Sharp McDonald Center literally saved my life. They are caring, professional and really understand the challenges faced by people with addictions. And their help doesn’t just stop when you finish the program. They continue to offer«aftercare» every week at no additional charge, a benefit you can use for the rest of your life, if you want. I totally recommend Sharp McDonald Center for anyone struggling with addiction.

I feel the first reveiw is not giving Sharp Vista Pacifica enough credit. My expierience as a family member of someone who entered the In-Patient program at VP was wonderful. They are extremely helpful with any questions or concerns you might have. They keep the family involved in the recovery process. As far as the 12 Step Program that was«missing» this is not true. At VP the patients are taken to a 12 step meeting 6 out of 7 days. The only reason why they aren’t taken every day is because family visitation gets in the way on Tuesdays. They stress how important the 12 step program is in the recovery of their patients. Which is true. They encourage the patients to continue going to the 12 step meetings once out of the in-patient level and for the out-patient program they offer the 12 step program is required. You must attend a certain amount of meetings per week, the number depends on if you work or go to school, and if so how much. They also encourage the family members to go to Al Anon meetings which are extremely important in the family recovery side. I feel the staff at Vista Pacifica more than helped us with our issues and really cared about the patients and the family members. They deal with the underlining issues of the addict. They do not focus on the fact that they are addicted to a substance but why. They focus on the person as a whole and break down what their problems are and what they need to work on. Vista Pacifica DOES work if the patient wants to get better. You cannot help someone who is not ready to get better and do all they can to overcome their addiction. I would absolutely recommend VP to anyone who is in need of recovery services. I LOVE them. They have helped put my family back together. I could go on and on about how wonderful they are and all of the resources but the review would be much too long.
