Stopped in for an hour while we waited for Hyatt to forget to tell us that our room was ready. We were greeted promptly and shown a nice beverage menu with some decent craft beers. Expectations were medium as we read the lunch menu. It looked good, and we ordered fairly safe with a BLTA and a Cuban. Something about the taste wasn’t right, so we ate about half and left to see if our room was ready. Luckily it was, because spent the next ½ hour or so trading turns in the bathroom and downing Pepto. Very unpleasant. This turned me off about eating at any of the restaurants at the Hyatt, so luckily there are decent places to eat close by.

I have to rate this restaurant with 5 stars! The service was excellent and the food was amazing! We ordered just a minestrone soup and a barbecue burger. The soup was very good and the burger couldn’t get any better! Will definitely stop at this place again!

We found this sports bar when we walked through the Hyatt. They have a variety of bar food and drinks if you are feeling like a casual atmosphere. I got the wings and my fiancé got the nachos. The wings were alright and the nachos looked like they could have had way more on them. They have cider which is a plus. Definitely a decent place to go to if you want some bar food and drinks.

If it were not for Bobby and one of the food runners, I would have rated this as a 1 star. I walked in and after 5 minutes the waitress came over — «What do you want to drink?» I ordered and the food runner delivered a few minutes later. Then no less than 20 minutes pass until I move up to the bar and talk to the manager — Bobby — about the issue. He is great and wanted to rectify the situation — although I never saw him speak to her — assume that he did/will. From this point on the service was great — should have sat at the bar to begin with. Bobby is very personable and treats all customers well. He apologized a couple times — not necessary, but appreciated. I had an order of chicken wings which were excellent — so if that is a sign of the food — it is worth a stop in. As a Grand Hyatt — the entire facility needs to remember that and have all employees like Bobby and this particular food server(who probably should be promoted to waiter.)

I had a late lunch at 2, so I didn’t have the long wait or the crowd everyone else is talking about on here. That said, I had great service and a great meal. I had sushi for appetizers and salmon for my entrée because it seemed like a good day to replenish my omega-3 stores. Not bad at all. This was a good experience and tasty too.

Don’t come here for lunch hour, you’ll never make it. My guest and I couldn’t find a clean table so we sat at a dirty one and waited 10 minutes for the bus boy to clean up the dishes and wipe down the table. He was the best part of our experience. My guest ordered a Cesar’s salad and water, I ordered chicken soup(«soup of the day») and a beer from the tap. It took 10 minutes for the beer and thirty for the soup and salad! Think about that… other than asking for a slice of bread, what could have been easier to make that a soup and salad? And the soup wasn’t as good as $ 0.98 Campbell’s!(I swear!) But they charged me $ 8! The chicken tasted like it came out of a can! First and last time.

we go here several times over the last 4 – 6 years when we are doing our staycation at the grand hyatt. service is shoddy, never consistent. sometimes prompt, sometimes ignored for 30+ minutes. not sure why they just don’t have a consistency in approach, but makes me want to just über it down to gaslamp. i’d rather sit in traffic to a gaslamp bar then sit and watch the servers ignore their customers for a god awful amount of time. food is nothing to write home about, your typical bar fare. the hotel on the other hand is great, as is the service on the top of the hyatt. i hope the managers try and work on Redfields, it’s too bad there are so many reviews on the sucky service and no one from the restaurant cares or tries to improve it.

Over priced food. Ordered nacho’s and it was just some ordinary Denny’s nacho’s. Nothing special about their food, and it costed $ 15 for one plate. I do not recommend.

Had two late night visits to Redfields for drinks and sandwiches. First visit, IMO, was a two-star experience but the second visit(late and no other good options) was a four-star … thus the final A-OK rating. Over the years we have had several late night suppers in Hyatt bars and in general they have been fine for what we have needed: a drink and a light meal before tucking in for the night. The first night we had drinks and shared a Cuban sandwich. On the plus side, they brought the sandwich to us on two plates with kettle chips. But the sandwich was barely OK. Very light on meat. Was more of a panini style. Big disappointment. The next night I had an excellent hamburger. Meat was flavorful and prepared to order. I usually don’t like mayo on a hamburger, but the garlic aioli was exceptionally good. The bun was what a bun should be. Not the marshmallowy kind of bread that can’t stand up to meat. Large, tasty pickle on the side, along with kettle chips.(Fries are another option for an additional charge.) And DH was even happier with his choice of a french dip. Our waiter on the second visit was friendly and efficient. We were well taken care of. Redfield’s looks as if it due for a makeover. The furniture is rather knicked and really could use some freshening up. Will be interesting to see if it gets a more modern look like Top of the Hyatt.

I know it is a hotel bar but I expect better from Hyatt. The bartenders are much more interested in complaining about their schedules and gossiping with each other than serving drinks and food. I am not a fan. The beer is fine. The food is okay — about what you would expect from a mediocre sports bar. If it were busy I would understand the lack of service and attention. Tonight there are few customers. No excuse. Pay attention to the customers, you humps.

I sat at the bar for lunch. The service was great and for a sports bar the wait for food was expected. The Reuben was great but the Ballast Point IPA was cold and delicious!

Thanks for giving me basically no service at all. A total of three interactions with the waitresses: 1. «Has some one helped you yet?» No. 2. 5 minutes later I get«helped» by having her take my order like I was at a fast food joint: «what would you like?»; jot, turn, leave. (food arrives) 3. A different waitress drops of the bill At no point did someone ask me how the food was or if I needed anything. Is this the sort of treatment you get at a place like this? I can understand now why this joint has the rating it does. Live and learn, I guess.

Good for a desperate beer and bite but not much else. The beer list is subpar and my nachos were stone cold. Don’t think I will be back. If your staying in the Manchester Hyatt I guess it’s a late nite option but much higher quality food is a short walk away. Won’t be back.

After a long day walking the floor and exploring game rooms at Comic-Con, I needed to eat. It was late in the day and we just happened to be at the Manchester Grand Hyatt. Redfield’s is a sports bar on the first floor. Nice open area with plenty of tables. It was a seat yourself time of day. Not overly crowded, but for 4:00, it was busy. We sat down, glanced at the menu and saw some good options. Pizza, sandwiches, burgers and salads. Pretty typical bar food, but a bit pricier. I opted for the Cuban sandwich while my companions ordered a cheese burger and mushroom burger. The Cuban was ok. The roastbeef was a bit dry, but the deli mustard added a bit of bite and moisture back to the sandwich. There was also pickles slices that added to the overall flavor and texture. It was served with house made chips. I was a bit disappointed here in that some were cooked through and others not. Our service was also not quite up to snuff. Our server came over fairly soon after we were seated and took orders. However, after that, we rarely saw him. Since my sandwich was a bit on the dry side as noted earlier, I had sucked down my water pretty fast. I had to wait for him to roll around to other nearby tables and flag him down to get a refill. All the while, a server from another station had already gone through and taken care of her customers. Anyway, for those wishing to catch a bite and catch a game, this is a pretty good option. However, for the price and with other options nearby such as Cheesecake Factory, I’d rather go elsewhere. Keep on Unilocal’n!

I’ve stopped in here several times over the years. It’s a off the lobby sports type bar at the Grand Hyatt downtown. Typical big hotel bar — mainly tourists. Drink prices are steep but inline with other upscale bars in the area. Two premium drinks set me back $ 25 plus gratuity. Didn’t have any food. Service could have been a little friendlier as well.

Average. Average beer selection. Average bar food quality. Average staff. The best thing going for this«sports» bar is that it is in a busy hotel that has lots of conferences, so it gets tons of default business. I have eaten here at least 5 times just because I didn’t have time to run across the street to better restaurants in between conferences. If you are in to sports, realize you will not be able to hear your games, but there are plenty of screens which is nice. The décor and seating are also nice. I would give this another star if they would improve their menu a little, as well as their beer selection.

I see a lot of negative reviews coming out of this place. To be honest, I’ve stayed and played here very often and have nothing but love for it. Our servers /bar tenders have always been top notch. One young lady name Daniela has taken care of us on several occasions and I can tell you service above and beyond. For those complaining about the price, read the name outside on the big sign. It’s not Motel 6.

We were staying at the Manchester Grand Hyatt and we were looking for something nearby to eat on Friday night. We decided to eat the hotel at Redfield’s. Our server, Marcella, was out of this world… so SWEET to me and my two boys. The kids split a BLT with fries and they actually split it onto two different plates for them. I ordered the spinach salad with balsamic vinaigrette on the side. Everything was delicious. My boys ate their entire sandwich which rarely happens and my spinach salad was really fresh. At the end of the meal, we had a slice of chocolate cake that was perfectly moist and delicious. Marcella absolutely made our experience so enjoyable. Our bill was $ 41 for the sandwich, salad, and three sodas. Oh, and we got to watch sports while we were eating! Win/win!

So this review is for both the Sports Bar and the Deli right next door. I have been here a few times and really like their panini sandwich and they cobb salad. Both are always fresh and the salad is HUGE with a great variety. I always think that’s great when dining at a hotel since you’re normally paying three times the cost of anywhere else you go to. But I mostly like the Deli. The employees there are fantastic! Always friendly and smiling. I truly have never had a bad experience. My favorite things there are the Chipotle Chicken Panini, the yogurt parfait(which has granola that is house made) and a «Chunky Monkey» which is somthing they created themselves. It’s a mocha frapp with banana mixed in. Deeeeelicious. Definitely worth stopping in for. Especially since you get to walk through the glorious lobby of the Grand Hyatt.

I ate here in early May with a friend while we were in San Diego for a conference. This is situated in the lobby of the Manchester Grand Hyatt, and it was incredibly cold, so we decided to just stay indoors and go downstairs for dinner. This is your typical sports bar setting. It’s low lit, has multiple TVs, bar located centrally, standard hot dog/pizza/burger fare. Our server was nice, and she was attentive. the service I received was fairly quick. Because we were in 1) San Diego in the touristy area and 2) in the hotel lobby, I expected that the prices were going to be higher than the norm. I ended up paying $ 12.00 for a hot dog + chips meal and $ 7.75 for a beer on tap. I think my friend got a personal pizza for about $ 12 as well. My hot dog was fairly large(as I had hoped for the price I paid for it), but it didn’t taste anything different from an Oscar Meyer weiner I could have just microwaved myself. The chips didn’t have any of those special«touches» like artisanal cheese or twice baked or whatever fancier places describe their overpriced chips with. My total came out to $ 20.71 before tip. I didn’t mind the experience because I was too lazy to venture elsewhere and didn’t have a car during my conference. But if it’s your first time in San Diego, there are sooo much better dining options, and I would behoove you to explore them instead. So overall: obviously overpriced for meh food, but obviously expected.
