My new go to place for a mani and pedi. Susie was so nice and wanted to make sure that every was good. The scrubs are the best and smelled good too. Not rushed and very intimate. This is my gel French mani. Note to self– don’t get the long sparkles, rough on the nail and snags.

Love, love, love this place, i couldn’t be more happier with a nail artist, She is awesome, patient and very good at what she does. I found them through Unilocal, wanted it to give it a try because i was not in a mood to drive up to my regular nail place. I’m so glad that i tried her work is impeccable. I’m very picky and the reason i stick to same person to do my nails is because i like it certain way, with her i didn’t have to even say a word, it was like she could read my mind, Definitely recommend this place to anyone who want to get their nails done professionally and at a great price

Love love love Dominique every time I go to get my nails done I’m always satisfied and get exactly what I’m looking for! My daughter had her nails painted by Mary and she was very good with my anxious 3 year old but her nail were very neat even with her moving around! I would definitely recommend them!

Got a full acrylic set a few days ago by Dominique and they looked pretty good for the first day or two but now they are lifting and two are almost off. I definitely thought this place was gonna be my go to for nails but idk now. While I was getting my nails done the girls barely even spoke to me, they were really caught up in their own conversations with each other..

About 5 minutes into the start of my manicure, I instantly regretted keeping my appointment. I walked in and I immediately felt uncomfortable. I didn’t get any kind of welcome, I thought the people who worked there were other clients. They finally stood up and led me to the backroom. When she started, they kept pushing other services on me. It was extremely awkward for me to have the girl point out my skin problems and say a facial would help me. Thanks lady, but for the 10th time, I’m not interested. I seriously just wanted a manicure, and this very basic manicure took ANHOUR. I have long nails, so I didn’t need anything crazy. I don’t know about you, but I love when they clean up the whole nail and the area around it. I was deeply disappointed when the only thing Marie(I believe that’s her name) put some weird cuticle remover gel and then very VERY gently and VERY slowly rubbed my nails. The gel they used changed my cuticles to a darker color. The nail color chipped the next morning. It was uneven in some spots. I’m pretty positive I won’t be coming back here, so I hope you have a better experience than I did.

I honestly hate giving places low ratings, but the prices and service here just don’t match up. I came here with a friend for a last minute manicure and pedicure. I got the express pedicure($ 20), and I was surprised that it didn’t include feet scrubbing or a massage. According to the price listing, it includes lotion, but I didn’t even get that when I came. I just got to soak my feet and get my toes painted. If you want a foot scrub, you get the next one up($ 30). Also, instead of using their pedicure chairs to soak your feet, they use a bucket of warm water instead… unless something was broken when I came. My friend got the express manicure, which took over an hour, and her nails chipped before we got home the same night. We came at 6:30pm and didn’t leave until 7:40pm, but they were very nice to take us considering they close at 7. I just had no idea one pedi and one mani could take that long when there was no wait. One bonus is that they have a good variety of colors and good brands(tons of OPI). The girls here are very friendly and down to earth, but they focus a lot on gossiping with each other, laughing, accidentally falling off chairs(yes that happened, poor girl), and the environment just isn’t up to par in terms of professionalism. The girl sitting next to me was so quiet while getting her pedicure and looked like she wanted to leave ASAP(her worker was the one that fell). I feel like this place has a lot of potential, but I don’t think I’ll come back. As for location, it’s on the third floor in the building across from arco gas station. Be careful where you park because many spots are reserved for tenants and various businesses.

I visited the salon because I wanted a mani/pedi and I found it on Unilocal.Meri was awesome and Yolanda was too! Both paid close attention to detail and the luxury pedicure was fantastic. About 90 minutes of pampering my tired little piggies! And at $ 15 the express manicure was just what I wanted. My fingers looked pretty and my feet tingled for 2 hours after I left! I’ll definitely be back!

I just moved to San Diego from Atlanta and have been looking for the perfect nail studio to replace mine in Atlanta. I didn’t think I’d find a studio that would be as good as my previous one but Red Iguana surpassed even the quality I’d gotten in Atlanta. Seriously the best nail job I’ve ever had and with amazzzzing service. They really do care about the meticulous details which is what I love. I got the ballerina nails with a nude color… I’m excited to go back in a few weeks :)

First of all I don’t like giving bad reviews at all. When I walked in the last just stared, said nothing and I was confused if I was even in the right place. The reason I believe there are so many good reviews is because they offer $ 5 off your next if you leave a review Pros: Nice– offered me a drink Free accent nail Cons: –Hard to find –Was freezing inside –Took over two hours –Didn’t ask the length of nail I wanted or even my nails out –Had manicure and started chipping 4 days later –asked me to pick out a color after I already had a pedicure –really disorganized inside, not necessarily unsanitary just messy Overall I’m bummed because it’s close

This nice gem is neatly tucked away in a business lot. Entering the salon, you are immediately greeted with a warm welcome from the staff. My objection was to get a nice under cut with a clean taper and it was fulfilled by the salons barber, Tony. Tony portrayed a classic barber ambiance while being extremely particular to detail. My undercut was even lined up with a straight razor. This was by far the best cut I’ve ever had. I’ve been getting compliments left and right. Thanks Tony!

Dominique took such good care of me! Her work is amazing quality. The salon is so cute, and their services are endless, waxing, hair, facials, mani/pedis, men’s cuts! I’m so happy that I gave this salon another chance! I’m definitely making this my go-to!

Under new ownership — I had my hair and nails done by Dominique & Susie and I’m so happy with the results! For nails, I’ve been eyeing their rhinestone ballerina nails on Instagram and came in with 5 photos with my dream nails. Dominique was able to create the most magical nails I’m so in love(see photos). They are the most perfect rhinestone coffin ish nails with 3D snowflake designs. Perfect holiday nails! It’s been 4 days and not a single stone has fallen off. For my hair, I was thinking about some color because I saw Susie’s beautiful blonde and pink hair when I walked in. She told me that it was actually pink from a deep purple that had faded. My hair is pretty damaged so I decided to stick with normal colors. I decided on highlights and she was able to get the perfect non brassy color that I’m trying to get rid of! Photos of my hair later !

Just when I wanted to give up on gel nails in San Diego, I found Red Iguana! This is the second time doing gel nails and I couldn’t be happier. I did a walk in and they were kind enough to fit me in their schedule. I wanted something different and unique. Meri the nail artist made my dreams come true. I will definitely be coming back!

Alena(aka April) does good manicure and nice designes, however the way she treats the customers is not worst it, her customer service is very poor. She can cancel your appointment last minute stating she got stock somewhere on the desert and won’t be able to make it home within 2 days, well we are all human and things happened. But if YOU are running late a lit bit she is about to explore at you. Tonight she told me she sold out the business 2 hours ago so she is canceling my appointment(that I planned waaaay in advance) for tomorrow and moving to LA… wtf?

This place is awesome! Very clean and their tools are sterile which is hard to find a nail salon that follows protocols. Moka took her time and did an awesome job with my manicure art! I simply LOVEIT! I am extremely happy and I am definitely coming here from now on!

I found this place through Unilocal and am absolutely ecstatic that I did! I’ve been wanting to treat myself to a little pampering so my best friend and I decided to get manicures together. After browsing their webpage as well, we knew we wanted to check out Red Iguana! We both had a session with Moka. She’s an absolute sweetheart and was a complete doll throughout the entire time we were there! You get to watch The Hobbit too while she perfects your nails, so that was great. My friend got polka dots and penguins and I opted for a french tip design. Hopefully she writes her review soon, and you can see her nails(I don’t want to post a photo that’s not mine!). This was actually my first time getting a gel mani. I LOVED my nails right when Moka finished. Moka studied oil painting, so I’m pretty sure she could design anything! Show her what you want, and she’ll surely deliver! Sadly, I think because it was the first time I had gotten gel done on my nails, it chipped on Monday. However, their service is so amazing I called and was able to get all my chipped nails re-done! I cannot recommend this place, or Moka, enough! I can’t stop staring at my nails! TIP: Park in uncovered parking spaces. The spaces in the garage area are mostly reserved and you can get towed! This is located on the right hand side where Black Mountain Rd and Kearny Villa Rd Intersect in a 3 story building. Their salon is on the third floor suite 300!
