Gas station located in downtown with unbeatable prices and they have a car wash too which is a huge plus!

The pump did not function properly, they charged me an extra fee to use my credit card with the fee NOT being advertised at the pump or having a warning that says «see cashier». Also, the pump was either malfunctioning or empty because I could only pump barely a gallon and the clicker just would not retain pressure to feed the gas.
I went inside, as a courtesy, to let the guy behind the counter know. I told him it was either broken or empty. He smirked and said «You have to pay for it to work. You no pay.“EXCUSE YOU? I whipped out my receipt and said «I DID pay. See? It only let me pump out that much. I came in here as a courtesy to let you know.» «Oh, okay, okay.»
NO, it’s not okay, you sexist jerk. Just because I’m a woman doesn’t mean I’m unaware of how to pump gas. Screw you, guy.

This gas station consistently has the most affordable prices between the Arco, and 76 gas station in the same block. I usually go to the 76 because i believe their gas is superior so i don’t mind spending the extra money to gas up. This gas station however has something that the 76 does not have, a car wash. Although the car wash itself looks kind of sketchy and old it left my car looking better than the far more expensive car wash i usually get at Pearl Car Wash in City Heights. PLUS if you spend 10 dollars in gas (which you will) you get a dollar off the car wash, whats not to love about that.

I came here after leaving the weird 76 station around the corner. The price per gallon was the same, but the station was cleaner, and the pumps were faster. If I’m downtown, and need gas, I’ll stop here again.

This place is a huge ass fucking joke. I stopped by early in the morning to put $ 5 in my car off my card cause i had forgot to fill up the night before and just needed something to get me by. When i pulled in i had 13 miles left on my gauge of how far i can drive, and one bar of gas (2013 civic SI). I put $ 5 in off my card, what is over a gallon of gas. Got back in my car, still at 13 miles, still one bar of gas. 1 gallon should be 3 bars of gas. What the fuck did i pay for? $ 5 of air. I really dont even know where to go with this. Too fucking pissed.

In the beginning this place was pretty good. Staff are nice enough and besides the throng of eastern european cab drivers swapping soviet stories I always found a stall pretty quickly. I came here all the time, but this place hasn’t fixed their card readers in MONTHS.
I was in a bit of a rush today when I realized that ALL of the card readers around me were out. I walked in and he said the card reader on #3 was working. I went outside, moved my car, and #3 card reader was broken as well. Came back inside and told him that was broken too.
He said «it’s broken because so many people use it, NO PROBLEM just tell me how much you want and I’ll charge your card for it… if it’s over come back in and i’ll charge your card back that amount. it’s easy!»
Really?
Easy is when you have a card reader that can read your card at the pump and you can authorize the credit card. AND THEN when you’re done pumping gas, it will automatically (whoa!) charge the EXACT amount of gas you bought so you don’t ever have to wait in your line! It’s amazing!
But I know… First World Problems.

The credit/​debit card readers at the pumps are perpetually out of order, so you have to go inside.
ALWAYS check your bank/​credit card statements… this is the only place I’ve ever been double-​charged at.

scam! i pumped $ 20 worth… (about 7 gallons… and my gas Gage just went up a little… giving this place the benefit of the doubt i thought maybe JUST maybe my 2010 Camey gas Gage was messed up… i drove maybe 20 miles and ran out of gas… they screw you… plus the automatic car was is the worst!

So, I drive up to the car wash. There’s a car parked right in front of the entrance and it’s not moving. The owner is outside of his car, shaking his head and looking at the car. After about a minute, I get out to see what’s wrong.
Me: Is everything okay?
Clueless dude: The car wash is broken. It just shoots water up underneath the car.
Me (starting to get back in my car): Okay.
CD: Do you think it’s okay?
Me: Do I think what’s okay?
CD: My car. It shot water up right at my engine.
Me: Yeah dude, I don’t think a quick stream of water is going to hurt your engine. If it’s still running then you’re okay.
CD: But I saw smoke coming out from it!
Me: That was probably steam. Your engine is hot.
CD: Oh yeah…
I wish there was another car wash close to my house. Not only does this place have a crappy car wash that is broken two out of three times that I try to use it, but now each trip here actually makes me dumber. Also, the gas pump area is always super-​crowded. The only advantage to this place is that it is close to the downtown 94 access and the 5 South on-​ramp.
If you do get gas here, though, be quick. This place always seems like it is about 10 minutes away from getting robbed.
