CLEAN, PROMPT, TASTY. I’m not Vietnamese, but some of my Vietnamese friends validated this place as one of the best. Their broth is very flavorful, and consistent. Food comes out pretty quickly where I’ve never had to spend any more than 45 minutes, from start to finish. Their egg rolls, spring rolls, and grilled BBQ filet/pork vermicelli are also very delicious!

Went for lunch on a Saturday. Did not have to wait, excellent service. The food was very very fresh and the flavors jumped out. and reasonably priced. For less than a meal at fast food you get a delicious healthy meal.

I’ve been to this restaurant numerous times in the past. I normally order a bowl of the Phở with just slices of beef. Their broth is delicious. They have good customer service and your order doesn’t take very long to get to your table. I was craving fresh shrimp and pork spring rolls and fried spring rolls last night, so I placed an order to-go. When I opened my order, I was a bit disappointed that the spring rolls and egg rolls are much smaller than they use to be. Their peanut dipping sauce was so salty, it seemed as though they added hoisin sauce for more flavor. This restaurant accepts cash and debit/credit cards as a method of payment. If you are coming during lunch or dinner, finding parking can be difficult to find. Keep in mind, their parking spaces are very narrow as well, so be careful!

Phở Cao Dao is such a great sit down restaurant. The people who work there are awesome. Very kind and respectful. I’m never disappointed with my food here and it is reasonably priced. I know it’s the best place to go whenever I’m craving Phở!

We ordered the phở house special, chicken phở, and steak phở. Add to that egg rolls. The bowls had generous servings of meat and noodles. We had to take some home for the next day. As usual, the egg rolls were prepared just right. For a Friday night out, this was a good experience. My only request is that the waiters refill the water.

The best phở in the area, hands down! Lots of customers leads to very fresh ingredients. We love the bon mi sandwiches and the seafood phở. The service is exceptional and the place is spotless.

In Rancho Bernardo there are two phở restaurants and this is the slightly better one. The phở broth is tasty and not as salty. The veggies are fresh. The hu tieu ap chau could have better cut up veggies(I had to ask for a knife to help cut my veggies smaller for them to be edible). You cannot tell who works here because the service people do not have uniforms like the other Phở restaurant, but you could totally guess and flag down some help because it’s a small restaurant. Pay at the register.

Bowl of Phở from this place always hits the spot. I love how they have other options and that if soup isn’t your thing for the day, you can order a rice dish, a noodle dish and even a banh mi sandwich. The restaurant is clean and for the most part the servers are attentive and keep your water glass full.

Virtually equivalent to phở da cao down the street — but a good bit pricer and slower. Not a bad choice — but just more $$

Horrible, horrible, customer service in the night. Beware. Two nights ago, my boyfriend ordered a to-go for two phở and uncooked noodles around 8:35 pm. By the time he brought it home, we were opening the food when we saw that the noodles were missing! We were suprised so we called them when one of the emplpyee replied«sorry we’re closed, sorry we’re closed». We then drove to the restaurant and by the time we got there, all of the employers were about to leave since the store closes at 9, but my boyfriend went up and explaimed that we wanted our noodles(they’re uncooked so it is not difficilt go walk into the kitchen and grab the noodles), and if not that he wanted his money back. The employers then surrounded him and one of them said«come back tomorrow. We are closed.» My boyfriend kept telling him that all we wanted was the noodles and that’s it, but the employer then replied with«you called the wrong number we’re closed» and verbally pushed him out of the store. Absolutely rude. No matter how late the restaurant closes even after 2 minutes late, was it that difficult to bring the noodles to us when the kitchen is just anout 10 – 15 steps near the door? Not planning to go here until the employees fix their behavior with their customers. Especially the one in cashier. $ 16.00 of the food without the noodles. Ridiculous.

This is my go to place if I can’t get to Phoung Trang. I had dinner last night and the egg rolls were perfectly crispy and tightly wrapped just how I like it. We also enjoyed the crispy tofu appetizer. The phở is pretty good. This is where I go for Phở in the neighborhood.

My wife and I had some late lunch here recently and I wanted to leave a review because this place was off my radar for some good phở. The service was fast and has a good quality broth. Definitely try out their bun bo hue !

Consistently great food and good service. If it takes a while to get your check, just go straight to the cashier.

Craving for food with good fresh vegetables, so Vietnamese is my choice. I come here once in awhile and this place has been consistently serving me well. It is not as crowded as others Vietnamese places in Mira Mesa, but they are doing fine with good food and good service. They pay attention in taking care of you with smiles. If you are in this neighborhood, this is your go to place for Vietnamese food, period.

I stopped in for a quick lunch on a Monday. The place wasn’t too busy when I got there, but by the time I left it was pretty much packed. The service was friendly and welcoming, not to mention speedy. The Phở(rare steak) was decent and the price was average. I’d definitely come back if I lived in the area.

I came here looking for some good Bun Bo Hue in North County, and a bowl here more than hit the spot! Portions were plentiful(huge piece of pork hock!) and the broth was excellent; I have a milder spice tolerance and the spiciness of their broth was perfect. A few qualms with my dish: the steak was on the tougher side and hard to chew, and the pork blood was not the freshest. However, I’m thankful enough to find an authentic bowl of Bun Bo Hue in North County that their rendition still deserves high praise. The service was polite and timely, but a little understaffed during my visit. They weren’t on top of my table when I needed water refills, but they’re still receptive if you gesture for a waiter with any needs. Looking forward to my next visit!

Excellent phở served quickly! Flavor of the broth was good, and the meat was tender. Lots of space for lunch — there were a lot of people here but there was space for everyone, and the food still came out quickly. Clean restaurant, but not fancy. Good for lunch with coworkers or friends! I ordered the large size phở because I wasn’t sure how big it would be, but would probably get the small size next time. The menu was quite large, and they have a lot of options beyond phở.(Rice combo played, bahn mi sandwiches, noodle plates).

This place is way better than Phở Ca Dao! Decided to come here during lunch break, the parking lot was crowded, but we were able to get seated right away. The service was indeed pretty fast. Since I didn’t want to let food coma hit me too hard, as it always does when I eat food, I got the C1 Combo Rice Plate. The rice plate was HUGE and delicious. It included BBQ pork, BBQ filet mignon, shredded pork, egg rolls, and a cup of soup! The soup was very appetizing, it made the meal even better. The fish sauce also went really well with the rice plate. The portion is big, I was able to even bring home half of the plate for dinner! They have a good selection of food on their menu, I will definitely be back next time to try their phở!

My new favorite Phở place. Hard to find but super worth it when you get here! Phở was un-phở-king believable. I, of course, did not order it — but my boyfriend did. I was drinking from his side broth bowl. For those of you who have ever read my past reviews on Phở places, you will know that I am generally not a fan of ordering food that involves tendons or tripe. This truth still applies. I ordered a barbecue beef sandwich. It was yum. It would have been super Yum, except for the fact that the vegetables were not pickled. Bummer! Still, highly recommend this sandwich with a side of dipping broth. Also ordered fresh spring rolls without vermicelli noodles. Next time I will also order without pork because I am used to Thai spring rolls. Still, when all is said and done they did a good job on the rolls. They wrap lettuce shrimp bean sprouts and mint and the classic rice paper. It is served with peanut dipping sauce and big enough to share with a friend.(4 rolls=$ 4.50). Phở soup w/well done steak w/extra noodles $ 7.50(+$ 1 for extra noodles) Bbq beef sandwich about $ 4.50 Spring rolls $ 4.50 Total came to: $ 22. +1: very spacious, clean restaurant with plenty of nice tables. +1: not crowded and easy to get seating. +1: if I am not a fan of phở & I am drinking the broth then it must be really good +1: for having easy-to-understand menu w/plenty of options. +1: ridiculously fast service. My entire order(appetizer, entrée, special request sides, tea) was at my table in less than 5 minutes.

Pretty average phở. My parents love this place because they like ordering the Chinese options. Rice noodles dishes: their rice noodles are pretty good but they tend to have a burnt flavor for some reason. Phở: pretty good and standard. They have some atypical options which is nice. For example I’ve had their seafood phở and it was nicely done with lots of vegetables and fish balls Chicken and rice: this is not the best I’ve had and the chicken could’ve been better. It was almost too dry but still edible. Service here is pretty good and the interior is pretty cute and colorful. Not a bad place for a quick phở stop.

Came here for dinner. It’s family owned as most Vietnamese restaurant. The ambience was homey, clean and nice. We didn’t ordered the phở but we will return for it. I had their crispy egg noodle with stir fry goodness. The sauce in the stir fry was thick and flavorful. We also ordered the Crispy Fried Tofu. They used a medium tofu dipped in a light tempura batter, topped with crispy garlic, bell peppers and onions. My niece got their Bun(vermicelli noodles) shimp and eggrolls. I was impressed by the eggrolls but the shrimp could use a few more minutes on the grill to bring out the char-grilled flavor. All in all I would be back.

We visited for lunch the other week. They’re located in a strip mall right off the 15 fwy and parking can be a hassle during lunch. We ordered: EGGROLLS $ 6.49 These fried eggrolls came out piping hot. We all laughed at how long and skinny these things were. Inside were carrots, cabbage, noodles, and pork. They really roll these things tight as each bite would result in a nice crackling of the deep fried eggroll skin. I thought the eggroll tasted fine but nothing amazing. MEAT&SEAFOODSTIRFRY $ 9.49 I was disappointed at the portion size as I thought it would be one large plate of meat & seafood for that price. The stir fry had chicken, char siu pork, shrimp, squid, bok choy, beef, broccoli. I would have to say that every protein was overcooked and tasted quite sad. The brown garlic sauce was the only saving grace in this dish. MEATBALLPHO The noodles were plentiful and cooked just right for her. She said the broth tasted clean and rich at the same time. WELLDONESTEAK, BRISKETS, FLANKS, TENDONS&TRIPE Phở $ 6.49 Friend said this bowl of phở was quite good as she finished the entire bowl. She particularly enjoyed the richness and fattiness of the broth(and dude, trust me, that’s a huge statement because she’s particular picky when it comes to her phở). VIETNAMESEICECOFFEE $ 3.00 Nice and strong. Tasted great poured over cold ice. So overall how was the meal. Friends enjoyed their phở quite a bit. I wouldn’t order my rice dish again but I’d come back to try another phở. Friend was cracking me up right now because I’m talking to her about my rice dish and she said, and I quote verbatim ’ This is what you get when you go to a *phở place* and you order *rice*. When *I* go to phở I order PHO’.

This is my go to restaurant whenever I’m in San Diego and am craving a Banh Mi sandwich! They are always so fresh and wonderful… you’ll love it. Here are a few tips: — Order the grilled chicken Banh Mi — Extra jalapeño — Hold the mayo Also, why not get the order to go and enjoy the beautiful San Diego sunshine(or better yet, I’ve called ahead and placed an order for pickup on my way to the golf course!)… Either way, you’ll be in heaven. I’ve also had several other items… My 2nd favorite are the egg rolls(tightly wound, deep-fried perfection!) closely followed by the grilled chicken vermicelli. The only thing I’ve had that was BAD here was the spring rolls(glass noodles, fresh veggies, shrimp all good… BAD was the turkey(Tasted like a cigarette?) Pass on these and you’ll be golden.

Loved this Phở spot!(Phở’king good haha) Ventured off from my usual Mira Mesa phở restaurants and glad I did. Ordered the STIR-FRIEDNOODLES with beef and vegetables on top. Watched a server bring some to the table next to us and HAD to have it. Thank you to our waitress who told me what that table was having, with a smile, when I asked. Loved how the noodles were crispy on the outside and were softer and marinated in sauce in the middle. So good! Also had the ORANGECHICKEN, which I also recommend. And of course we ordered the Phở… absolutely zero complaints and came with a lot of meat and noodles. Service was an A+! Friendly and extremely quick. From receiving our food to asking for extra plates or the bill, our waitress and other staff were always on top of it and quick on their feet. My water cups were never empty thanks to them! Side notes: –Parking was a bit tight during dinner time on a Friday. Pretty sure I did a 5 point turn just to get out of my space. No biggie though –They charged us $ 1.00 because it was an XL bowl of phở, but I don’t remember asking for that size. Luckily my boyfriend still demolished the whole thing, so it was worth it in the end.

I’ve been here a couple times specifically because I was craving a bahn mi sandwich. Both times I was underwhelmed. The beef bahn mi is pretty much like a Philly cheesesteak. It wasn’t at all what I was expecting. I wanted spicy beef with pickled veg but literally got a cheesesteak with grilled onions and bell peppers. After seeing it I asked for the pickled veg and they said«it won’t taste good.» I was thinking to myself that it would be nice if they listened to the customer. I gave them another shot and next time ordered a chicken bahn mi. It looked legit when it came out and was what I was hoping for until I bit into it. It was covered in a huge layer of mayonnaise.(Like dripping off and everywhere). It totally ruined the sandwich. I would have asked for something else but no staff ever came back. I had to get up and find someone for my check. I won’t be back.
