Average Phở spot. I come here as I’m leaving the gym for some chicken and rice. The noodles dishes are good. The Phở is good. Everything is good but nothing special. But the pricing is great. It’s $ 7 for a bowl of noodles and rice. Can’t beat that.

Great place. It’s a smaller store hidden between and cash checks place and a hookah lounge. After work I was really craving some Vietnamese food. Stopped by and got veggie phở with veggie springrolls and veggie eggrolls. Everything was good. No complaints. The people who run this store were sitting at a table and they were sweet. I spoke to them in Vietnamese and they were shocked but kinda proud of me, or at least that’s what it felt like. I love this place and am totally coming back.

The food was more approaching 4 star or at four star level. However the place really needs a makeover! It’s like a small little taco shop, and not so much in a good way. I probably won’t be back, just because so many places in this area are good and also have a bit nicer establishment. If you need a good Phở fix there are a lot of places to choose from in the immediate vicinity that are doing everything correctly. Don’t get me wrong the place did have good food. I just really wasn’t a fan of the ambiance. If you like hole in the walls this may be for you. I tried the Phở and egg rolls, I thought they were tasty. Happy eating!

After we got seated for about 10 minutes, the waiter stood there waiting for us to decide, despite us asking for a few more minutes. He seemed pretty impatient and snorted his snot back in after he took our order. I got the pork chop with rice and a fried egg. It’s was alright, but the rice seemed like normal rice. Com tam is supposed to be different. But that didn’t matter much. I liked how they cut up the pork chop for me, but they gave so much bone. I got about three pieces of straight up bone. they might as well have just taken them out instead of trying to make it seem like they were giving me more meat. or fat. My dad got phở and when he tried squeezing out the hoison sauce, it was really chunky and disgusting. So we tried another bottle, which turned out to be really watery. Then when we asked for the check, we basically had to go up there to get the check and then walk back up to drop off our card.

A nice authentic hole in the wall spot, full with MSG and chili oil(along with the sriracha and hoisin sauce) on the table. I had the phở with everything. The broth was very savory, the kind that leaves a satisfying lip smacking stickiness from the amount of collagen found in the broth, the blend of spices and herbs in the broth was had a nice warming property great for a chilly day.

We went to this place over the Thanksgiving break and got really disappointed. The soup was very lukewarm, not hot enough to eat. All six of us got the same bad quality. The service was very rude. They were very terse with us and seemed to have no patience. It’s not the customers’ fault that they are busy. They should be thankful and hire more people to serve customers appropriately. I won’t recommend this place to anyone who’s looking for a decent taste Vietnamese phở.

On a whim, I stopped by to grab some basic chicken phở. There were a number of people seated in the restaurant. I thought that was a good sign. The restaurant seemed like a small family operated place. Another good sign. A man quickly greeted me and I placed my to-go order. Everything seemed nice. He even gave me a glass of water while I waited. The food… well, it was … «okay». Pretty basic… chicken phở with spring rolls. The spring rolls were bland, and the peanut sauce was not good. In all my phở experience, I think the sauce was one of the worst. The phở was bland and largely unremarkable. The broth was okay. I’ve had better and worse. The chicken was good and the large phở was decently sized. We ended up finishing the phở… no one in my family wanted the spring rolls. They were wasted. Summary: Seems okay at first. Nice service for a to-go order. Food was below average

Good Phở restaurant. I’ve been to other Vietnamese restaurants in Monterey, Ca and in San Clemente and I felt this one was better. I had the chicken Phở and the fresh spring rolls. The servings were more than enough for most people. The service was courteous. This place was a great value also. For my girlfriend and I we had two chicken phở’s and the fresh rolls which only set us back $ 22 after a four dollar tip. The décor was nothing impressive but that should not stop anyone from going here.

It took a while for somebody to greet me at the front even though the lady in the kitchen saw me. It would have been nice if she told the guy that I was standing there. Anyways, I got the vermicelli with egg rolls to go and I’m pretty upset that there wasn’t enough fish vinaigrette for the entire dish and no hoisin and sriracha were not included as well. As you can imagine, my dish was super plain. I’m not impressed. Two stars for quickly processing my phone order and for the tasty egg rolls.

Nice small restaurant with genuine Vietnam food. Glad that the menu was in English with photos. I’m a fussy eater but the noodles with shrimp was excellent. My wife enjoyed the spring veggie rolls with a very good dip. The tea was very tasty and I like the free refills. Even though everyone was speaking Vietnamese the server speak English and made sure I understood him and made me feel very welcome. Parking lot is front of restaurant. I guess going here after 7:00 pm I saw no homeless like I did at lunch time.

Great phở! The menu is funny because it’s written in English but still pretty hard to understand. Its okay though because you won’t go wrong with the food! Excellent phở at excellent prices. I always judge phở by the amount of oil floating in the broth and here is a minimum! It’s clean broth and good meat.

best phở is san diego! I have been to alot of phở places in san diego and other cities and this is STILL the best phở that i have had! This is not a very big place, has a limited menu but all the food is reasonably priced and good. It is owned by a vietnamese couple who run the restaurant by themselves and have two small children. My wife was never really a big phở eater prior to coming to this place. Now that she has came to this restaurant she is a phở-natic(fanatic :)) lol she really enjoys the fact that there is the option of chicken broth here as well. My son loves the fried rice too and calls the owner the cooker man :) Try this place you wont be disappointed. The only reason why I did not give this 5 stars is because this is not a fancy place, but lets face it all the good food usually comes from ma and pa shops. Enjoy :) i

Place is bomb — I’m so full and satisfied. Came here with the fiancé and we got the chicken phở. It was delicious. Plus they have coconut water which he loves & for that, I would’ve given them another star if I could. Definitely recommend this place to all the phở lovers out there.

Phở broth was average to good, but the noodles were very stuck together which seemed odd. Nothing really stood out, but it did the trick on a cold, rainy day. Loses a star because the server seemed to be battling a cold — and there’s no way he wasn’t transferring some of that special sauce to the customers. I guess in a small shop like this it’s hard to take a day off — but it’s not really acceptable either. *Insert Phở based pun here*

Not the best phở I’ve had. But definitely not the worst! It’s alright. And when I say alright, I mean, can get kind of pricey but you’d still eat it because it’s… Not bad. Don’t try to get anything crazy, I suggest the spring rolls and just a regular phở. Not bad for a phở enthusiast.

This is a nice little phở joint that hits the spot if you happen to be in the area and are craving some phở. Im giving it three stars because it is average, but still not so bad. I ordered spring rolls which were fresh and good. The peanut sauce was a bit runny. The rare steak phở that I ordered took a bit longer than I expected to come out. The steak was already cooked through when they brought it to my table. I asked for no onion and extra lime, both of which they happily provided. It wasn’t the best phở I’ve ever had, but it was just what I wanted and was plenty to curb my hunger for phở. I suggest stopping in for a bite if you happen to be in the area.

Great Phở, lacking atmosphere. If you want good Phở, and don’t care about the place being a dump, go, and enjoy good, authentic Phở. The Phở was perfect — we got the rare beef Phở, and it came out piping hot with meat with red center, not overcooked as other reviewers mentioned. The broth was tasty and simple, as Phở should be. The shop is family owned, and the whole family is around — the husband serves you, the wife makes the phở, and the kids are watching TV in the corner. The place smelled a bit funny and was dirty, which is the only thing holding it back from 5 stars. Note the credit card has a $ 10 minimum, so bring cash if you’re eating solo.

Rounding up because it’s a nice little family run place that always gets me. What really gets me is that they have phở in their name and their phở part of the menu is so limited. No tendon or tripe offered made me nervous especially not on the house special. Had to ask them to make the house special small because they only offer it large on menu. Phở comes out too hot. It’s a trend in this area that makes all the meat over cooked before it hits the table. The broth is bland. No hint of ginger or cinnamon at all. Noodles were on the soggy side. The coffee is pretty good. There’s an abundance of phở places in San Diego that I’m very grateful for and a lot of very good ones. If Phở Little Saigon wants to compete, they need to put a little more love and care in to their phở and menu. It almost feels like they’re running a small daycare out of here and might be a little too distracted.
