Always a good thing to stop and catch a meeting before going to work. Sometimes working the graveyard shift at 12 hour lengths can be a grind. Even with that I still have the best job ever. G-​d worked it out for me to be in the Nursing field at the VAMC in La Jolla. Plus they have been my primary care for the last 19 years. Serenity comes when I put others needs above my own.

I visit often. Great books, cards and special gifts for those in recovery and/​or those wanting more information .
The owners are kind and truly caring.
A definite stop at least a few times a month. We are fortunate to have this shop in a central location.
Merchandise is continually changing so stop in!

Serenity Shop is a wonderful hidden treasure off Clairemont Mesa Blvd. They carry personalized greeting cards, fountains, books that empower, encourage, inspire and give uplifting messages. They also carry a variety of unique gifts specialized for recovering adicts. Jean and her staff are very personable and always friendly. What a great shop to encourage and uplift recovering adicts. That’s why I gave them a 5 out of 5.

The Serenity Shop is a very neat little place. I went there today to get a couple things for my friend’s 1 year celebration. They had a bunch of neat tokens and memorabilia to choose from. The lady who was there was really nice and helpful and it definitely made the experience better. They have lots to choose from, from literature to tokens, from wood carvings and cards. There even is a place for AA and NA meetings next door!

Great gift shoppe. So many wonderful selections to choose from. Wouldn’t think twice about spending a couple hundred bucks here. Cards, pictures and books. Candles also.

You really have to take a look at the principles on which this business was founded in the beginning. It is ALL about the newcomer (whatever the addiction /​issue /​problem). From day 1 the Vigneault’s had a meeting room which is NOT accessable through the store. This was done with NOT promoting their wares based on meetings — the traditions were FIRMLY planted in both Jean and Don. I have watched Jean, Richard and Laura, talk for hours with the trembling newcomer, share their stories and make everyone feel welcome and at home. Is this a business to make a profit? YES and more power to the Serenity Shop for that. However, business NEVER trumps the real reason why they are there — it’s just a natural continuation of the blessings from God for what they do, why they do, AND how they do it!

The Serenity Shop is a true Oasis. Lots of recovery related Books, CDs with talks and music, Jewelry, Cards, T-​shirts, Mugs, Tokens, Water fountains, Dream catchers… You get the gist. The room next door offers 3 – 4 meetings per day.
The shop is a sane, healing place where one can hang out and readjust the inner compass!
