Another good place! I went to this spa and feel good about it. I like they use hot stone to take my pain away. When i told them my lower back pain, they spend a lot attention to find my pain point. Thank you very much and I feel much better now. See you next time;)

The worst. First, the prices are a lot more expensive than your average Asian style massage. It’s $ 60 for a 1 hour massage, $ 90 for 90 minutes. so basically a $ 1 per minute. I was already a little iffy on coming here based on prices alone, but since it was the only place available to squeeze in 2 last minute appointments we decided to book it anyway.
We came in and a girl comes out and we say «oh we have 2 appointments at 4:45pm» and she doesn’t even seem to remember that she booked us so that’s already an uncomfortable feeling. We try to pay with a gift card and cash and then we’re escorted to our rooms. Tip: They charge you $ 2 extra if you use credit cards so bring cash.
Once I’m in my room, it is pretty clean and better than some of the other private rooms I’ve been in at other places. After 10 minutes of waiting, I feel like they’ve forgotten about me. Then the front desk girl comes in my room saying my gift card didn’t work and that I still owe her $ 20. I say that’s fine can I just pay you after the massage. I mean c’mon, I’ve already disrobed. And she says «no can you please pay now, my boss says so.» So I was like uhhh okay, can you get my purse that’s hanging on the door, so she hands it to me. I give her the cash and she leaves immediately and I’m left there with all my stuff on the table, so wth… she could’ve at least hung it back up for me because hello! I’m naked under here!
Another minute or so passes and my masseuse finally comes in. She asks me what kind of pressure and I said hard and she starts. The massage was TERRIBLE. She seemed to be very inexperienced and definitely did not know what she was doing. You can always tell when they don’t know what they’re doing because they massage you one way on the left side and massage you completely differently on the right. Also, she left her phone on during the massage and it went off twice. It was on vibrate but she left it on the counter so it was pretty disturbing. The first time, she let it ring a few times then stopped it. The second time it kept ringing and she stopped the massage and answered the phone and took it outside. Um hello? Aren’t you a little busy right now? She was just absolutely terrible and I left with my friend very disappointed.
My friend also had a bad experience too. She said as she was changing to leave the girl knocks to come back in to give her water and then stays in the room to tidy up the massage table (while my friend is changing back into clothes!) and she fixes the same sheets that were just used. Doesn’t grab fresh, new sheets. but fixes the same ones that were just uses, probably have massage oil all over it. ugh, so gross just to think about it.
Definitely learned my lesson not to try new places on a whim. I should’ve known better because it wasn’t reviewed too many times and the prices were high. Not to mention after my massage I checked Unilocal again to see their reviews and that other 5 star review’s user name is Qspa F… I mean, c’mon, really? That’s definitely an employee of the business.

I felt great after getting a massage from Helen. Well worth the money. Place is very clean. Will repeat when I am able.

Great hidden gem. The price is right, they have good hours. parking good. Great solid massage. I have 90 minute massage for $ 90. Not a lot of frills but a great massage. Only been in business 4 months, but good location for Mira Mesa residents.
