Reynolds Tv & Video Service

On two different occasions in 2015 I brought two older VHS tape decks for service. Herman provided accurate quotes both times for cost and completion schedule. I am a satisfied customer and would recommend my friends go to Reynolds for video repair.

Herman is the best. he is our family go to guy for all TV and Video repairs.

Bought a TV in July at Walmart and In September it decided to stop working. I desperately searched & searched and alas I find SHERMAN. I took my 5 year old 40″ Samsung HDTV into Hermans shop on a Friday morning. The picture kept going black but of course when i took it in, it wouldn’t do it. So he kept it and I figured it would be a week of missing all the NFL FB games! 10AM the next morning, I got a call from him that it was fixed and ready to go. No parts needed– the wiring had been arcing and just needed to be cleaned up. I was inpressed that he could work on it so fast. All the other places I called couldn’t even get to it before sometine the following week. Six days later it is still working fine. Total was $ 125.
Call him first as his business hours are incorrect on his website. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

If you live anywhere in San Diego and you need a TV, VCR or DVD player repaired you must take it to Reynolds TV. Herman and his crew can fix anything. No matter the brand, size or problem he will get it fixed and for a reasonable price too!

After my 5 y.o. Visio one day went CAPUT right in front of my eyes while watching TV, I remembered Adams Ave. has a TV repair shop that’s been under my nose for 25 years. Herman fixed my little LCD for his basic $ 75 charge. Turn around was only 4 days.
But EVERYONE should visit Reynolds just to meet Herman and discuss how he got all those celebrity pictures with signatures. It’s an Adams Avenue Treasure.

Herman, the owner is a great guy who really knows his stuff. His knowledge of VCRs, Betamax, and modern TV sets is the best out there. His turn around times are fairly quick and prices are fair.
I wouldn’t hesitate to bring my TV or VCR back if they ever need service again.

My 46″ JVC LCD TV was getting a ghost double image so I took it to Reynolds since it is in the neighborhood. I like this place because they give you a free quote where as other places will charge you at least $ 50 just to look at it. There are just two old guys working in there and they had a lot of TVs to fix so it took over a week before they could get to it. Also, it was over a holiday weekend so I was understanding about it, but I would stop in every few days just to «remind» them that they still had my TV. I feared it might be the panel which would mean a total loss, but they were able to fix it by replacing one of the circuit boards. Total cost was just over $ 200 ($ 80 parts, $ 120 labor) which I guess is OK since I payed nearly $ 2000 for the tv in 2009. These guys are knowledgable and can probably fix any tv, but they seem to have plenty of work so don’t expect you TV back the same week. The best thing is that they don’t charge to look at it.

I really wanted to give them a 5 star rating but so many things make it impossible for me to do so! I called on NYE and was thrilled that I could bring my TV in that day before they closed and they would give me a FREE quote for my fix. My 50′ plasma tv is very heavy and difficult for me to handle but I am a TV junkie and needed it fixed ASAP so I took it down. They were very friendly and funny and told be they would get back to me in 4 – 7 days with an estimate. A week went by… two weeks went by… I was trying to be patient because I brought it in on a holiday. After almost 3 weeks went by I called and they couldn’t find my TV ticket even though I had the original ticket with the number. He said he would call me back that day with a status update. Ok, I waited until 4pm that day and called them back. They then told me that the guts were out and they were working on my tv now… wait I didn’t even get a quote or a diagnosis but ok its only $ 120 and I can pick it up the next day. I was thrilled to get my HDTV back and up on the wall until a month later they same thing happened! My TV wasn’t fixed, they took forever to even look at it, they didn’t give me a quote or ask for approval before they worked on it. I took my TV here based on the Unilocal reviews, maybe my experience is unique but I can not recommend them for TV repair!

I just got off the phone with Dan. He was very helpful with a problem I’ve been having with my Pioneer Elite television. He gave me great advice, even though I didn’t get the television repaired.

I’ve been procrastinating in getting one of my TVs fixed but know that I won’t take it anywhere else but to Herman on Adam’s Avenue. I’ve referred so many people here because not only is a Herman a funny mo-​fo but he’s honest and up-​front about things. I heard him tell a guy to buy another VCR because it would be cheaper than fixing the one he brought in. Other people would have fixed it and charged him the price of 2 new VCRs (this was a few years ago, thus the VCR reference).
I’ve always had fast service, a good price and a few laughs at Reynolds, why go anywhere else?

I was very happy with the Repair of my TV, and Would Highly recommend Reynolds TV, The guy is actually pretty funny comedian too.

Model: Sony XBR 34″ Problem: Shuts Down Every Half Hour Fix: 2 Power Supply Transistors (I called Sony, described the problem and they told me what I needed.)
With an exact description of the problem, I called 4 different repair shops. Reynolds recognized the problem, had the parts and gave me the most reasonable quote, — by far. The staff is friendly and I had my TV back in 3 days. Highly recommended!

Well after getting the run around by 3 other companies, I decided on going with these guys,
They offer a free estimate… very cool since all other shops I called wanted $ 80-​$ 125.
The owner was friendly and funny. They got my 42″ sony plasma back to me in about 5 days, a main circuit board needed to be replaced.
I wound not hesitate to use Reynolds again.
