I love this place; always have but especially since the food part of the store has been taken over by new owner/management! The different kinds of specialty pizzas are incredible! I highly recommend trying one of the sauce-less pizzas — mmmmmm, so good! Great service, super friendly and they are a mini/general store, to boot. Gotta love them! Thanks guys! :)

Great Beer Selection… Great cold drink selection. And everything else you could ever want from a neighborhood convenient store. Plus the owner Mike is a great dude. Always there, loves the neighborhood, super friendly. Can’t say enough good about this place!

I have to admit, I really LOVE this place! They’re all so nice and friendly. Oh and the pizza, seriously, you can’t beat the price, 5 bucks! Call your order in at it’ll take about 10 – 15 to pick up! Check them out for yourself. Keep in mind, this isn’t a gourmet italian restaurant!

This spots come a loooong way from how i remember it! Its still some hood sh! t, believe that, but inside, i must admit, its quite nice in there now! Itsa corner store, they have all the usual staples, some odd & ends, and they serve food in there now too! Im good on that, but hey, its clean in there, surprisingly clean! While the outside may be painted a different color now, it still holds the ‘hood appeal’ i grew to love in an East Coast bodega — Graffiti on the walls and the steel gates! Except on the East it was usually some artistic graff which in some cases, made the building look better, but the chicken-scratch gang graffiti on the outside of this corner store(and many in SD) is anything but artistic! My recommendation: enlist some local ‘artists’ to paint it up proper and get ridda that gang graff… dont nobody wanna see that! Need smokes? Beer? Soda? Candy? By all means, check em out! Food? Eh, thats your dice roll! Graff writers… hit this dude up, see if you can paint it officially!

Rafael is not only the sexiest man in golden hill but the most supportive and kind. He made my shopping experience unreal and supplied me with the best s’mores ingredients… ever. I will go no where else when I’m in need of fireside treats. THISPLACEISRADTHEEND.

No idea why i haven’t been eating here already. I was always so skeptical but I eat there the other day and it was freaking amazing. I had a Philly cheese-stake sandwich that was so good. Ill try the pizza next time but i’m tempted to just eat there sandwiches from now on. The selling point for me is there prices. Great sandwich for cheap.

These guys are great! Surprisingly large selection of items for your local corner store. My girlfriend drops by here all the time when when she needs a quick chocolate or cookie fix. Their prices are pretty much comparable to any gas station/connivence store pricing. They also have a pretty solid wine/beer selection.

I live near this little market and come in occassionally to pick up milk, half and half, or to use the ATM. It’s great for picking up things I need in a hurry, like eggs and such. It has convenience store prices, so you’re better off making a complete list before heading to the grocery store, but if you do forget something, a corner shop like this is perfect. I should admit, I come in here whenever I need an ego boost. The boys like to flirt.

This place is awesome. I lived next door for 2 years, and Sal and Ray, the two guys who run it are stand-up guys. I am continually amazed by what the carry there. One time I needed some coloured pencils– they had it. One time I needed jumper cables– they had them! I was floored. The prices for everything are fair. If you’re paying with a card, do it with credit so you don’t get charged for .75 cents. They do cash back, they’ll be your friend. It’s just exactly what you want in a corner market. Oh, but they don’t sell hard liquor. Right now they only have a couple working washing machines, so hopefully those get fixed.

The San Diego Market and Lavanderia is my favorite corner store. This is where I get my occasional energy drink(Sugar-free Howling Monkey $.99 +crv tx) and water. It’s also a laundry mat. I’ve only used it a few times when my machine broke. The guys behind the counter are real cool, friendly. One of them is a big fan of sports, so get ready to talk sports when your playing the lotto. They have a flatscreen perched way up over the beer so you can watch a game while you shop.
