) — the promotion probably already ended. TIP: Ask for their rewards card! I already saved $ 1 from my purchases here.

If you’re looking for great, fresh and something different come here. They have all types of pastries and drinks. It’s located inside H-Mart market. They have fresh mochi and different types. They have different types of cronuts. I came to get a cake, but ended up picking up pastries. I can’t ever go here empty handed. This is great place for sandwiches and drinks too. You can shop at H-Mart for all your Asian grocery needs while you there.

I really enjoyed this small corner of H Mart: the service was REALLY friendly. I was greeted promptly, asked if I had questions and served with a smile. When I asked which cronut she liked best, she recommended the strawberry because it is seasonal and will be gone in 2 weeks. Holy Moly. WHY didn’t I take home 3? At $ 3.50 I thought I’d share it with my hubby at home for afternoon tea. We split it and prompty gobbled up that light crusty goodness. The light layer of sugar was perfect, the whipped strawberry was decadent but somehow not overly sweet. It was PERFECT and I wanted more. The only reason I docked a star is that there are a measy 2 outdoor tables to enjoy the munchies, so it’s more of a take out than a café in my opinion. I literally am plotting my next trip to Mira Mesa.

This is the first Paris Baguette I had ever been to. I was tickled that each person gets a tray and tongs to pick their goodies with. It’s such a fun experience for first timers. My favorites are the cream and fruit pastries, but I usually always pick a little something different that I have never tried before.
