I had the bbq bacon cheddar and it was killah. Hot delicious patty with crispy bacon, and tangy BBQ sauce. I love sauce so I asked for a side of Chipotle mayo. Yumm but didn’t need it. Rock on Smash burger!

Stopped by to pick up dinner to have on the road home. The place was clean and neat, and empty. It was about 6:45 on a Sunday night. The girl who helped us was very friendly and helpful. She wasn’t hesitant at giving her opinion to help out, which was nice. Our food was made pretty quickly, only about a 10 minute wait. We ordered two Kid Smash Meals, a Bacon Cheeseburger, a San Diego grilled chicken sandwich, a large order of SmashFries, and fountain drinks. Our order was about $ 34, which I thought was a little steep for a burger joint. My bf loved his Bacon Cheeseburger from the first bite, he mentioned that all the ingredients(American cheese, mustard, ketchup, pickles, onion, egg bun) combined were perfect. My Grilled Chicken San Diego sandwich had avocado, cilantro, pepper jack, lettuce, tomato, onion, sour cream & chipotle mayo on a telera roll served with a wedge of lime. It was delicious. The kids meals were basic burgers, but the kids liked the taste. All in all, the food was delicious, but I still feel the pricing was steep for the size of the burgers. I’m happy I tried it, but I don’t think it will be my first choice in the future.

Smashburger has improved dramatically since my last visit in 2015. The service is outstanding and exemplary of the expected service delivery for any restaurant. As always, the burgers are great and I also recommend the veggie frites.

This was probably the worst burger Ive ever tasted in my life. I had the gluten free bun which already has a distinct chalky taste but my burger was cooked until every drop of moisture had been removed. I think McDonalds next door could have done a better job. The sad part ia we paid $ 27 for two meals. I could of had a steak for that! Ive had Smash Burger before at a different location and enjoyed it. I will never return to this one.

I want to gives this a better review but I had a pretty lame experience. I waited 15 min for take out, come to find out they gave my order to someone else. They rushed my order, and the cooks cut corners and simply gave me burger that wasn’t to my order. And the fries were stone cold. I ended up getting a refund and went down the street to the Jack in the box where I got a better burger and piping hot fries… go figure.

Pleasantly surprised. We’re from out of town and have never been to a SmashBurger before but we do have a place very similar to this back home called Juicy Burger. It’s not some crazy unique place offering never before seen ingredients but we both experienced a great solid burger, cooked well, good bacon(not that sad flimsy crap some places use) good buns(always important) and the fries and onion straws were the perfect match. The staff was polite. The place was clean. We visited around 11:30 on a NFL Game day Sunday and had maybe a 5 min wait. We also added strawberry shakes and they were way good! Totally better then a Sonic shake or Baskin Robins. If we were road trippin again and passed one along the way we would totally stop in again.

Brought my family in because we wanted to try a new burger place. Food is pretty good. Con of eating here is it’s not really family friendly. Our son needed a diaper change but changing tables were unavailable in either of their restrooms. Probably the won’t be coming back here any time soon.

It was sort of hard to choose between a 3 star or a 4 star but 3 seems to be more reasonable. Walked in with my husband and his cousin. The menu was pretty big. The place was super clean. That’s a good sign. Pros: *good size burger. *fries were crispy. *plenty of parking. *very clean area. Cons: *not really special burgers *nothing attractive or appealing about the menu that made me feel like I had to absolutely try it. *never dealt with the employees there besides ordering food Overall, this place was alright. It just kinda tasted like other places. I don’t have a bad experience nor a good one. It was okay. At least I can say I’ve tried this place but I’m going to try other places before coming back.

Husband and I had dinner here last night. My husband built his own bbq burger. He said it was freakin’ awesome. I had their mushroom burger and it was just as good as the mushroom burger at Cheesecake Factory. We finished off the Smash fries, so good. Will return again!

Went here with bae after a long week. I was looking forward to eating here! I’ve delivered from them during comic con and wanted to know how good they were. But meh. It was an alright burger. Small and over cooked. Not awful but it took away from the experience. I got a mushroom and Swiss cheese burger with sweet potato fries. Both were alright. Dr. Pepper was a little watered down. :/but hey it was alright! Might return, but not on the top of my list. I’d like to give this place another chance!

Not a bad smashburger. Parking is fairly tight here though. Food quality is consistent with the other smashburgers in SD.

Very let down by this location… I’ve been to many other locations and always had the best service and great food… I’ve given this location multiple chances but something always goes wrong. First, the phone number listed online and on receipt are disconnected… I did an online order on a different occasions… Ordered a side of onion strings… Which a paid a few dollars for. Received my food… Asked for my side, was then told they put it on my chicken sandwich(which would make sense since I ordered a BBQ bacon cheddar which has a small amount on it already) complained due to the fact that I paid for the side and if they did actually put the side on my sandwich, It sure wasn’t anymore than what normally comes on it. The girl working, now irritated with me for asking, hands me a little cup(like you would put a side dressing in) with the onion strings… Really!!! That’s a side that I paid a decent amount for??? Keep in mind my coworkers and I have been any times, and have ordered this exact thing and it always comes with an actual side, with appropriate amount… Oh yah, and I was told that I didn’t do the online order right or I sent it to the wrong store as they argued with me and wanted me to pay double… After I showed the emailed receipt they said Okay this time we will give it to you… 10 minutes later, as I’m still waiting for my food which was ordered in 30 minutes prior… The online order finally populates… Keep in mind this is about 20 minutes after the listed pickup time… Not happy with my experience.

Came here for the first time not looking for anything more than what their gimmick is about. The classic smash is a good value at the regular size. Good sized patty, better than usual buns, a fine amount of vegetables. Worth the $ 5.39 I would say. Their smash fries were surprisingly good. Though thin, they provide a good amount of flavor. However, they don’t provide enough for it to be worth the $ 2.30. You’d get more fries for half the price at McDonald’s, albeit less flavorful. The fried pickles were okay to say the least. The breading varied from slice to slice due to the crinkle cut and the breading was a bit too salty for my taste. The hype they put around the smash in smash burger is disappointing, but interesting. No combo options make it a little less of an option for frugal eaters. 3.5÷5 Classic smash: $ 5.39 Smash fries: $ 2.29 22oz drink: $ 2.09 Fried pickles: $ 2.99 Total cost(after tax): $ 13.78

Had a very good experience here. My wife and I had a burger each(BBQ, Bacon and Cheddar — add an egg — and a San Diego) and we shared an order of smashed sweet potato fries. Also I had a fountain drink which I got Power vitamin water(loved seeing this as a choice). The burgers were both very delicious, I mean really good. Hot, juicy and flavorful. The bacon on my burger was just OK(had some areas which were inedible). The toppings on my wife’s San Diego were on point and tasty. There were only a handful of customers here during our visit. During these ‘off peak’ times, I typically find the worst customer service in FF, low end and middle end casual places. Not here… both of the ladies we interacted with were super friendly, helpful, and most of all, pleasant. All in all, quite a good visit.

Just picked up a to-go order. First, the ordering experience as not good. There was a trainee behind the counter who was not familiar with the Point of Sale software. Not entirely unexpected, except he kept having questions and asking his coworker who would answer his exact question and walk away. This resulted in an order for 2 burger and 2 fries taking over 5 minutes JUSTTOPLACE… and then even though the trainee did ring it up correctly, the food we received the most vile meal I have ever tasted. We ordered two burgers: 1. The BBQ, Bacon and CHEDDAR burger… not at my request or what was entered on the receipt, they put blue cheese on it instead… the combo of blue cheese and BBQ was the most disgusting thing I have tasted in my life. 2. A Truffle, Mushroom, Swiss Burger… which not fully cooked. We also ordered two fries, which came in a cup that had ½ an inch of grease pooled at the bottom. That’s after the rest of the grease spilled out over our burgers and bag, turning the entire thing into a dripping mess. To make matters worse, went I attempted to call and complain, the number THEYPRINTEDATTHETOPOFTHEIRRECEIPT is disconnected. This was the worst fast food meal I have every had the displeasure of tasting before throwing away.

My only other visit to Smashburger was when I lived in Houston. I found this Smashburger to be about the same. Pretty solid, but nothing special. But… that being said, next time I’ll order something more adventurous than the basic Smashburger. I usually order the sweet potato fries and those were pretty good. Next time, I may dine in as sometimes that experience is a better one than take out.

Stopped in here for a quick dinner. Service was super fast and friendly. People came around and made sure we had everything, multiple times. Better service than at many full-service joints! I had a club burger. My beef patties were kind of dry(does anyone else think that smashing actually makes the juices run out? I know they say that makes the juices stay in, but…) but the rest was fine. It was not the worst thing I ever ate and the avocado and bacon and bun on it were great, as were the sides(rosemary garlic fries, sweet potato fries, fried pickles). My daughter got an Oreo shake. Huge portion! Easily shared. She couldn’t drink it all so I sampled it. It was good, too. I like how you can customize the burger and the better-quality ingredients all with the quickness of fast food.

Excellent burger. Tasty, tender meat Ordered the spicy baja burgers. Raw jalapeños are served on this burger. Quite spicy. Smash fries(rosemary and garlic) are really yummy, but I personally prefer a thicker, meatier French fry. A little pricey at about $ 13 per person sharing a large fry and purchasing individual drinks. Atmosphere very average — fast foodie like. Enjoyable, no nonsense, good burger lunch.

Going downhill. Last trip you messed up my food twice, then you gave me a $ 5 gift coupon to come back only to mess up my order again. Sad to receive fries in a pool of grease equaling to about a tablespoon of oil and forgetting items that I paid extra for. No coupon offered this time to come back but not even sure I will ever unless you get better cooks. This sad to have this happen twice actually 3 times I’ve had to return my food from this location so with that being said I should not come back.
