Still the best furniture showroom in City Heights!!! Currently we’ve decided to upgrade our living room furniture, and because of good shopping experience we’d got from Payless Furniture a couple of years ago, we paid Randy and Helen another visit… This family-​owned/​family-​run business once again won our heart!!! Helen was very helpful in helping my wife to pick out the right furniture for our place — she even gave us pointers on which products were on-​sale and thus had better buying value. We were very comfortable and spent more than an hour there choosing from catalogs and considering our options. Finally when we picked out our sectional, Helen and Randy worked out a deal for us that we could not refuse (we did our homework and no other furniture stores could beat the price here!!!) The special order took almost 2 weeks, but the delivery was on the point and the delivery people from Payless Furniture were professional and courteous. They even helped us to remove our old couch which we were more than happy to offer to pay them to dump it for us!!! Overall, we love this furniture store and have always found what we needed here. Thanks, Helen and Randy!!! We will definitely be back to shop for our children’s bebroom sets in the end of the year!!!

Had a great experience here at Payless Furniture. We walked in and started looking around the showroom floor. Randy was polite, helpful and above all not pushy or overbearing. Needless to say we found the perfect living room set that suited our needs and was within our budget. If you’re looking for really nice furniture with a budget friendly price tag, look no further. Such a great place! There service was amazing. Showed us just what we needed. They didn’t try to sell us on everything in the store. Would recommend this store to everyone! … (update) Well it had been a few months of having our couch. My husband went to sit down and it tore! Cheap material, so sad because i loved the look and feel of the couch. Now its a ripped man cave couch. Here gos to another 1000 $ to get a new couch=(. Yes i changed my review stars also. This is because, thanks for the great service but would also like quality stuff thats gonna last, and not waste my money.

This place is awesome. We went there just to look at the furniture and ended up buying the whole apartment furniture, which includes a bed set, dining table, living room couch set, guest room sets and vanity. The customer service was great. Helen was awesome. But the problem that I do have is that they do not pick up the phone. Which is a problem because I needed to get my furniture deliver to my new apartment. & I was supposed to call her and let her know when to deliver it. Overall their stuff is pretty cheap and the quality of the product is very nice and strong. I would definitely recommend this to anyone and everyone.

I went for a bed, got great service and suggestions on what I was looking for. Randy and Helen are great. Very great prices and great service. I had my bed and desk delivered the next day when they said. I was most obliged! I will definitely be returning!

If i could give this place a lower score i would! Employees here are so motivated to make a sale only to reap the benefits of their commission. Don’t be fooled, once they have your money they will ignore you as if they don’t know who you are and are unwilling to help after a transaction is complete. Needless to say I had a horrible experience at this place and will never shop there again and i suggest you skip even entering their doors. I purchased a bedroom set here about two months ago and a woman by the name of Maricela Medina assisted me, she was kind and seemed knowledgeable. I decided what the heck ill help out small business because i know the importance of helping out the little guys. That turned out to be a MAJOR mistake. The next day i returned to furniture store and placed an order for a bedroom set, this was the last time i came into contact with Maricela Medina. Maricela told me that i would have my furniture delivered the next day at approximately 4pm. I said great, i proceeded to go home and disassemble my old bedroom set and toss it out. The next day I waited for the delivery truck, by 5pm i called the furniture store and Maricela was no where to be found. another lady came on the phone and explained that the bedroom set would no be able to be delivered till the following wed i.e. 5 days after it was suppose to be delivered. On Wednesday I once again am waiting for the furniture truck to arrive with my new bedroom set as i’ve been sleeping on the floor having already given away my old furniture on Friday when my delivery was suppose to arrive. On Wednesday i get a call from the furniture store, once again Maricela is out for the day, the woman on the phone tells me that my furniture was misplaced and didn’t make it to San Diego. She explains that it will not arrive until Friday an entire week after it was suppose to be delivered. I;ve been sleeping on the bed for the past two months and it is the worst mattress i have ever slept on. I returned to the furniture store within a month of receiving the merchandise and yet again Maricela was not working conveniently. At this time i spoke with the owner of the furniture store and explained the issues i was experiencing with the mattress. He suggested i purchase a new mattress… I thought to myself are you kidding. I just bought this crap from you less than three weeks ago. He explained that he could return my mattress but that he would have to take off $ 100.00 from what I paid which i thought was absolutely absurd. It has roughly been two months since i purchased this mattress and already the seems and stitching that holds together the mattress are coming apart. I should have just stuck to big box retailers at least they would have tried to accommodate my needs and compensated me for their incompetence.
Furniture arrived extremely late.
Sales associate Maricela Medina never attempted to remedy the situation and as never seen again.
return policy is preposterous.
Mattress is falling apart in less than two months.

expensive to deliver, so we picked it up ourselves, but they seemed busy so they didn’t help too much… i’d go back for other items. good deal
