PostalAnnex+

Usually I am impressed by the service at this postal annex! In the past I’ve always experienced friendly, helpful employees. I just ran in to mail a Birthday gift and was very disappointed by the service Heather D. provided. Usually, I bring the items I need to ship/​send and whoever is helping me happily gathers the packing materials and packs up my items. Heather barely looked up from the stack of papers she was stapling to ask how she could help me. I showed her what I wanted to send and the address and she gestured to the back wall and said I could pick the packaging I thought was best. If I wanted this type of do-​it-​yourself service and «I’m busy, can’t be bothered greeting», I could (and probably will) be sending my packages from the post office… where I’ll likely have a more pleasant interaction with employees.

This is the first Postal Annex to ever exist. They offer great service and they have some nice little gifts especially if you like Hello Kitty which my daughter does. The post office nearby usually has 20 people in line each sending mail overseas, so this place can save you some time.

Definitely not surprised by the bad reviews. I came to this location 20 minutes before closing to have keys made (I called before I came also to make sure it wouldn’t be a problem and Unilocal says they close at 7) I waited patiently as the frazzled girl behind the counter searched for keys she didn’t know how to make. I waited, then she stopped helping me and helped another customer but stamps. I waited, then she helped another customer track their package to Minnesota. I waited. I never said a peep until this girl came to me and said I’ll make you this one key but we closed 10 minutes ago! 10 minutes ago? it’s 6:05 and I’ve been here since 540? Her response, I need to close the store. I was shocked! I asked her if I should have not been so nice and let her help 3 other people since I was there first so she could tell them that she needed to close. Her response… wait for it… Any issue you have with that you can contact him and handed me a business card with the managers name on it. Here you go manager have at it! horrible customer service, horrible! You should find good quality people to run your business and actually care that they have a job in this economy! I miss the old days of UC where everyone was kind. what happened??? never coming back here! Ever!

Don’t know why the so so to sad reviews — I love this place! Everytime i go in I get stellar service and they help with all the small details. Lots of fun nifty gifts inside.
Love the gal and guy who work there. Sorry forgot their names. Would rather go here instead of the post office or the mail exchange down the way near Vons. These folks are much better and more helpful!

They’ve moved within the UC Marketplace shopping center — no longer next to the post office, they are now over by the Round Table Pizza and Beauty Kliniek.
Still have the same stuff — shipping supplies, greeting cards, mailboxes. I bought a DVD mailer here that seemed a bit expensive for what amounts to be a cardboard box. meh.

Worst customer service ever! I came to scan documents and email them as PDF. The old lady behind the counter said she didn’t know how to do it, and that only her colleague knows how. I asked whether she could call him and ask or that I could show her. She said that it was his day off (it was Saturday!). If you don’t know how to work a copying machine and press a couple buttons, you should not be working at a postal annex. What a bunch of bs. For a «business center» the person working behind the counter should have some knowledge of today’s technology.
