My experience with Scan Diego ran the gamut from being incredibly good to unbelievably bad. For years my family had stored the WWII era. photo albums of a larger-​than-​life deceased family member. The Scan Diego person came to my home and was so enthusiastic about the project that I gave her a very large number of albums to start (a $ 1,700 job). Big Mistake. First it took longer than expected and when they did call to say that they were done, the the person who called did not understand that he was speaking for only a small part of the job. Even worse, some of the people who contacted me appeared to be operating under a completely different business name (Click Scan Share). But the fact that no one appeared to be in control was not the worst part. When the work began to be returned, I not only received my items but I was also given, two separate times, framed WWII era photos that belonged to someone else. Even worse worse, they managed to lose the one album that held the rarest of the photos. They said they would try to get it back but it’s been 6 months and I haven’t heard from them. I’d give the initial person five stars for enthusiasm and I’d give Scan Diego one star for follow– through.

I carefully organized all my pictures and put them into labeled envelopes so I could put them back where they came from with the negatives. I got them back they were in different envelopes so now I will never get them sorted out. All the digitized pictures are in one folder so I don’t know where they came from. They also failed to provide a guide picture to show me how to reassemble the photo albums (as was promised). Some of my flatbed scan are crooked. The video transfers are not very good (although maybe its just my tapes are bad). Seems to me like these folks are overworked in a very tight space and they are hiring people who do not care about quality. They will scan your pictures but don’t count on them to keep things organized. And it took 2 months.
Update: The owner reached out wanting to address my concerns — so at least we know that someone cares. But I’m not sure anyone can unscramble an egg so just be careful keeping things organized every step of the way if that is important to you. Second, If your video tapes are not great, they have no magic to make them better. And third, if your in a rush, don’t be.

The price is a little on the high end, however the quality of their work is exceptional. They were nice enough to print some photos for me as a walk in, instead of having to wait. I would definitely come back here the next time I am in need of high quality prints.

ScanDiego took my oldest family album which consisted of a black pages with pasted corners on the photos. It was annotated with white ink underneath the very small photos, and was falling apart. They scanned entire pages so I didn’t have to take the pictures out. With the super high-​quality scans I was able to have a large-​format book reproduced. The best thing was that since most of these pictures were small 2″ x 3″, I was able to enlarge selected photos about three times the size and see detail that we had never seen in the album. The photo book was magnificent.
Next I’m going to work on my fathers 35 MM slide collection. Brett gave me some advice that will greatly simplify the process.

ScanDiego had some quality issues on my first order. After talking to the owner, they were great in fixing the problems. The scanned images now look great! I am very happy with the work. I am also very happy with the personal touch that ScanDiego had in talking to me and going over the problems, and ensuring that everything was fixed and the images were exactly what I expected.

Vianey at click scan share is amazing !!! She is beyond stellar in customer service and super polite! Vianey made my experience in creating a DVD for my in laws 50 th wedding anniversary effortless and pleasant. Tim created a great video too and Vianey communicates with you the whole time ! Amazing amazing amazing. I can’t say enough good things about this place. I came here at the last minute with tons of old pictures to be scanned for a video montage that I was planning on doing. After talking to BRett and Courtney I decided to have them do the video.

ScanDiego transferred 3 VHS videos to DVD after I bought a GroupOn deal. They did an excellent professional job, even down to the packaging of the DVDs.
I went in a second time with some very old (‘60s & ‘70s) 8 mm home movies that are of huge sentimental value. Alex assisted me, taking the time to explain the pricing on different lengths of film, how the process for 88 mm transfer is completed (it’s done in-​house), how it’s formatted/​editable on DVD, gave me a lot of important information about the process, and answered all of my questions with patience and a smile.
This store is in a little shopping center with plenty of parking, the staff here is friendly, the work professional and timely, the store itself clean. I trust them with my irreplacable home movies– I would highly recommend them to anyone.

They did a great job scanning my pics and videos and it only took a few days!
