Round Table Pizza

Pizza is good, but the customer service sucks. I fell in love with this place when I had it the first time at work and was happy it was just down the street from me! I order delivery often and until recently haven’t been able to tip. The same guy comes to my door doesn’t really say anything and gets pissed off whenever he sees there is no tip. I can tell he’s annoyed because I see him roll his eyes and blow air out of his mouth. It’s like he throws a little temper tantrum right in front of me!!! I don’t know if he realizes that I see him do this. just like I don’t know that person’s financial situation, that person doesn’t know mine and this place shouldn’t make people feel obligated to tip… don’t worry. I’m laying off the pizza for a while so you won’t be knocking on my door anymore

Wow! Never had that happen before! Been here many times for dine in and carry out. Decided to dine in for a late dinner with my friend. We ordered a small King Arthur pizza. I like the thin crust. The portion was just right for two people. I enjoyed my first slice. When I was on my second slice, I bit into something hard and crunchy. I know the pizza had some meats. I wondered why bones were left in it, but realized after I almost cracked my teeth with a loud crunch, it turned out to be something plastic. It was camouflaged with the black olives. I love black olives! We brought it to the server’s attention. There was no problem having our pizza replaced. She actually made us a different pizza without any olives. I didn’t want to go through that again. I will still eat here, regardless of the mishap. Round Table is one of the oldest and few pizza places I like. I’m glad that they were accommodating and took care of their customer’s without any hassle. I hope it won’t happen to anyone else.

The best, freshest pizza I’ve had in a long time. The crust was thin, The vegetables were hot but not burnt or dry. The TV noise was a little overwhelming, but we weren’t there for the TV. Sunday nights are busy now that the kids are out of school.

Ok, so we all know that Round table Pizza is great so this is more on this particular location.(Tierrasanta) By far this is the best round table, i live closer to the La Mesa Round Table, but that one is kinda dirty, and i leave it at that ! Tierrasanta is good size, has ample parking the staff is super friendly and helpful, service is fast, salad bar is clean, stocked, and fresh. Great beers on tap, fantastic pricing on everything. I have 4 kids and this place is good for them as there is a small game room for them to poke around in (to young to play anything yet) my only complaint is not on them but me, i just dont go there enough !!

This is how you know that you can’t go by reviews. This place is horrible. I’ve had frozen pizza that tastes better then this.

I love their pizza buffet!!! Salad bar unlimited slices and drinks? Yes please :) made playing 3 hours of pinball way more enjoyable!

I’m a huge round table pizza fan so I’m always expecting the best from any I go to.
I was very pleased to find the quality and service at this location was no exception :)
I came in on Friday night and there weren’t too many people here which was good!
I signed up for the customer rewards program and received 10% off my total amount of purchase which I was happy about. Since then, I’ve been receiving weekly emails for discounts which are very tempting haha
The girl working the register/​phones was very knowledgeable about the products and the craft beers on tap (not a big beer head, but she asked if we’d like any and offered some tasters which was very cool). I opted for soda though haha.
Salad bar was very fresh, although they were missing the mini corn I used to always get at the round table where I used to live! I guess i can’t have it all :(
There were a lot of places to sit. I took a window/​table seat but there were booths, long tables for parties of 6, another room with more tables set up, and the coolest was a big fire pit type round table which you can sit and eat at. Very neat! :D
They also had arcade games, pinball, air hockey, and candy crane and a sticker machine which is fun for if you’re waiting, or to play after you’re done eating.
My favorite part (aside from the food, of course) was that they had a big juke box in the middle of the restaurant!!!
And with so many good songs, from classic rock to mid-90’s pop/​rock music! And at only .25 cents a song. 4 songs for a dollar! Very nice, i think i got a little too excited at the selection (so many bands i loved as a teen lol).
As far as the food, it was all so delicious. Smokehouse pepperoni, salami, green onion, bbq, tomato and sausage on thin crust with their signature Parmesan Twists. Fresh, gourmet ingredients and cooked perfectly.
I’ll definitely be coming back here next time my round table cravings strike.

Stay away if you wish to order a beer with dinner. I ordered a beer and it just looked funny. It had not one bubble. I took a sip and told the cashier that the beer was absolutely flat and asked if I could exchange it for another beer. She said that would not be possible because I took a sip. I can’t make this up!
I give it one star because the food is good.

we received a VIP coupon from Shawn and tried the same pizza we ordered before. I asked for it to be a little crispy on the bottom and this time it was GREAT! the kids loved and the sauce was awesome! I think we will be back. our 4 year old could not get enough! This was worth a second try! THANKS Shawn!

Roundtable pizza is bomb! I like the gourmet veggie, garlic cheese twist, and sandwiches! If you like thick crust you’ll like round table… the only bad thing is that the price is kind of steep

Izak responded to me within the same day offering his sincere apologies for the mistake and his rude staff that did not attempt to fix the problem. He was kind in sending a voucher for pizza to make up for the ones that his staff had ruined.

Great product, and great food.
There always seems to be a ton of kids in here, but the dining room is clean.
I just moved closer to the Round Table on Severin, but after looking on Unilocal,I will stick to this place.
Too bad the one in San Carlos closed. Mountain Mikes is OK, but Round Table is the best Corporate Pizza.

UPDATED REVIEW: PREVIOUSLY GAVE A 5 STAR REVIEW. So I guess it was «swamped» tonight as I was told when I called to ask where my delivery order was after an hour. She said it was on its way. Well another 30 min went by before I got it and it is burnt. Won’t be ordering again. They previously have gotten my order wrong at least 4 times now it’s burnt. Plus after new management they have gotten rid of the only 2 items I liked to order. Sucks because I actually enjoy round table when they get it right.

I love the personal pan pizzas here! I went with mushrooms and garlic on mine and it came out nice and puffy with stretchy cheese and a really good tomato sauce. It was easy to devour the whole thing. They also do regular crust and thin crust with different sauces to choose from
The AYCE pizza and salad buffet is a good deal at $ 9.99 for hungry people. The service is really friendly here.

Service is hit or miss, but they will always fix it. The game room could use some upgrading and the place could be renovated but overall they do a great job

We had been out car shopping for our daughter and it was 6pm so we had tried to order our pizza on line from my iPhone while in north county to save time. I mistakenly did not finish the last step so the order did not go through. When we reached the restaurant, a party of two was ahead of us and taking a long time to order when a young lady (Desi) on break interrupted her meal to dash to another register to promptly assist us and take our order with a smile! This is stellar service worthy of mentioning. Great pizza & craft beer, too.

Attention! Whoever was working around noon-​3pm on Saturday, (June 20^th) OUTSTANDING JOB! KUDOS!
We brought my son and a few of his friends here after seeing the movie, INSIDE OUT. The pizza and wings were awesome, the customer service was on point and then some! I honestly couldn’t have asked for better service. Side note: When it came to ordering, the very nice lady figured out that it as cheaper for me to use my military ID, rather then one of the specials. Since the total was almost 70.00, with the discount, I was grateful she took the time to compare.
Keep up the good work! We will keep coming back!

Was my go to location for over a decade until I moved to La Mesa. Always good and fast. Love this place. Also they have good price on beers and do a football pick em during the season. Great neighborhood round table. Seems like they always have a buncha families and kids there celebrating on weekends.

Since our previous snafu (see earlier review), we’ve had excellent service. We’ve always enjoyed the food, so that was never an issue with Round Table.
Additionally, the owner of Round Table stepped up and reached out to us, assuring us that everything would be fine going forward. Indeed, it has been.
Anyhow, we are fans of RT. It’s nice to see that the service level has been stepped up as well.

I’m bumping Round Table back up since the manager, Shawn, came through and made things right. Word to the wise… if you try to use an online coupon that isn’t working, just call the restaurant to report the problem and they will make sure you get the use of the coupon. Don’t do what I did and ‘settle’ for something else and then be mad :-)
In fairness to Round Table, this online coupon issue isn’t unique to them. I’ve experienced it other places as well. They can’t fix something they don’t know is wrong.
I’ll be back to Round Table… they are just too good to avoid for long!
