I’ve had my vietnamese food over last 40yrs and this place made an impression. I liked their going cuon. Full of shrimp and noodles which is the way I like it. I also tried their broken rice with 4 toppings and surprised how generous the rice was. Most places give small amount of rice ever since rice went up in price. Good portions. Not too greasy. Meat was tasty. I will definitely come back

I like their Chicken Phở with vegetables, but i cannot enjoy it in the winter months because this place is too cheap to turn on their heater. Came here on a 40 degree Sunday morning, sat down, and noticed all the employees wearing parkas and the front door was wide open as well as the back. I ordered and sat there another 5 minutes then told them to forget it, as it was just too cold in there. Maybe the heat was broken, but every time I come here, there is a draft from them leaving the front door wide open. Too many other good places to get phở. Fare thee well Phở Nhu Y!

Very good phở and Vietnamese spring rolls. Service quick. Vietnamese coffee sweater than what I’m used to. Been to Vietnam and if your looking for some good(not the best) Vietnamese and your in area definitely worth go. But I’m still in search of a bit more flavorful and little bit less salty Phở.

I just had lunch here with my husband today. I ordered the shrimp phở and he ordered their BBQ chicken plate. I enjoyed my phở for the most part, but the shrimp was definitely over cooked. I ate most of it because I already knew we were going to waste money on my husband’s food. He barely ate anything on his plate– the chicken was beyond dried out. When I mentioned this to the cashier, he checked our food out and continued to charge us for it. I was not expecting him to take it off the bill, but at least offer an apology for the wasted money. Never coming back here.

Authentic Vietnamese place with more than just phở. If you’re up for trying something new and want something more seafood like, try the bun rieu. For a spicier broth, bun bo hue is really good. If you’re not feeling soup, bun cha ha noi is a popular dish with grilled meat and noodles, tons of vegetables and amazing fish sauce. Don’t forget the egg rolls and the spring rolls. My favorite spring rolls is the bbq shrimp paste rolls(goi cuon chao tom).

Nuoc Beo is the rendered fat broth that is added to phở to make it taste better. However at this place, they seem to over do it. I’ve never had phở that had that much Nuoc Beo in it in my life. The bowl of phở was delicious of course, but with that much fat and saltiness it makes it unhealthy. In my opinion, they probably do this to stand out above the hundred other Vietnamese restaurants in town. Tried their pork spring rolls and they were great, tasted very fresh. Would be okay to try with a phở connoisseur but not okay if I was hungover. Clean restuarant

I found this place by chance one day driving by it. I’ve been looking for good Vietnamese food in San Diego for awhile and haven’t really find anything. I was about to give up on it until I found this place. They are clean. The food is good and is very cheap in comparison to other Vietnamese places. I would recommend this to my friends.

Been on the hunt for Bun Cha in broth and although they did not have it, my wife got it as a bowl/platter and it was excellent. My Phở. Was good and the egg rolls were tasty. They open early which is awesome– Sometimes I want Vietnamese food for breakfast! The service was fine, no complaints at all. We will likely return at some point.

I’ve been coming here every so often for about 3 years and I love this place. Personally I love their rare steak phở and their egg rolls. Prices are very reasonable and the service is always great. Employees are fast and attentive.

One of my favorite phở places. Other than the fact that it’s difficult to communicate with them, it’s all good. They have vegetarian options which is a plus.

I’ve been going to this restaurant for a few years, now, and to be blunt I am shocked that anyone would give them anything less than a 5-star review. This place is amazing. The food quality is excellent, the service is very good and very fast and the prices are very reasonable. Their #6(Meatballs and Vegetables) Phở is my favorite and their egg rolls are incredible! You simply cannot go wrong here.

This place was another phở place a couple years ago so i was sad when i saw a new sign and name and a bit more sad by the bland broth of the phở. Compared to my normal spots this place did not hold a candle… or a phở ladle. Even the hoisin that i add to the broth from the container was watery and not thick. The quantity was copious but none the less i was disappointed by the flavor. They need a new broth recipe with more flavor!

Close to home, so I definitely wanted to try this joint out. The place is located within a strip mall that shares parking with other businesses. As you walk in, you are greeted with a water fountain display and then the assortment of tables and chairs. I came in during the lunch hour yet there were not many patrons. I was quickly seated and given water and menu. I usually test out the phở dac biet regular size bowl to gauge how well their broth tastes like. Let me tell you that this broth was on very salty side and could feel the joints tensing up(MSG?) The amount of meat vs. noodles was good and the side vegetables for toppings was average as well. Meat tasted tender. The price though was a bit on the higher side as the regular bowl was close to 7 bucks. Would I buy phở from this place again? No but I may try their other options, such as their rice, noodle, and specialty drinks. Customer service was average and they filled my water once.

The BEST rare steak and vegetable Phở in San Diego. Done. And cheap too — less than $ 10 for a very LARGE.

I came here for my sister in laws birthday. You would think that there’s no way you could mess up phở right? WRONG! My mom ordered their shrimp chow mein and it looked like a nest of food with the sauce in the middle, this actually looked cool! But my mom wasn’t impressed with the taste. My hubby ordered a broken rice dish and the soup that comes along with it tasted too salty to him. I tried it and it tasted like they added way too msg. My brother ordered phở and it took the longest to come out,(even longer than my food and I arrived late). He hated his phở! He also said it tasted too salty. I ordered vermicelli bowl. My vermicelli noodles were fatter than usual. And the fish sauce was bland. To me this place is way too mediocre. They put way too much MSG in their soups, and their ingredients are off. I do not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

I’ve been here before for the Phở but today I had to try something new. After reading a review about their Bun Mam, I was sold on it. It was nothing less than amazing. It tasted very salty much like shrimp paste mixed with lemon grass. I absolutely loved it. The only thing I didn’t like was the hefty price for the the soup which is 12.99. It’s not on the menu for a reason. Lesson learned.

The service was absolutely disappointing. The waiters n waitresses had extremely good mood… so good that they were laughing, they were yelling each other and they generally made fuss annoying us. In addition they could hardly notice us when we wanted something(water, the bill etc.). Untasty untalented restaurant.

Came here for the first time this weekend for a relative’s birthday lunch with extended family. We had a big group, but it was pretty empty at first so we got taken care of pretty quickly! Yay! I had the House Special Split Rice w/10 Toppings plate. I was expecting it to be the bomb dot com because it was one of their house specials, but it was just okay. Some of the items in this dish seemed overcooked, like the fried items that ended up being kinda tough to chew. And I bit into something with a piece of hard bone or something in it that wasn’t supposed to be there… so I had to spit it out. My dad said got the beef phở and thought it was too salty. He tried some of my sister’s chicken phở soup and said the broth was better(less salty) in hers! They have a big smoothie menu, as well. My sister and I both actually ordered fresh coconuts, which we were super excited about seeing on the drinks menu. They cut open the tops of the coconuts, gave us straws to drink the coconut water and spoons to eat the coconut meat inside. Yummy! I like that this restaurant is very new. The furniture is new, the place looks very modern, open, spacious, letting in lots of great natural light, and that they’re not very busy so that you can get your food pretty soon. However, I’d recommend ordering different menu items than the things my dad and I had. Hopefully you have better luck finding dishes that you think taste awesome here!

I come here only for my Bún Mam soup noodles. The soup is made with fermented fish paste or shrimp paste. And a mix of shrimp, squid, pork, eggplant and other vegetables. This noodle soup very different. It’s stinky, salty, heady, and pungent. This is not on the menu but if you ask they will make it. So good!!!
