I first met Anthony in 2004. He was at another salon, then opened his own salon in Carmel Mountain. He was very good back then but he has grown into the master of techniques and scissors! He has taken care of my daughters and I for many years. It is so nice to see the well deserved success he has become owning his own salons, and teaching other stylists his knowledge. He is brilliant, friendly and personable. Anthony is the best!

Shalay at Salotto Salon stuns me with her talents every time I go in to see her… I always walk out feeling fresh and confident in my new looks! From bangs and layers to red color back to blonde… She always guides me on what’s best for my «look». Thank you love!
All the employees at Salotto are always warm and welcoming when you arrive and demonstrate a great deal of team work when extra assistance is needed. The salon displays a comfortable colored shabby chic setting with essences of modern day Victorian styled furniture. I feel right at home there! So grateful to have found this place!

I found Lorena on Unilocal as I was looking for a new hair stylist. What can I say about Lorena. What can’t I say about her! She is the most talented hair stylist I have been to since I’ve been coloring my hair for over 25 years. Lorena has a customer for life! The minute I sat in her chair I knew I was in good hands! She has a great personality and she’s super cute! After she put the color on my hair and it was time to be washed off she gave me the most incredible massage on my head I was ready to fall asleep! I have found my dream color girl! There is not one hair stylist out there that can match her capabilities! The salon is super cute its in a little bungalow tucked away and has a great atmosphere inside! I will never go to another hairstylist, Lorena leaves San Diego I leave San Diego! Lol!

Oh Lorena! You are so incredibly talented! I went in hoping to get beautiful, lower maintenance color. And I must tell you I’m 5 months pregnant and haven’t been able to color my hair for some time. And my hair still looks good! I went in with very high maintenance highlights. And left with with my expectation surpassed.
Lorena is an artist. She recommended an ombré balayge since I’m someone who loves coloring my hair. But I don’t get to a salon very often. She really took her time. She is fair in her pricing and will truly make you look your best! Plus the salon is super cute!

New to area. Priced out several salons. Quoted $ 165. Went to Anthony and after several «products» were added to «enhance» my hair my bill was $ 295!!! I almost dropped dead of a heart attack right there. I paid. But got home and wrote them a nasty email wanting a detailed breakdown of everything they charged me for. Anywhere from a special conditioner to the type of hair spray they used. Absolutely absurd!!! It only gets 1 star only because I have to… hmmmm wonder why they changed their name. Bad business ethic in my opinion.

Absolutely loved it! First timer super nervous to trust my hair to people. Amelia is awesome, super friendly and a mind reader! I have her an image and she turned it into exactly want I wanted!

This place is amazing! A friend of mine referred me over to Salotto and recommended Lorena. I’m so pleased with her work. She’s definitely my lifesaver. After having a botched haircut I didn’t think it was fixable but she definitely came through. Wow! I felt and saw the difference instantly. Love her and hope to have her as my hairstylist for years to come.

I am constantly changing my hair from blonde to dark brown/​black. Three years ago I had my hair literally bleached off & damaged beyond repair-​forcing me to keep my hair dark for the past three years to heal. Today I finally made the decision to go back to blonde! I opted for a full set of highlights & was scheduled with Lorena. She was extremely friendly & personable & made my nearly 4 hour appointment super fun & enjoyable! I told her what I had gone through & my hopes to gradually go back to blonde as quickly but as non damaging as possible.
Once she was finished with my hair she removed the foils and proceeded to blow dry/​straighten my hair. The whole time she kept my chair faced away from the mirror (my anxiety through the roof!!!) before she finally said, «okay Ashley are you ready?!» The second I saw my hair I was thrilled beyond words! It was better than I could have ever imagined it to turn out & it was still just as silky smooth & soft as before! I’m so beyond in love with my hair & I will undoubtbly be back to see Lorena for my future hair cut & to upkeep my highlights! Everyone loved my hair-​thank you again Lorena! You’re an expert!!!

I went in today to get a my haircut and to get highlights. It was my first time going to Zenbi Salon and I had a great experience. I usually am very hesitant in getting my hair done. I just moved to the area so I needed to find a stylist nearby that I could try and hopefully become a returning customer. I found that at Zenbi. The staff is professional, friendly and Lorena is awesome! She did a great job on my highlights and knew exactly what I was looking for in my cut. I briefly described what I wanted and she knew exactly what I was talking about. If you are going to try out Zenbi Salon, ask for Lorena!

I love this place!!! Lorena is absolutely amazing. Every time I go in my hair comes out looking amazing. I will never let anyone else touch my hair she always knows exactly what to do she will never let you down. Ask for Lorena!

Lorena is the best! Getting Hispanic hair blonde is hard to do with out damaging ! Well after two visit she got me where I wanted otay otay otay to be! You pay what you get! Shalay Owens is the key to my lovely locks! She is there for all questions and concerns I have regarding my hair, scalp health, product knowledge and most of all, for always making me feel beautiful! Thank you! I recommend this salon to everyone! Anthony, the owner, has put a very nice shabby sheik atmosphere together where you feel comfortable right away… As well as has stylists that make you feel right at home. The salon uses Bumble and Bumble shampoos, conditioners and hair styling products that are paraben, sulfite and animal free testing which is a cherry on the top for me! Thanks Zenbi!

I was nervous to find a new salon/​hairdresser when I moved back down to San Diego, but I’m so glad I found Zenbi! Eliza gave me an AMAZING cut! She was so precise and really took her time. She is very good at what she does!

Jessica has been my hair dresser as well as my families for over 7 years. She has the most amazing personality and truly loves what she does. I actually first met Jessica and zenbi’s previous location in carmel mountain many years ago. I have always been greeted with respect and have always had my services done with top quality products. I have never left a service from Jessica unhappy. Color and cut is always perfect! Nobody can do a blow out as good as you Jess!!! If you haven’t tried this location yet, you should and ask for Jessica!

I love being as blonde as possible and somehow having it look natural. Shalay has been great at making that happen for me. I’m obsessed with my bangs and so she always makes them pop. She’s def my regular lady.
The décor of the salon makes you feel at home with uplifting notes.
The bumble and bumble products really are great! I love the new dry shampoo it helps with my styling when I don’t wash.

I went here today because I managed to get a last minute appointment with Lorena. This girl is amazing! She took & made my hair into something beautiful again! The salon is tucked back into a quiet spot of a plaza. It’s very relaxing and set up quite nicely. I will be coming back to Lorena, it truly was a lucky find!

Ask for Lorena Hernandez you will not be disappointed! She did my highlights and did such an awesome job! They make you feel right at home. I asked if I could bring a bottle of wine in and they let me! I got to enjoy a glass of wine as I got my hair done it was so relaxing. I love this place!

After writing my previous review I received a phone call from the salons owner. She was very apologetic about my haircut. She made it very clear that her salon did not run like that. She listened to all of my complaints and made me feel like she really
cared about making my experience better.
She told me she wanted to give me a chance to get a better haircut and color at no cost. She worked with my schedule and chose a stylist that she thought would give me the best haircut.
I got my haircut and colored with Anthony. He worked really hard to make sure he understood exactly what I wanted. And he got my new color all the way down to my brown roots :)

I have never been so happy with a stylist before! Anthony is amazingly creative! I feel confident in saying this having been a hair model for many salons: An indie Bumble salon, Robert Cromeans, and Tony & Guy. The automosphere is non-​stuffy and comfortable. The assistants are sweet and gentle and effortlessly glide between stylist allowing more pampered attention for each client. I got 5 compliments on my color the first hour after leaving the salon! I lost count after that! Haha– Thanks guys!
Just to follow up, I changed things up for Spring and absolutely love my color-​as always Anthony, you are the best!
