Taste: 4 Value: 5 Service: 3 Went here after the kids’ VBS class on request: D Got the Kiwi Fruit with Ice Jelly, and Classic Oolong Milk Tea. The Milk Tea was spot on. Like how all the new boba shops are offering different sweetnesses. 50% sweetness is enough for my tastes, and the kids already thought it was sweet. The Kiwi Fruit with Ice Jelly was a disappointment. Wanted to get something with fresh fruit for the kids, and this was the only thing on the menu. The kiwi’s were sour and both kids stop drinking it and preferred my Classic Oolon Milk Tea instead. That’s rare for our kids, who love boba drinks. Value is pretty good Their regular size seems 24 oz.

Boba tea and taro drink are only. This is a franchised store so your stamp card from other share tea stores can’t be used here. Kind of disappointed.

Came here during my lunch break. When I started driving away I tasted my drink and noticed that it didn’t taste right. I came back and the guy apologized for not making it right because he forgot to add the powder. He immediately apologized and started to make the drink. Meanwhile Asian boss lady comes in and he tells her he forgot to get the powder. She said«WHHHHAAAAT!!!» And proceeds to takes the drinks to the back.(I think she tried it to make sure we weren’t trying to pull one over on her. Btw. Gross. You can’t take a customer’s word for it?!?) She comes back and stops the guy from making the drinks. Sends him to the back like he’s a little kid. And makes the drinks with another worker while whispering who knows what. When she gives us the drink. I tell her that it was an honest mistake and I didn’t want the guy to get in trouble. Her response«don’t tell me what to do. I know how to handle my staff». Geeze lady take a chill pill and RELAX! I will not go to this establishment again. There are way to many places on Convoy to get milk tea. I can throw a rock and find a better place than this. Don’t support a place that disrespects their customers and their staff. Not worth it.

Too sweet, too large and the boba doesn’t really taste right. But most importantly they don’t have Thai tea but I would say that this is one of the cheaper no as out there…

Tried their wintermelon fresh milk tea, $ 4, with boba and tax $ 4.59. Tasted like sugar over watered down milk, lacking any tea flavor. Milk was ok, nothing spectacular. 100% was way too sweet for me. I couldn’t even finish it and way too embarrassed to ask for an adjustment. Boba texture/consistency: good soft chewy for both small & regular pearls, regular being bit more chewie. Service. Just another typical Taiwanese establishment with Taiwanese employees and young female owners on site whipping them into shape on not being generous with ingredients and not enough on friendliness, a lot similar to Infini Tea: stingy, cold, and annoyed with every requests. The blonde short hair girl who took my order did not smile once, and gave me those rude annoyed faces Tawaianese girls often seem to have. What’s up with that, is that a cultural thing? Sorry I’m not Taiwanese so I can’t fully appreciate it too well. She was also struggling with communication, and that’s ok, except I found myself having to apologize TO her trying to understand their different tactics in menu charges. Not a comfortable place to order, unlike Kung Fu Tea next door who is always super friendly. Work ambiance. I would be annoyed having to hear that blender go off every few orders or so. Most establishments place blenders in back rooms. Sharetea has a backroom yet decides to place theirs right in the smackin’ middle that echos across the room.

Had the strawberry ice blender with lychee jelly and ice cream. I was able to make this at. 80% sweetness and it was perfect! My hubby got the taro milk tea with half sweetness and he said it was too watered down tasting. They only have one size avail and I think it’s a great idea. Staff is friendly and they have a lot of different drinks that all sound yummy. They also have a top 10 list which makes it easy for those who can’t decide what to order. drinks come out fast!

Usually love ShareTea… not sure about this location though. Tea is good and boba is good… but I ordered two drinks, one with half sugar… both seemed to have the same amount… a lot! About a quarter of the way through my tea, I sipped a hair through my straw… must have been in the boba, since a male made my tea and the hair was long enough to be a females… barf!

Invented in Taiwan in the 1980s, tapioca balls(aka: boba!) are soft and chewy, giving a good contrast to the sweetness of milk teas and slushies. With its giant Taipei 101 on the logo, Sharetea is a popular boba tea chain straight from the heart of Taiwan. I want to say this particular Sharetea is franchised by Vietnamese owners(don’t quote me on this), but the authenticity and tastiness is on par with boba tea shops in Taiwan, rich and delightfully thirst-quenching. They receive ingredient shipments from abroad, which makes the drinks genuinely Taiwanese, and they are always introducing new seasonal items! Right when you walk in, the menu is visually stimulating and extensive. The TV above your head flashes the various new and existing drinks so quickly even Quicksilver would miss a few words! From a wide-ranging Milk Tea options, they also offer Brewed Teas, Fruit Teas, Ice Blended drinks, Creama(consists a layer of whipped cream topping), Fresh Milk and Hot Drinks. You can also add in additional toppings, such as jelly, mini-boba, taro boba, pudding, fresh fruits, etc… really giving you space for creativity and personalization of your beverage at a generous size. One of my favorite drinks was the Yakult series, particularly the Mango Yakult, but as of January 2016 they have discontinued the Yakult series. My go-to drink now is anything coffee… Coffee Milk Tea or the Coffee Creama. I kid you not, ShareTea makes one of THEBEST coffee creamas, which was surprising since it is not a coffee shop. But if you enjoy creamy coffee with a hint of sweetness, I highly recommend the Coffee Creama. Feel free to adjust the sweetness and ice level to your preference. Tea shops on Convoy are always hangout places for groups or studying locations for students, but for me, Sharetea doesn’t really have the comfort level as some other tea shops, such as Infini Tea. The rotating fans creates flashing lights that makes me slightly uneasy. In additional, because they rely on ingredient shipments, often times they run out of mini-boba or coffee for weeks, which forces us to select a secondary beverage of choice. Service-wise, I have read other reviews mentioning the lady manager as being«stern», which I am not at a disagreement, but she is well-aware of this and has personally mentioned that when the store gets busy it is her natural tone, so don’t take it personally. Judging based on the taste, Sharetea is phenomenal! Don’t forget to get a points cards and work towards a free drink. And I believe Sharetea Convoy is hitting their opening day anniversary sometimes in June 2016, so look out for a buy 1 get 1 free special!

My friends and I stopped by for some drinks to cool us off. We ordered a winter melon milk tea(50%) with boba, fresh milk oolong tea(30%) with boba, and a mango green tea creama(30% sweet). 30% sweetness is the way to go as my friend who got the 50% sweentess drink commented on how it was too sweet for her. Both of the milk teas were light and refreshing. The winter melon tea uses wintermelon and some brown sugar, which is probably why the taste of it confused me at first. I was expecting a flavor similar to what you get in winter melon soup but the tea has a slight sweetness to it that at I first I couldn’t pinpoint without looking it up. The fresh milk oolong tea did not have a strong tea flavor, but I still found myself enjoying the lightness of it. I tend to prefer getting the fresh milk teas over the milk teas(which uses creamery). The mango green tea creama(one of their top 10 drinks) was creamy like a yogurt drink and it also contained some mango bits in the drink. If you are trying to decide between drinks, I would recommend trying a creama drink. Note: Sharetea is known for their creama drinks. If you don’t know what creama is, it’s the layer of white, frothy cream(light and a bit salty) on the top layer of your drink. With that comes a recommended process for drinking a creama drink. You’re supposed to take a sip of the cream on top along with a sip of the tea. You can mix the two together and drink if you like(which is what I usually do).

Updating my review because of my recent experience. Employees are pretty rude these days. No smiles. The cashier rushed our order even though there was no one behind us… Only thing saving this place is that their tea is still decent!

There have been a few boba milk tea places that just opened up in Convoy/Clairemont area and Sharetea is one of them. I like getting milk tea and trying a new boba milk tea place is always on my agenda. Taste: I bought their hot black milk tea with no boba, as I’m not a big fan of boba anyway. I like it but I won’t say it’s perfect because it’s a bit too sweet. I wonder if next time I can ask them to give less sugar in my milk tea. Service: The cashier girl was very polite and friendly. However, after placing my order, I just saw that they just started making earl grey milk tea recently but it’s not on their menu board yet. I wish she had explained their new items as well because it was my first time there and I like earl grey tea a lot. Oh and the container for the hot drink is very sturdy, which is great! Ambiance: Perhaps I’m just too perfectionist and fussy. To me, the atmosphere doesn’t seem to be very cozy and inviting. It doesn’t make me feel too comfortable to stay there for some reason and I can’t explain why. Maybe it’s just not up to my personal preference. 4 stars because I like the hot milk tea and the container ^_^

Okinawa milk tea with boba is my go-to order. The taro milk tea is not too bad either. My girlfriend loves the aiyu jelly topping from this place. Always come here around 1 — 1:15PM on weekday and I have yet to see line. Our orders come quite fast. The parking lot is quite small although I have not found any issue with parking our car. Will definitely come back for more. NOMNOMNOM. PS: Indoor seating only.

Yummmy Milk Tea! Lately my BF and I have been on a milk tea kick. We had a lay over in Taipei, and checked in through Unilocal and Unilocal told us that Taiwan is home of the milk tea. I guess it originated from Taiwan, that’s some Unilocalucation. We got a milk tea at the airport and it was delicious. Tasted like silk and the bobas weren’t hard but soft and chewy. We started trying more of milk teas with boba from all the other places in SD. I would say sharetea is the closest milk tea we found. We’ve tried Café Hue, TapX, Up2You, Boba Time and we like Sharetea’s milk tea. Their milk tea almost had the same silkiness flavor like the one in Taipei, and the boba wasn’t as hard as other places. We came on an off time, so there was no line. Staff was what you normally expect at any Asian places– indifferent… and we didn’t care much because we just ordered and left. Keep in mind that is review is only for the milk tea with boba(black). I can’t speak on behalf of their other items.

What happened? This used to be my favorite boba place in Convoy… I used to rave about this place… I came here last night with elite Maridel A. after being a cheerleader for their awesome Milk Coffee Drink… First of all, the wait was soooooo long, and it wasn’t because there were a lot of people in line. The employees kept on messing up one order after another and I don’t think the cashier knew what she was doing. The employees kept on having to re-make drinks for people because they didn’t get it right the first time. I was so annoyed because they ran out of coffee milk tea and that’s what we came there for! Sorry Maridel for wasting your time and gas…

Good service. They replaced my drink for me which was nice. I usually don’t get boba because of all the bobas I’ve had with terrible textures, but I decided to give it a try, and it was a mistake. Even then I usually eat it anyway but not this time. Do NOT get the taro boba. Maybe it was bad because I came late at night, but it tasted like soggy noodles. It didn’t even feel or look like boba; they’re taro bits that are reminiscent of taro you would find in Asian desserts, except these are overly soft and processed.

Great value for boba drinks! I first tried this place at the Berkeley location and fell in love with their Taro Milk Drink: SOOGOOD and has real chunks of taro in it. I couldn’t be more excited when I heard that they were opening in SD! I love their fruit teas(love the mango green tea and passionfruit green tea) and their milk drinks(S/O to the taro milk drink again) and I especially love that you can customize the sweetness and ice levels of your drinks. Their milk tea’s taste a bit too much like coffee creamer to me so I always go elsewhere for my milk teas. Their boba pearls are good too, sometimes a little on the chewy side, but I don’t mind that since the teas are pretty good! This place is located in plaza next to a liquor store with very limited parking. I always try to stop by after dinner when this place isnt TOO hoppin.

I went to the location up in the bay and loved their almond milk tea so I decided to check out this place to see if it’s the same. Unfortunately, almond milk tea is a seasonal drink so I tried their original milk tea. I love how you can customize the level of sweetness and amount of ice you put in the drink. Also, their boba is delicious! Definitely one of the best I’ve ever had. It’s sweet, soft and chewy and definitely does not disappoint!

This place is definitely one of the better tea places, and probably the best in San Diego! The parking is a little tight, but they are some other spaces if you don’t mind walking a short bit from the sides. They places is bright and clean as well. I ordered the Hokkaido Milk Tea and my girlfriend decided to try the QQ Happy Family milk tea. They also have a stamp card which can net you free drinks with frequent visits. They have plenty of seating and tables as well, which we waited at, until they called our name. My Hokkaido milk tea was delicious, with a nice toffee flavor. My girlfriends tea, had almost every single topping available(probably only missing 2 – 3?) and she was able to Black or Green Tea for the base. The tea itself was quite light and refreshing. The fruit jellies threw my girlfriend off for a bit, but she grew to like it. I haven’t tried any of their slushes, blends or floats yet, and I plan to eventually, but as for tea, definitely coming back repeatedly!
